I have 430hrs. on my original carbon seal, and it's still good. Just don't run it out of the water for more than about 20 seconds, and don't ride up on sand bars.
nice job, but question, by putting that discharge in the rear like that how would you know if you have a problem? i put mine to discharge by my feet that way if it comes on i can tell that i have a problem.

That is true. I think we'd know if we get that sinking feeling. Lol. We also almost always ride in pairs so we can alert each other.
