Henry is the David Attenborough of the bike world. I absolutely love the way he’s driving this realm ever since I watched him on gmbn. Thanks Henry, you’re awesome 🙌🏼
high pivots everywhere... looks at the 2007 Balfa BB7.... Floating brake arm.. same as my 2005 Morewood... Always wondered why these things didn't take off sooner!
Great vid guys… but who the hell is colour grading (or not colour grading) this video… I know to film in flat colour, but releasing the video in flat is something else 😂

Most notably the rear wheel moves backwards during compression. Bike doesn't hang up as much on rocks and bumps. It's faster through straight gnarly sections. Low pivot is still better for cornering. There are also other factors in play, check out Neko Mulally's latest videos if you want to see a comparison between the two designs.
Funny how the industry pushes carbon frames and rims.. 12 speed gears.. Electric suspension and derailers which most DH teams are not using.. Bet they are still using tubes too!
@@Gehajjs62727 some ppl like the scent of oranges, others indulge in the smell of their socks - there is room for everyone in this world 😉 I just hope this bike redeems its looks in its performance. So far Gwinn has had his best period on the YT Tues, which, coincidentally, was also a very good-looking bike...
@@onemanmob6756 The tues is such a good looking bike too. Gwinn was in his physical prime when on the YT, that’s why he was so damn fast on it. I personally think it’s more about the rider rather than the bike, especially nowadays when most new bikes aren’t going to slow a rider down enough to cost them a win. We are still on bikes and are barely equipment dependent compared to Motorsport. It’s like comparing Tom brady being a terrible quarterback because they swapped ball brands in the NFL not because he is just getting old, but I think that we are flawed in that we compare our equipment like a Williams F1 car compared to a Mercedes. I think that we are a million miles closer to the football comparison rather than the F1 comparison. Sorry for my dumb rant.
@@Gehajjs62727 At World Cup level of professionalism equipment does matter as well - perhaps a bit less than in motorsports, but still... I do however believe that any pro rider can make any contemporary mountain bike look great in a promotional video. Also - at any level of mountain biking below the World Cup - it does not really matter what brand of bike you ride, because it is not the bike that is the limiting factor in the system - it is you: the rider. That is why we - amateurs/semi-pros, etc. - should be riding whatever bikes we like the looks of and which we can afford....

Same
Is he no longer on gmbn?
@Kenneth & Bia The Professor made the move to the US a while ago. Added a lot to gmbn and is keeping that theme with PB.
Intense in tents ⛺️. Henry does a great job considering manufacturers weren’t ready to reveal much.
In fact, it seemed that the guy didn't know much about what he was talking...
Super happy to see Pink bike adding WC coverage this year.
It’s always cool to see some new tech, that I know I can’t afford! 😆
Maybe other stuff gets cheaper
Pinkbike only a week or so behind as normal lol
Love the intense view on things in the bike world
So happy to see PinkBike covering DH for this year. I always respected VitalMTB to be DH enthusiasts. Hope PinkBike will keep this up.
Henry!!! It is always a pleasure to listen tour your knowledge and informativ way of introducing .... cheers form bavaria!
this is my favorite world cup content I've ever seen, keep these coming bruv!
I love a man who presents with a wide stance
loved this video, the content, the rythm, just good overall !
Like the honesty of the people Intense segment.
I love Henry's voice, so relaxing
Henry is a great host for this. Cheers Pinkbike
That Intense is in my bucket list for 2023
Good work Henry and team
Excellent style and content, thank you! Keep up the great work and enjoy the season! Kindly, Dennis
That Intense looks amazing. There's just something about mountain bikes with a raw finish and paired with a Fox fork that makes it so damn beautiful.
Hope they make them in the USA again, I love my M9 so much.
check out nekos dh custom mullet bike.
wdym its not amazing its spectacular!!
I like how Henry delivers his videos
Great job Henry, really enjoyed that.
That new intense bike looks sick. Love the race content. Been waiting for things to finally get going. So excited!
did you mean cannondale jekyll?
Love it - looking forward to following along
Fab vid....v slick & confident.... thats how to present a tech/bike review👍
That intense bike is jaw dropping
Would love to see a series focusing on Quinney's trevails as a team mechanic. Henry is always entertaining!
Henry's bike knowledge is impressive, would need to set up my enduro please :)
I like this bike from Philippines 🇵🇭
When henry raises his voice alittle he's much more understandable.
Great content!!
Love your vids ❤️
damnnnn!! that intense looks like a "mutant" bike..luv it
Man, that intense is a beautiful looking machine. I'd love to ride it.
This dude looks exactly like the dude that worked at GMBN. Same name and voice too.
Next stop Red Bull…
01:20 A coil what?
So, just to clarify, details are thin on the ground!
And how many Oilslick parts did we see? Exaaaaaaaaactly!.. 🌚
intense is never short on quality!
Especially on the old welded in the USA bikes, but my tracer is still rad!
"we're here to make a good bike", seems more like a super rad bike nice job guys
The linkage on the instense looks like it has super low anti rise! something high pivot bikes struggle with

Just trying to fit in with Outside/Beta subscribers......

rockshox doing what fox did, putting a bleed port. I also remember suntour is also using bleed port too in their lowers
Missed opportunity to spell the SRAM Black Box Boxxer - "Black Boxx".
Seeing a lot of new high pivot DH bikes. What's the benefit over a standard pivot design?

Praying that rockshox maade the stanchions of the new boxxer wider.
This intense cranks look like shimano Cranks.
those boxxers defo look like they grown thicker... (38mm stanchions maybe?)
Was hoping to see Neko's bike
go check his channel

"Be a learn it all not a know it all"
Hello, when he is in the video I loose controls if I’m at GMBN ore Pinkbike
the long rocker on the Intense looks like an engineering disaster waiting to happen
I can't get my head around how the pivots work with the shock compression!! It's bugging me!!!
Sheeesh
Fact: no ones buys suntour forks 😬
henry is amazing, the camera shake is terrible
You Look like the Bad guy from Never back down.🤔
It'll be nice to see a boxxer that doesn't look so spindly and that Intense 279 DH is sickness!!!
Intense sure ain’t pretty but apparently they are onto something
Take a shot every time he says “thin on the ground”
so basically bikes have reached their zeneth ,there is nowhere else to go,just companys selling snake oils now...
who’s this hippie presenting? #henryhashair!
Can't imagine SR Suntour having a busy weekend, it's not like there are many riders using that stuff
High end Suntour is actually pretty good, although they're mostly used by freeriders
@@wiremuhopkins8328 Yes you are right, their high end stuff feels solid and plush.

Ah, bolt on idler pulley. The cyclists throttle body spacer.
prototipe intense- Full Shit
is it just me, or is the filming on this terrible?
Skin tone has left the chat
I find it hilarious how secretive that dude is with the numbers, China will have this reversed engineered in no time
God, that intense really is ugly as sin. Probably goes fast as hell though
Prototype bikes are always a bit rougher for the design and welds.
I personally love it, prefer the old school style.
The intense is just another 4 bar bike, nothing exciting. Vpp was better than this and vpp is a terrible dh platform just saying...
Third!
This intense bike, with this rocker and lower tube looks like 💩 - it better perform to make up for the looks
But I love my “ugly” m9 😂
