The potential was already ruined when they revealed Ryu and boring Chun-Li as the 1st 2 Street Fighter characters in stead of having Ken and Ryu be the 1st 2 SF characters. SF5 followed the same pattern, and now that game isn't selling either. Ono needs to stop bullshitting Ken and have him and Ryu be the faces of SF like they were just back in SF4.

Now that SNK are back in the limelight it would be awesome to see a fighting game with Street Fighter, King of Fighters and Tekken characters in it.
Project X Zone 3 with SNK characters? It's not a fighting game, but you get loads of sweet fanservice plus Namco and Capcom characters are already there.
Also, I don't think Tekken and KoF would mesh that well.

Yeah I kept playing this game online with whoever would play it with me for a long time. Me and a couple of my friends about 8 months ago brought it back out and took it seriously with each other for a couple of months again and it really did have a lot of potential they really dropped the ball with DLC and not polishing the game as good as the 2013 Update with the initial release
Man i feel like this game took SFIV's art,dragged across the gorund for a few minutes and said "hey look we made a cool new artstyle".
It was still pretty awesome. I may be 10 but believe me playing that mad me realize how much I love tekken.

Honestly wasnt a bad game at all. It was just a more simplified SF4 with Tekken characters and a tag system added in. But yea the whole on disc dlc thing killed any momentum and potential this game had and buried it. Its a shame.

uc79newtype the game was released with half of the roster then a few months later they came out with dlc for the other half of the characters but in reality they already had everything done day 1 on the disc
Yep like Junito said, the game was pretty much released complete from the get go but Capcom decided to lock away half the cast and make them "DLC" for people to have to buy even tho they were already complete and on the disk. Really scumbag move.

@@kylelangdon6724 this is non canon, Asura wrath was made before SFXT Pandora according to the lore ryu dies or disappear's but that ending wasn't canon, akuma endings explain it he doesn't disappear more like if u skip the credit's the narrative said akuma fought oni Pandora but would find out it well cost him his life which means akuma dies cause oni superior than akuma and according to Pandora what ever power level akuma stuck on Pandora can triples it, so it's a lost for both warriors the power that Pandora can't handle were Jin and kazuya according to the lore but no that's way off

My favorite 3 things about this game were: They made EVERY character fun in their own merits. I mean, everyone had awesome combos/mechanics.
It didn't matter who was on your team. If you knew the characters, you could do some pretty fucking Hype shit.
And number 3: Colors.

10:55- Oh right... Completely forgot that at around the time SFxTK came out, it was more or less the start of the "Capcom hates Megaman" years. We could say that it has (somewhat) come to an end with X being playable in MvC Infinite, but at the time when we had no megaman games, and when Megaman Legends 3 was canned, using "Bad Box Art" Mega Man felt like a slap in the face by a few fans.
Here's a fact: Ono was intending to place the Mega Man we all know and love in this game. But when he told Keiji Inafune (the creator of the Mega Man franchise) about it, Inafune denied it, stating that Mega Man had been in many crossover games lately. So in retaliation, Ono used the Bad Box Art design. And guess what, Inafune loved the idea and accepted it.
UltraZeroX7 It is kind of funny though if we think about it that in terms of "Megamans" in fighting games, Original, Legends, .exe, Zero and even "Bad Box Art" Megaman all got to be playable before X finally got his shot to be a playable character (not counting the "X" skin in UMvC).
Still, never heard that fact before. Probably would have helped if that was discussed previous since at the time, alot of people did kind of take BBA's inclusion in SFxTK the wrong way.
I'm not gonna lie though, I think having BBA Mega Man being in this game was actually a pretty good idea. It was a way for them to show acknowledgement and love to the box art everybody made fun of when they first bought it at stores in the good ol days.
In fact, the cancelled Mega Man Universe was set to have BBA Mega Man in case you don't know already. But here we are, he finally found his way in another game.
It was mentioned, but Mega Man fans tend to be overzealous idiots and didn't want to hear it. Especially since they were riding Inafune's dick all the way until Mighty No. Disaster smacked them back into reality.
Also as a funfact thing the BBA Megaman has so many different versions throughout the planet and were shown in the last Mega Man Comic which I though was a funny thing.

And by all means, I have no problems with learning more of BBA Megaman. I never really had a problem with his inclusion into SFxTK, but like I said before: a good sum of people did take offense to this in spite of not knowing why and how he got in the game in the first place (something to which UltraZero was kind enough to elaborate on).
You gotta admit, despite everythin SFxT has some cool ass cutscenes.

I personally loved this game. But that's because I don't know much about fighting game mechanics, and I don't play online. So I was able to fully enjoy this game for what it is.

The only thing I want mvc infinite to take away from this game is personalized intros. which they seem to already got right in mvc3. Since we're back to 2v2 now though they can make it a little more cinematic. Also personalized victory poses would be awesome too.
The opening to SFxTK is so well animated and the music always gets me pumped to play it. Props to you for playing the whole opening without interruptions. Despite the DLC controversy, I genuinely enjoyed this game. I mostly played it on PS Vita and it was a fun way to pass the time during long travels.
That opening song is the sickest shit.
The theme of Cosmic Elevator is the most epic stage theme here. Heihachi's remixed theme for Mishima Estate (Second Floor) is the second.

Watching this only reminds me that for how long ago SFxTK came out and how we are constantly teased about a "TKxSF" that we have yet to see anything on outside of the initial teaser picture.
Of course you can say that the focus was more on Tekken 7 and the other fighting games that were being made at the time, but it is still something that some people continue to wait for.

Capcom's notoriously scummy practices involving DLC that was already on the disk and blatant lying regarding local tag-team online co-op with some bullshit regarding the architecture differences between 360 and PS3 when MK9 allowed it on both systems flawlessly.

you gotta use sidesteps, jumps etc. to avoid nancys attacks and get close and mash quick simple combos (like 3-4hits with quick recovery), first time I beat it was with devil jin (mostly only with X,X,Y (xb360)), steve and nina are said to be good for that as well, never tried with them tho
Street Fighter X Tekken has always been a favorite game for me. Its only negative in my eyes was Windose Live, but otherwise it was excellent, stylish, fun, dynamic, with a steep tag system, fights and amazing soundtracks. This is one of the coolest fighting games released Capcom. And even now, I would have played in it, with an incredible pleasure, the game really chic. Thank you for the passage of Max.

Anyone else remembered that Street Fighter X Tekken space in Playstation Home, which had that mini game where you fight players? And when you meet certain conditions, you would get Ryu and Kazuya outfits.
Wow! load times are slow on this console port. Bought the Steam version last week and is way faster, only gripe is no exclusive SONY/NAMCO characters.
Multiplayer still works on PC with GFWL, had a few matches.
This game is fun.
Such a shame not many people liked this game, it had so much potential and is still fun till this day

I like SF, but the best thing about this game was seeing Tekken characters in a 2D plane.
One can get tired of seeing the same SF characters (with the same movesets) after a while...
that's why I'm excited to see how SF characters transition to fighting like in the Tekken games. It's a huge difference.

My beef with this game is it played TOO much like a Street Fighter game. The Tekken characters felt so awkward to use. I think this game would have flowed better if it was in the Tekken style.

Yes, yes I know all that. But that doesn't replace the fact that the Tekken characters weren't as fun to use as they were in the Tekken series. I think should have made TxSF first because Street Fighters fighting style can be adopted to 3d easier than Tekken to 2d. And the second game never came out. So we are left with this mess.

When Gouki had already gained most of his power of the Satsui No Hado during his initial training, he became an Akuma with hair that looked similar to Super Saiyan 1 ( SSJ ) and was red in color.

I've beaten the game on the hardest difficulty twice for the Trophy (Have to fight Ogre and fight Akuma), it's a crazy journey for sure! I'd love to see Max get thru it!
