So appreciate these longer wear tests...I work 12hr shifts so I wear my makeup for a good 14-15 hours once I factor in travel time making 8 hour wear tests pretty useless to me unless they are already breaking down at the 8 hour mark. The 12 hour wear tests give me a really good idea if products will last long enough though so thank you for the time you put into these reviews. Was an easy Sephora squad recommendation to write earlier let me tell ya! The grey leaning neutrals are likely aimed at the Asian markets I imagine especially in products so light in coverage... I'm unusually neutral for an Aussie girl that has the complexion of boiled chicken (to borrow a TID analogy) so I like the greyish undertones in products from and for the Asian market despite being caucasian AF, western "neutrals" tend to still pull too warm on me and I have to adjust them with the Missha BB cream which is also very grey. I'm rambling so I'm gonna shut up now 🤣

I'm 2N in Dior & I use the Charlotte Tilbury bronzer in fair as an all-over setting powder if I'm simply rocking a sheer complexion (tinted sunscreen or whatever) & want a little more evening out. It's awesome -- and huge.
This powder does run on the darker side and I went with 2N for the shade I purchased. I would recommend trying out that instead and see if you’re happier with the finish in the chin area. For example in the Dior Dreamskin Foundation, I am shade 20. However, being that I am Asian and Italian which causes me to have a warmer, olive skin tone, I would normally be at least shade 30 or in the 3’s with other companies. I do think you might be happier with it in a lighter shade especially because it’s neutral based. (That’s my personal recommendation). I would love to know if you do try the lighter shade and have a better experience or different thoughts. (I know you uploaded this a year ago). Also I am not sure if they have changed the formula at all; but it does help control the oil come through nicely for me. I did apply it a bit more than it seemed you did in the video, so that could have something to do with it. I also want to note that it was still fairly undetectable even though I applied it a little heavier than you. Furthermore, I use what I consider to be a liquid to powder like finish with the Dior Dreamskin compact foundation VS a straight “out of the bottle” liquid foundation. (I have classified my skin type as combination to oily). Hope your having a great week. Really glad I found your channel!
The application of it kinda reminds me of the new kosas powder I just got. I was intrigued by this, but I think I’ll wait to get thru some of my other orders first.
U r so right. I have a warm undertone and I bought 1N and I’m light medium warm with dry skin. It oxidized and looked dull and grey. Horrible .... yes soft yes not drying but the shades!!!!🙄. Kosas doesn’t oxidize and no shade confusion.
It is indeed the neutral undertone that makes it look grey. That's what stopped me from purchasing it. I think 2N might be a good shade for you? Everyone says go a shade lighter in this powder. Looks great outside, though. Thanks for the great review. Did you try tape lifts to remove the hard pan on the Becca powder?
I am trying this powder too right now (it relased a lot earlier in Europe) and I got it in 5 shades (1-5) The darker ones (shade 4 and 5) actually works very nice as bronzer/contour for a subtle and natural bronzy glowy look. I was planning to use the lightest shade for highlight, but as the pigmentation is quite weak, I think I will pass that on. I like the glowy and smoothing look, but its a little tricky to use as its very hard pressed/baked.
I think the reason it’s not very mattifying is because the matching foundation and primer are very mattifying. Like extremely. So it probably is to just give a nice finish to the skin and a blurring effect. I think that saying it’s a bad powder is kinda misrepresentation. Dior has a more matte powder that I own, I recommend it if you’re trying to mattify anything.
Hi Tara, i ‘ve bought it in 4N and use it as a bronzer, not a setting powder and it gives me , over the natural nude foundation, the most beautiful result. I was raving about the gucci powder (which is sooo beautifully packaged) but this one gives me a more youthful glow.

Yesss, I’ve been waiting for this review, I’m so interested but gotta get a few good recs first. I’m 1Cool Rosy in all Dior foundations but the matching concealer is too dark and the lightest shade of ON is too dark too I had to give mine to my mom so I’m nervous about these shades in the powder ☹️

Unfortunately this powder didn’t do it for me - it was not pigmented enough. I used it as a bronzer but i needed to dip the powder very often into the pan to make it show up

Do you have the Chantecaille Perfect Blur Finishing Powder? I’m wondering how they compare. Dior 3N is what Sephora recommends for me and it looks very similar to the Chantecaille powder. I have backups of the Chantecaille.

For me it doesn't give me a glow, but because it's so light weight, it doesn't do much and it allows the natural glow to come through. Hope that makes sense😁❤
I always had a hard time finding good matches when I self tan, there’s not self tanner that gives you a natural tanning color, even if the tan looks beautiful, it’s always an off color.

But Dior cannot rely on customer loyalty, as in the past, because consumers are far less inclined to forgive brands who simply rest on their laurels.
I don’t like this foundation I have oily skin but make my skin looks too dry and transfer a lot after 4 hours I have not product on my nose 👃 and the covered is not good I prefer the Mac studio fix powder foundation

I would've enjoyed & been better educated on the Dior powder review. If you had stopped after realizing the shade was off. You went to exchange for a better shade match. A large majority of your complaints are up the grey cast from it being the wrong shade/undertone. Plz leave an update if you exchange for your correct color.

Maybe try applying with a fluffy brush, not buffer brush that is very dense. Maybe it put too much on your chin area. Id try a different brush maybe
