For deer this past year, I personally hunted with the Ruger Ranch Rifle 350 Legend, the Sig-Cross .308 and a Glock 20 Gen 5 10mm. I tried the 6.5CM Sig Cross first, but didn’t like it. 2 shots! The first exploded the heart and the second was an insurance shot that lodged into the left hindquarter. It’s all about shot placement and skillset. 😎👍
@@reviveoutdoors4himif the first shot was a heart shot then why did you have to shoot a second shot, the first shot would have been plenty lethal and the buck wouldn’t gone far
@@timothyhopkins5008 true. But you never really know where you hit until the deer is in your hands. I had 3 days to hunt before my wife needed me home (9 months pregnant) so I was trying to eliminate the possibility of not recovering the deer

This was obviously before gun season-was this a high fence area??
Iowa has a youth gun season and disabled gun season in early season. Being a Wounded Warrior I qualified for the disabled season.
