You all done yourself once again I'm going to use this on my boss fishing rod in between the rod but and real seat This is a second style that I've been using on the same rod from your lessons thank you so much I wish I can show you it when I'm all done
Glad to hear it Joe, and feel free to send me some pictures as I would love to see how it turns out.
That looks awesome!!!!!
Thank you Ignaciao.
Thank you for taking time to teach others! I can't wait to try this!
Thank you very much and you are welcome. Excited for you to give it a go.
1:04 can you please link the video for set up? Just learning. So far I love your channel!
i dont understand the set up process. please advise if possible. red line blue line etc.
I finally have all my thread now to make this. How far apart are your marks (On top of the gold) for the black? 1 inch? And are the marks on the back side (180 degrees around) lined up with the front? Or offset?
Dave watch this video to determine the rod diameter, and then use that number as you spacing between your marks. Does this make sense? th-cam.com/video/3jMnYjE-dd8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=4MvXRK5WpRK_7Wz8
@@reelbluecustomrods Yes thank you. I know how to find the diameter, what I am unsure about is the distance between the marks for the cross over parts. Are they 1 inch? 3/4 inch? or what Its hard to tell on the video. Unless I missed it you did not address that part.
@@daveengstrom9250 - I use the diameter for my spacing of the marks.
@@reelbluecustomrods Oh!! I see. Thank you
@@daveengstrom9250 - you are welcome.
I am going to make this pattern. I can't find your video on setting up the marks before the wraps. Do you have a link? What is a senior circle?
Did you see the video with the senior circle in it Dave?
@@reelbluecustomrods No. I did not. How can I find it? I looked at your list of videos and I did not see anything about a senior circle.
@@daveengstrom9250 - it is in the live videos. Here is the link: th-cam.com/users/liverI60gSzNBzo?si=hVl8ZcSOhhFaUUXT
Would you be able to do a follow up on this exact video on how you did the layout and measurements? Great vid and love the pattern.
Thank you for the recommendation, and thanks again for watching and commenting.
Ok, you never fail to impress with your attention to detail. I do have a question; I would have liked to see how you finished your wraps on each end, did you wrap over the tape? and if you did how will that effect the finish?
Thank you Jeff, and be sure to watch next Monday’s video as it will answer your question specifically. Thanks for watching and commenting.
great easy to follow videos!! ty!
Thank you very much.
Is there any way to do this without wasting soo much thread?
Im sure if a roll of thread was $45 to $65.00 each, you won't waste so much.
Im not criticizing you because thisgs are dirt cheap.and affordable in your country, just that by now, there must be a new method to avoid or way to do this wrap without wasting thread.
Yeah, that's what it cost me for a roll of thread in my country. For regular D colourfast fugi and metallic.
You can cut the pieces of the thread to fit the space from one piece of tape to the other, but you have to make sure it stays in place until you add the over wrap.
Thanks John!
