Security+ was the first security cert I had before getting into the CISSP and eventually CISSP-ISSAP. This is a great cert. It's awesome you are putting this content together to help folks. If anyone is interested I'm doing some Practical Labs videos for the Network+ and Security+ that allows people do to hands on labs while following along with what I'm doing with free tools (Packet Tracer and Wireshark).

I start a cert program next monday! My diesel mechanic career went titts up and i followed you for the last few years as a sort of hacker or trailer park IT wizard. I just passed the SY0-501 last month, and the different module Ive noticed that was not in any of the 501 study material was indeed the IoT section, it only touched based into it, there was no mention of Raspberry Pi and Arduino, it did have that infamous MFP. I am currently a pharmacy technician switching to IT, been a pharm tech for 14 yrs. it is now 10/9/20, i passed the Security+ 9/30/20, and I have kust gotten an interview in a Data Operation Center, creating networks, rack and stacking, possibly network configurations, which iam excited to learn more about, This certification really opens doors, will def recommend it. Good Luck to everyone, you can do it!
This style of delivery is so much more engaging than some of the resources out there that just cram info with minimum tonal inflection. aka dry as hell

As someone who has passed CEH and OSCP certifications and its guru rank at HTB I can only say that I've learnt much more from practical courses and from self learning that from others that only give you a text to memorize. Its nice to know about CIA and all those concepts but for a person who likes to be in the red/blue team, the skills are obtained when you have to learn how to defeat security, not when you learn about 1990's viruses.

So I am going to teach you how to fish :D : Google is a powerful search engine, and the words "pdf" and "free" are really useful. It is not very ethical, but try to combine these words with what you are looking for on Google and you might be surprised of the results.
I love this channel. You got me interested from moving from basic IT to more advanced security and hacking ethically. Just got my first Raspberry pi 4 b 8gb based on your previous recommendation for its use in kali Linux. I just finished installing kali Linux on it and I'm playing around with my own home network and microservers. Wish me luck.
Because of you I'm also thinking of and started a project with tech wizard in a another country to make our product line for silo safely systems smarter and better using SBC's. And probe sensor upgrades. Apperantly our R&D department in Italy have been trying to make the same thing but using much older tech. Maybe we can bring a company thats stuck in the old ideas of 50 years ago to the modern age and show our head boss that technology is worth investing in and installing with his products

dude almost every video in youtube about comTIA security+ says why you need this certification but no one says about the exams environment and the topics you need to study to take this exam. btw nice video chuck very helpful

Love the video. I've been watching your videos for awhile. I am 3 classes away from earning a Bachelor of Applied Science - Cyber Operations Emphasis at the University of Arizona. I keep hearing about the low unemployment in this field and I hope that I have set the correct course of study to get employed and pat off these dang student loans. Keep up the great job.

As someone who has passed CEH and OSCP certifications and its guru rank at HTB I can only say that I've learnt much more from practical courses and from self learning that from others that only give you a text to memorize. Its nice to know about CIA and all those concepts but for a person who likes to be in the red/blue team, the skills are obtained when you have to learn how to defeat security, not when you learn about 1990's viruses.

So I am going to teach you how to fish :D : Google is a powerful search engine, and the words "pdf" and "free" are really useful. It is not very ethical, but try to combine these words with what you are looking for on Google and you might be surprised of the results.

I love this channel. You got me interested from moving from basic IT to more advanced security and hacking ethically. Just got my first Raspberry pi 4 b 8gb based on your previous recommendation for its use in kali Linux. I just finished installing kali Linux on it and I'm playing around with my own home network and microservers. Wish me luck.
Because of you I'm also thinking of and started a project with tech wizard in a another country to make our product line for silo safely systems smarter and better using SBC's. And probe sensor upgrades. Apperantly our R&D department in Italy have been trying to make the same thing but using much older tech. Maybe we can bring a company thats stuck in the old ideas of 50 years ago to the modern age and show our head boss that technology is worth investing in and installing with his products
If you are reading this Chuck. Maybe make a video on how to use relay switches with Pi's and maybe if there is suggest a board that can support hi voltage inputs that can be understood by the Pi's

I am new to the IT world but you Chuck make it so understandable and for me starting at the ripe old age of 37 makes it so much easier. I know 1 thing you cannot get exactly certified for. That is: years of experience in working with certain types of office people or their management. No matter how much certification i have, i still have trouble convincing them that their hired it. dept. sold them stuff they dont need and or dont know how to use :D #epictimes realy
