I like the way they play upon the inability, sometimes, of humans to be mindful of nuance and misunderstandings. We each are ignorant of another person's experience, so it'd be best to think and communicate, explain and apologize if necessary, and to not jump off the edge - so to speak. Curb artfully showcased most of our inability to do any of the above, whether it's about alleged sexual abuse, gender equity, racism, women's rights, political affiliation, etc. We have work to do imho, men and women. Peace and Love. 🇺🇸
I think Curb has to be one of the most insightful shows around -- it exposes little infuriating parts of life that people other than Larry David couldn't make funny, or couldn't make accessible. I don't dispute sexual allegations and wholeheartedly think that people's trauma shouldn't be discounted, but I do think we've become all to easy to jump to conclusions in all parts of life -- and Curb Your Enthusiasm frames this phenomenon in a situation that, hopefully, will only ever exist in Larry David's parallel TV reality. To be clear: I support those with the courage to speak up about rape/sexual harassment and support a society in which we believe people's stories. I just think this episode is a shining example of Larry David's genius way of interpreting modern life.
@m. e. nash - when he just wanted the hors d’oeuvres that the ignorant bitch wouldn’t grant Larry the opportunity to have. Granted, the situation that follows is just as unrealistic as all the other shit Larry ends up dealing with, but the entitlement and ignorance we see in just about every character Larry has to deal with is both believable and reminiscent of glib, programmed American libtards that it’s as painful to watch as it is humorous at times.
