It's about 6 or 7 tons according to the crew in Plaza Huincal in Argentina, where the animal is found. That would be the upper limit for the genus, I was told by Rodolfo Coria..
Great attempt and great job Everyone at Digit Nerd HTv... Just my thoughts and correction.. Lystrosaurus, Dimorphodon, Dimetrodon, Pteranodon, Quetzacoatlus, Mosasaurus, are not dinosaurs. They are archosaur reptiles and proto-mammals ( I have published work on Dimetrodon grandis and Dimetrodon occidantilis from New Mexico) - Nasutoceratops is spelled incorrectly my Friends, I love the quality of the production though. Giganotosaurus carolinii is too big, and Tyrannosaurus rex is actually heavier and taller though.
Kind of wish the (Jurassic) movies used accurate size, proportions, body shape, and stances. Also, I don't think the dilophosaurus of the Jurassic movies were ever twenty feet long, maybe half the length and height, but never full size.
Dilophosaurus weatherilli was actually a large animal. The first large dinosaur in the world during the Early Jurassic's Kayenta Formation. It's found in Arizona near the Hopi and Navajo Reservation and a few unpublished ones in New Mexico. It's about 10 feet tall and the individuals I have seen at the University of California at Berkeley easily neared 20-30 feet long. They were long and slender. They are related to Ceolophysis and they are ceratosaurs.
@@kevin21976 My second part of the comment was on how large the dilo was, and how small the ones in the Jurassic movies were. Never said they were small to begin with. If you're going to reply, please read more thoroughly.
