솔직히 가장 좋아하고 이사람이 우승했음 좋겠다 싶은 멤버는 유재석이었지만
이사람이 어떤 재미를 줄까 어떤 걸 보여줄까 등 가장 기대를 했던 멤버는 이광수였음
솔직히 이겻음 좋겠다 난 이멤이 좋다 는 다들 갈리겠지만 기대가 제일 많았고 기대에 답해줬던 멤버는 누구냐 물어보면 대다수가 이광수라고 말할거임

Adding a new member in would just add a new person with a brand new set of personalities. No one can ever replace Kwang Soo. Hell, no one can ever replace Gary, either.
That's it, it's not about replacing but bringing a new wind. Right now running man don't really need such new wind so it's "ok", but if at some point it become needed adding a member might be a good move.
Thought, if Kwangsoo recover enough to come back, that would be the best.
If they do "replace" someone they would be shooting their self on the foot..

초딩맨 소리 듣던 런닝맨 정철민 피디가 끌어올려놓고 보필피디가 초창기부터 있던 짬바로 거의 1박2일 나영석 피디처럼 또다른 멤버급 활약을 보여주면서 유래없이 잘나가는 런닝맨이니 어떻게든 살아날거라고 생각함. 외국 채널에서 런닝맨 이슈 다루길래 흥미로워서 봤더니 걱정해주는 사람 너무 많아서 뿌듯함 반 신기함 반으로 댓글 남겨봄ㅋㅋ
What Korean fan said at the end of video was true because when sechan and somin joined everyone compared them to old Monday couple immediately, so whoever replaces kwangsoo will have a hard time with comparisons
And it is sad when a Korean says that because that person knows international fans will hate that person

No one ever compared JSM and YSC to the Monday couple. You're literally making crap up because their shipping didn't happen until maybe a year ago, not when they first arrived (which is early 2017). The first ship was JSM and LKS and that was very brief. I'll never understand why fake fans like you just make crap up for no one reason. Idiot....

People were saying they the next couples because they same age and they arrived at same time. Then they started talking about Gary. I just saw those comments and then made my own comment here based on those comments. Thats all....no need to be harsh dude
KS left a big empty space since his last episode. The remaining members are doing their very best to fill that gap. Adding another member shouldn't be an option atleast not for now. As a solid watcher, I can see how they're doing fine. The last episode(564) was so much fun. Ofcourse, wouldn't blame others if they find the new concept boring and far from the concept and theme before. I do too, at times. But still I can't get myself to skip even a single episode because apparently Running Man has become my greatest escape from all the piled exhaustion and stressed I've had through the whole week. RM makes my week complete. Even now without LKS, without adding a new members, let's just keep on supporting them. Trust the remaining members and the production crew, Bopil PD has so much plan for the show. Wait until there's no restrictions anymore and see how they'll give us those tour and city races again.
as much as us overseas viewer enjoy it, their ratings are dipping since he left. If it gets to 3 we should prepare for the end of the road.
@@LoQOpa Fortunately, even with those dropping numbers. They don't have a plan on ending the show anytime soon. So expect it to run for a couple of years more.

I don’t think they have any budget nowadays. Compare them to other variety shows like sixth sense, the great escape, 2d1n, and how do you play. It is very obvious that they don’t have a big budget or that the staff does not want to think big.
@@ace3han I don't think it's because of the budget. We can't completely have it compared with the sixth sense since RM is a weekly variety show. Where Sixth sense is what? Compose of 8 episode per season. Ofcourse ,the budget flow is not limited since the episode is the one that is limited. Considering the low ratings, SBS still manage to produce an episode weekly. As per the articles says, Running Man has been airing for more than a decade now. They are untouchable now. Even Bopil pd says that they are not bothered with that low numbers now. He clearly stated that he personally has a lot of big plans such as big races, special episodes and global races. They just couldn't do it because of the pandemic. RM had been a household name for SBS, they couldn't let it go mainly because of its popularity overseas. It will sure come to an end considering the Members age. But not anytime soon. Enjoy the show, they will still definitely can give as a lot.
Here's my take. Kwang Soo is irreplaceable. There is no one that can fill those shoes. That being said, if and when RM does get a new member or members, please all fans foreign and domestic, let's support them. And if RM does go away eventually, as sad as alot of us will be let's support that too. The other members are not getting any younger and they have injuries. Let's worry about their health as well.
Finally someone that sees this as just a tv show and understands that tv shows needs freshness to survive and that in some point the show will end
Just because they add new member doesn't mean it is to replace kwang soo,they might do it to add new different charm to the show

honestly the one is irreplaceable only yoo jaesuk, if yoo jaesuk quit, the show will end immadiately, except if running man decided with new season series, if someone else quit, then like it or not someone will fill that although his charm is different with old member, 1n2d managed to survive with different members, why not running man? for me running man is more important than individuals because people had their own personal life and issues

I am rewatching RM from episode 1. OMG the transformation of LKS is amazing and we have YJS to thank for that.
He was so quiet and soy back then. Always getting interrupted when trying to say something. Always getting his nametag ripped off easily. He was invisible almost.
His journey on RM could be seen as one any fan can walk in life. From relative obscurity to someone's prince.

I have loved sechan and somin since the very beginning and I'm sure I can start to love the new member if they decided to recruit again. But honestly, Kwangsoo's place better be empty. Because obviously no one can replace him, and the chemistry of the members now is great, I don't think they need new members. They are great as how they are now, and I will support them until the end.
Question how can someone be replaced when that person willingly left ?🤔 you should stop and think that this is just a tv show nothing more

@@MrAresxy07 this is a variety show that one of the strength is chemistry between the members so opinions about things like this is common and I have right to comment on it. Also I don't know what's the correlation between willingly to leave and being replaced, because the place is empty anyway, the energy that is used to be there is gone anyway so the idea to fill that emptiness will exist whether he left willingly or not but like I said, the members now doing a great job to cover it.

Toxic fans don't deserve a new member. That new member will be traumatized even if that person is as nice as IU. They're better off watching the members drop off one-by-one with no additions until the show ends.

At first i also had a low expectations for soomin and sechan, but i never said anything bad about sechan and soomin, and now we see that they are amazing additions to RM. Now, its not a surprise if the pd is afraid to recruit new member after the shit international fans gave to the new members. People fix your attitude.

tbh i get that every member in rm are working their hardest, but ever since kwangsoo left i no longer found the program fun or entertaining to watch. I used to look forward to every running man episode, excited to see his silly antics. Without him I have moved on and running man don’t even cross my mind anymore. This video just happened to pop up in my feed and I was curious about it as it mentioned kwangsoo.
I don't think they "need" to replace kwangsoo, a new personalities or characters won't hurt the program... I think

Even if the PD have no intention to replace kwangsoo with the new recruit, the fans will interpret it however they like, and will compare the new member to kwangsoo. if only they can introduce apprentice/mentorship for each members so that when the time comes there will be new faces and past outdoor activities can resume again.
If they introduce apprentices, they should at least find someone interesting with athletic skills and novel personality. Right now i think it's hard to find someone with Kim Jongkook and Jihyo's skills in RM. KJK's role in RM is Mr. Capable, and he truly live up to his name, while Jihyo's skill is her good luck and ace. It's hard to find a female member like Jihyo. For as long as RM has aired, i've yet to see female guest with Jihyo's good luck and skills in games, people might say that Jihyo has more experience as RM member in playing games, but she has shown her skill in her very first variety show appearance in Family Outing, where she beat Lee Hyori consecutively in games. If they find new apprentice, i hope the female member should at least be as interesting as Jihyo

I will always love RM either way around. With new member or no new member, RM alive in my heart.
It will take some time to adjust, not only the RM members but to us (the fans), I just hope that the fans to not being so judgmental on the new member (if there is any) and please don't compare them with anyone.
Each members are unique and distinctive. Like you and me, we are different in many ways.
Let's be fair and given them some room to grow and develop their chemistry and roles.

i had no idea that so min received that much hate when she first joined running man and knowing this makes me really sad. i absolutely love so min so much i find her personality so refreshing to watch, she's hilarious and i don't really watch a lot of other variety shows but from what i can see you rarely find someone as bold and daring like so min is in the korean entertainment industry
Back then, in some steeaming websites, I was in a lot of online fights with Somin's haters.
They died down eventually after a long time, especially after their 10 years concert episode.
They saw that a lot of people love Somin.

The PD knows they can always have guests. I bet most of the members who have been there for years all have injuries of some sort and they are about 10 years older, that must affect what they can do. The amount of running around buildings or in outside locations to rip off name tags, or diving from heights etc. declined significantly. Also, after a while, doing the same thing every few weeks becomes less interesting and novel. I love the show though; it makes me laugh every week. I liked Infinite Challenge and Two Days One Night as well. It must be hard for a show or actor when their career depends on public opinion, the public can be pretty unpredictable and fickle.
I hope the PD will take good care of the crew as well. Without them there would be no show, they're important too.
Nice comment 👍🏻 and jaesuk in one of the latest episodes said that RM in the beginning was focus only on the guests and running around but now things have changed and they are comfortable with the new style and I think is because they don't have to force their bodies to run around or do hard stuff games

Even until now, no one can replace Gary, how much if it's Kwang Soo, right. Someone commented about having 7 members would be fun but remember that even before So Min and Sechan, RM is originally 7 members with Gary and it went well. I still love that 7012 tho.

-PD is ok with the current chemistry with YSC&JSM
-They don't want the same thing happen to the new member like JSM in 2017(which she received quite a lot of hate due to replacing Gary)

To be honest, it's obvious that foreign fans will find fault with anyone. How can I add a new member? I don't want to see a sad situation like Jeon So-min again.
Kang Han-na would be my favorite choice to join the cast. But, I would prefer it to remain an open space in case LKS heals fully and wants to rejoin. They may not want to jinx anything by mentioning him returning, but it feels to be like LKS really didn't want to leave deep down but did what he thought was best. Running Man had 7 members for a good long while so it'll be fine with just seven. however, if they do decide by next year to add a new member then id love it to be Kang Han-na. Also maybe they should try and book some guests to stay for a couple of weeks and do some specials with them like the UK and Switzerland trips.
I absolutely agree... If Kwangsoo cannot come back... I would like to add Kang Hanna... If I'm not mistaken there is no one who appears more in RM as a guest than Kang Hanna... But I guess she's too busy these days, and have no time to appear as a guest... Well, you can say she's one of the celebrities who made their names big after appearing on RM... If not her, I would like Jessi, Mijoo, Sangyeob (or any Family Package members), Seho or Cha Taehyun

@@BPunisherFox 8 members at that time , it really saved the show. All members including SM and SC and PDs too. PDs wrote amazing projects and members made them fun. Lots of people especially from Myanmar(my country) who are hating on new members and PDs didn't know that to this day because they still think people are watching just to see old members and their delusional opinions of old members saved the show , not PDs , not new members. If it were just old members at that time, the show will end for sure. Also, the show is about to end itself already at that time becoz of news releasing JK and JH are to be kicked out and bring in KHD.

I started watching Running Man clips on TH-cam recently because of Jeon Somin. I've never watched RM before but now I love it so much. And it's all because of Somin. That's why I couldn't understand at first when people said that she was hated.
Me too. Jeon Somin is a variety genius. Immature fans are just jealous of her talent. I can't think of any other celebrity whose family have also been the target of hate. Its been four years and they still won't stop the harassment. The haters also leave fake bad reviews for her films/dramas, have mass reported her Instagram to shut it down amongst other despicable acts.
I can't imagine what they might do to a new member, especially a female who 'steals' screen time.

At first i disagree with the addition of SeChan and So Min, but after watching more and more episodes, my thoughts changed. They fit well in the show especially So Min. Her carefree attitude makes her really funny and lightens up the mood of everyone.
They still don't pick a new member for sure because of the fans expectations. :) Let's be real that the other fans will definitely and surely say that no one can replace LKS/KG slot etc etc even that it is not the productions goal. I mean, they don't include a new member to replace the slot or role that was left but to fill the empty space so that there will be more permanent members. Oh come on. Stop making LKS looks like a martyr, he's one of my favorites too but his exit has no or very little connection with his ankle injury. Just read between the lines on the comments of the other members, "that he's like a family member, so they won't give comment that'll distort the truth and harm LKS". If it's really because of his ankle injury, he can just file a long leave of absence, no need to leave permanently and he won't be accepting TV and movie projects left and right. I think his reason is more on concentrating on his movie career, people won't recognize him as a serious actor if he remain in RM with his funny antics.
As for RM's new format of mostly quizzes than physical games like they've been doing during their younger years, even before LKS's accident, they've already been slowly shifting to lesser contact or physical games. Most members are aging, they're not as agile as before anymore, totally no connection to LKW's injury.

I agree that no one can be replaced but if you guys want the show to go on, there must be flexibility to allow new people to join and allow the show to continue to grow or move in a new direction. If the show comes to an end, you guys should take the blame as no other show will be able to replace running man.
Tbh, i'm excited when Se Chan and So min joined because new face means new personality and character. And fortunately, Se Chan and So Min did well. In fact, So Min is my fav member after LKS. I just knew today that So min had hard time when she just joined. Poor So min. Adding a new member would be good. But not for now.
So min and se chan become great addition when they find out their role in cast dynamic and chemistry. Although it's indeed really hard journey when they debut as new member ( so min with the hate from toxic rm fans and se chan lack of roles and presence )

I do believe JSM and YSC give new breath to RM. Saying foreign fans hate JSM is just too much. We don't hate her but her antics is just too much. She should know when to stop. I like JSM then and I like here now, but if she is acting up then I feel like smacking her hard to stop. As for SJH, I do feel like she isn't as energetic as back then and that might be why her screen time decrease. That's where I feel the PD should create new role or skit for SJH to transition in after MC broke up.
The PD also should give the member equal roles and screen time. Each member have their own unique personalities. That hateful PD is very notorious to like certain member only (if you know, you know). PD Bopil is doing an amazing job with the writers & members. It's nice to see his chemistry with the cast members.
PD Bopil is taking the right decision by not recruiting new members. If they did, I will feel LKS legacy in RM will be undermine and disregards. Which will be very disappointing and sad. Give time for fans to grieve LKS departure and enjoy the existing members chemistry, before adding new member will be the best for all.

why? if they suddenly add a new cast member on the show rght after KS left that would be quite a mistake. But if they want to put a new member i would say add them after a couple on month. 3-5 month.
Tbh I don't really care if they add a new member to show to help RM. But it could be a double edge sword tbh. Either it's gonna make the rating skyrocket or just gonna make it plummet to the ground. For example YSC and JSM u could see how hate she got from the people after joining RM. But after a couple of month they began to love her more than to hate her.

I love watching running for its original theme, a 'running' program... But yeah i'm not one of the avid fan.. As a viewer that watch the show as for the original theme of the show, yeah i've been not watching it constantly since the quiz theme ep released.. N i've always thought that they should just change the members to more active members... But i also know that fans favor rm members as much as an idol... So im just thinking if this show still going on likt it is now, yeah avid fans can watch the members as much as they want, but because there aren't new generation of rm fans, the show will die soon same as idol group disbandment... Your comment is good but busted is kinda like RM just different people while master in the house depends heavily on the guests but both are enjoyable shows now RM has a lot of young people watching it not just 40+ viewers and their themes have changed several times mostly due to the poor views and members getting old because 5 of them are over 40 years old so they can't be doing extreme games with younger guests so eventually this show like any other has to come to a end but if they can go out on their terms will be the best option instead of getting cancel
I have always kept this in mind even before Kwang Soo really did leave the show, and even after he did. But there is moment in Episode 497 when I think aggravated KS's injury so much more, since it was still healing at that time. But ofc KS wouldn't show it during that time cuz they were still filming, but I know (as someone who has had an ankle injury before not from car crash but from playing basketball) that any sudden and forceful movement from me, hurts too fcking much that I would literally have to sit down for like 2-3 hours before I can say to myself, I can walk from here to there without feeling any pain.

I'm really late but I don't understand why people think that recruiting new members is equal to replacing ex members? Like in a way, yes, to fill in the empty position they left behind but obviously not in terms of their role and identities. If only more people think that way, the hate situation JSM got wouldn't even happen. Honestly, I kinda hope they'll recruit a new member soon. I like to see a new and fresh face, and if there's a new member, there'll be new contents, and we can see how the chemistry between RM members and the new member develop. There'll be so much potential in developing ideas and stuff like that.

My another worried is that the remaining old members might be retired in a few years later. Maybe 1-3 years left, considering their physical conditions and age factor. If they at least can survive to stand still in this program about 1-3 years as mentioned, it would be the very best achievement for all members and staff.

I think that Jessi would be a great addition to RM. Her relationship with Yoo Jae-suk is great to watch. And if she gets haters, it won't bother her in the slightest, as she gets haters anyway. She is one tough lady who flips her finger at haters.

the problem is our expectation.. dont expect replacement to replace the one's left .. but if we're looking for a personalities to blend in well with other RM members,, there's a few names.. For example Lee Da Hee, Jo Se-ho, Ha Do-kwon, Lee Sang-yeob etc.. these are few names who might make our monday more cheerful

Using the word "Replace" would not help. As everyone is different, we can't bring back another person with the same abilities. As we all know that RM members are getting old, YSC and JSM would lead in the future, especially YSC I expect him to take a lead role after YJS. (I don't like JSM because she always asked the vote results when she got penalties or lost 🤧). In my opinion, the theme of running man should change into battling with young new members. As usual, there will be guests participating. But, the theme should be competing in two groups where one group will be the new young member as they are adapting the culture.
