Hi, i like the way you plant a seed of "oh that's a good idea" like turning a night dress in to a top. some people don't push them self's to think that way, so you are giving a genital push. love to you both. x
Lovely makes! Your refashioned dress looks great. I'm getting ready to make the Donny shirt. In the US, there's a company called Misfits that sells wonky fruit and veg. It's sad that foods are rejected because it's wonky. Hello to His Lordship and happy sewing, Michou.
Hi Laura Yes we had a program a few years back where we were being told that supermarkets will refusing wonky food. I think everybody was annoyed and couldn't understand why it was being refused. As a young mother I used to love getting the wonky fruit. It was a great talking point for the family. 👍😘
It makes my blood boil that UK supermarkets have for years rejected non-conforming fruit and vegetables, arrogantly saying it's not what the customer wants, even to the point of forcing farmers to plough their rejected produce into the ground, because the contracts forbade growers to sell to anyone else! When such tactics created a run of bad publicity, their marketing departments went into full swing and turned that around, hence the so-called 'wonky vegetables'. I've even seen them advertising 'ripen at home' green bananas! Don't get me started on fruit and vegetables unnecessary packaging!!!
Tee hee. 🤭 I remember watching a documentary a few years back about EU rules on what fruit shapes had to conform to before they could be sold. Like you it annoyed me and raised the regular comment from both of us...."The world's gone mad!"
I like the Donny but haven't made it yet. I think I would like it as a shorter shirt on me, or as the dress hack. I am not a fan of Camo, living in Comox, an Air Force Base town, in Canada. The only time I would wear camo, is if they were getting desperate, and started war training maneuvers with 70 year olds. I like your dress refashion. Looks more up to date. Cashmerette patterns are a Canadian company, and I do like how their patterns fit me. Suits my shape. Easy to sew. The Bob, Gaston and track outfit look nice Michou. White fuzzy jacket with collar, open, with roll neck T shirt in a bright colour, blue jeans and white sneakers. Even at my age I would wear that outfit through the fall and winter. It is so true, we are our DNA. So taking that into consideration, my close relations have all died of some kind of heart related failure later on in life, but there is no dementia running through the family. I am assuming since I have had 1 heart attack and a mild stroke, that will likely be my fate as well. Enjoyed your video. Stay well.
Ha ha! I understand your not liking camp then. I like it but once I've made it I think Hmmm!🤔 "Do I really like it that much!?" The girl who created Cashmerette patterns seems to be British but yes I believe she lives in Canada. I love their patterns too. Good to hear from you as always 😉😘
I'm always happy but his lordship has been through a tough time this year with his daughter and mother. His mother's situation...he's coming to terms with and his daughters situation....she's coming to terms with (family split) So he's a happier man and so that makes me happy too. 😉😘
I love the blue dress and matching blue top as the material really really flatters you. How many dresses do you make a year? I think they are all grand.
Hi Sheila I make a lot of dresses. I do like wearing them It makes me feel more dressed up than just going around with my jeans on. But this year I'm trying to make as many garments to use up quite a lot of my stash fabric. I figured I'd keep some, give some away to charity or sell others. 👍😘
Hi Michou, I love watching your videos and the great ideas you come up with. I don't normally comment, but would you please have your Dr check out your dark skin spots before adding any creams and potions to them. I know as we age we can all get those age spots, but please check that none of them could turn cancerous first. I don't mean to be dramatic, but my husband died of skin cancer and my sons get checked out every year, to make sure they are all good. I am sorry I sound so negative, but it's because I care, that I want to warn people. Once again thank you for your Great videos. xx
Aw thank you for your concern and yes I do appreciate and understand your concern. Some of his Lordships older family have experienced skin cancer so we know just how dangerous it can be. I have seen the doctor (a couple of years back to get them checked out and they were identified as liver spots. My dad used to have loads on the top of his head and back of his hands with spending so much time in the garden. The ones that I picked out in that video have been with me for at least. 15 years and have remained unchanged in that time do I'm pretty confident they're liver spots. But I am in total agreement with you and and kicking myself for not mentioning the fact that all blemishes should be checked out first before you go trying the cream out. Thanks ever do much for making the readers aware of checking their blemishes out. 👍😉😘

Thanks Alison. 👍
Oh you look so nice in the more fitted dresses. Plus your last couple of videos you've seemed happier then you've been in previous videos.
