Everybody needs a MVP Roman in there life. I would start a business with that guy in a heart beat, dude is smart, never complains, hard worker, great attitude 👍
I am so amazed. What you guys have achieved is incredible. At 26 years old I never had the confidence, knowledge and imagination to do what you are doing. Your father is a wonderful man to nurture, teach and give you and Cooper the self determination to accomplish any goal you set your minds to. I did not have a father so I clearly see how a loving caring father can affect his children. I will continue to pray for your safety and well being of you, your family and friends. Thank you so much for sharing. This is probably TMI but your show actually has me in tears sometimes knowing what a difference it makes having a caring father.
I am amazed, so much has changed. I stopped watching when the house was getting a lick of paint. Now you have a wife and children and a huge undertaking in progress. I miss your sisters channel and hope Sums okay and just doing life offline
Love the preventive measures on the farm, keeping damage to a minimum. Always thinking outside the box, which is a great mindset for life!!! Great to see Cooper again and watching the house progress. Blessings!!!
Hey guys! What a pleasant surprise today, it’s nice to see more of Cooper on your video. He makes a nice addition to the family dynamic of your show. We love the whole family, and please give us more of Cooper. Have a wonderful weekend
Always salvage your door hardware. If you're not going to use them others that are restoring their homes can use them. Restoration stores would be interested in that hardware.
@@jorgejiminez-rk1uu with everything he has going on, it makes absolutely no sense to invest the effort (time) into controlled demolition, saving stuff, transporting it, and selling. I've tried it on my house, and you can make a couple bucks here or there on old stuff but when you divide out all the time you invested in making that happen it's a big waste. And I don't have thousands of acres to manage and three businesses to run like he does.
I'm so happy you got that steel beam in quickly and safely. My butt was clenching a bit. That winch did such a great job, and you guys are all incredible!
haha Its so surprising how engaged I can get watching both the fenders and other tire/wheel work being done in the shop as well as 'finally' seeing the big beam finally finding its home. so cool thanks guys.
I promise this is my last comment today,- God bless Nick, good to see Cooper and Zach working on adding the fenders( they look great) thank you Zach for loaning the winch and helping lift the I- beam into the basement. What a wonderful team and how VERY blessed to have done what you did SAFELY! praise the Lord. As always- Roman is a good worker. Good job Cole 👏🏼
Super episode! That you speeded up the interest of the vedio, by showing your your Brothers pre harvest farm equipment repairs/maintenance,as well as, your home project. Once again, "thanks" for sharing!!! 🙂
It's painful to see some of the items you dump & burn.....those door handles are precious....well, the doors too. Too bad you didn't contact an antique dealer. Great to watch y'all at work.....amazing energy & talents.
Good to see the project is moving forward. Great to see Cooper articulate the repairs that he was doing on the semi trucks his knowledge is definitely grown and just a very short while it’s good to see until next time. Have a blessed day.
Roman, I’m with you - I like getting a great deal and saving money. Those blades were a great find. Roman and Cole you guys work well together and your friendship is obvious!
Yay for the Iron Workers of America 😊. We all knew why no talking. No one wanted to be a permanent part of the basement floor. It's great to have friends with knowledge so specific. 😊❤
Good job, I had to fact check you on a welded beam. Google says A welded joint is as strong as the base materials it's joining if the joint is designed properly and an experienced welder performs the work. Nice to have friends in the trades!😀
40:50 cole those posts should be steel. the beam needs to be pushed tight to the ceiling. and then non shrink grout should be placed between the concrete pillars and the beam ideally with a weld plate anchored into the top of the pillars.
Cole and Roman just to be on the safe side even more please put those other wooden posts up under each end of this first I beam BEFORE you put up the other long I beam that you will weld to it. BTW it was great to see Cooper again. He definitely has NOT forgotten how to record a video and he has not forgotten how to explain what he is doing when working on a Truck. Great Job Cooper!
the winch was a great idea you should repeat for the next beam it will be the safest way to handle that weight because the winch will bring it to its location. Im a smaller guy but move big stuff and the winch was brilliant..
Oh my, the farm is a busy place. Zach has some interesting tools. Cooper did a good job on why the new fenders are necessary. Then explaining how to do it. He and Zach work quite well with each other. Cooper hasn't talked this much since the beginning of the channel. Great job! You and Roman are quite the pair. You both have a great sense of humor. Roman seems to have encyclopedic knowledge of about building, but also works really well with electricity/wiring. Cole is like me, watch enough tutorials, and different ways of accomplishing the task, then we dive head first into whatever new thing you need to do, explaining, and then explaining how while doing your new goal for restoring the homestead. 😊❤ Great job all lf you!
Civil engineer here. Did some napkin math calculations. 14ft span, 12.3x6.5 I beam with a 0.44 flange (someone commented this earlier - not sure if this is accurate). Assume a 25 ton point load on the beam from that load above. This is conservative, and estimated based on the weight of a 3 story home and a safety factor. Just a fraction of the house weight will be transferred to that point. 14ft span steel beam. Max deflection of the beam is just under a half inch. If you want to guarantee much less deflection of the beam, consider adding a channel cap. This will significantly improve the moment of inertia of the beam and allowable unbraced length of the beam
Yeah someone had an idea of using flat plate and gussets instead of the 2x6. I think I’d be more comfortable knowing the posts on either end were the metal support columns with at least a 30,000 lb load limit.
I absolutely love keeping up with this renovation of your Great, Great Great Grandfather's $7,000.00 mansion but I have been in the hospital quite a bit this year, I have a hard time getting caught up with episode, my suggestion is to give each one a #, example # 4 or # 6 . Then everyone would be able to keep up on what they lasted watched! Thanks for considering my request! I'm in AZ!
Better to be safe. The other day when i was watching you i thought why not wench it up though the floor. You did a great job. Its great to have friends who are willing to help out, without their hands out. Also it was interesting to watch the mullet master work on the trucks, which I know nothing about. See you in a couple of days another great job.
I saw a plumber on li e, feature what you are doing with radon and drainage in your house!! He was impressed!! He loves plumbing while you said you didn't 😊
Yay Cooper!! so nice to see you!! Cole, I love the POV cam. great addition. your point of view is such an awesome view to have since you are the center of the whole project. and one more thing, that big beam went up like a dream!!
WOW! Best video ever!!!! Thanks for Cooper's stuff, man oh man, he is truely awesome! I was a big truck mechanic at his age, he has the gift! You all rock!!!!!!❤
I know this might not be the best idea , but I would cut aboot 4 to 6 pieces of flat plate , at least 3/8 in or bigger , that extend perpendicular on the top side of that beam, In order to support that floor joist group. Hanging over each side of the beam at 4 or 6 inches , then weld those to the top of the beam spaced from end to end evenly and then they can serve as pads and supports all together
Good job explaining the mechanical process, Cooper! Good to see you again! Cole, Roman and Nick, Oh my! What an amazing job figuring out such heavy details!

Such a waste to toss those beautiful doors and furniture. Some people have no sense of history.

great to see Cooper. love how much calmer (and quieter) he is than Cole,
Hello Cole, Roman and Cooper! Great job! Thanks for sharing! I love it!
How about Zack who provided muscle and equipment to set the beam. Without Zack it would still be on the ground outside.
I'm so happy you got that steel beam in quickly and safely. My butt was clenching a bit. That winch did such a great job, and you guys are all incredible!
