Director:
man those first 3 albums are pure gold.
Met them in person, shook their hands, haven't washed mine since.
Man, its been so long since a band has really impressed me! So glad these guys have come along!
I like the band and I love to see a broad spectrum of opinions, especially with regard to America as viewed from outside our borders.
Punk rock has an amazing and storied history of political thought and activism. I wouldn't trade that for anything.
I will also not tolerate fools like hpblow, being dickheads for the sake of being dickheads.

They've come a long LONG way.
Legendary.
who knew they would be so popular...i love the fact that they are fearless and lucid about what they choose to speak out upon.
just beautiful
We live in a representative republic. As such our government policies are a reflection of the will of the people...at least in world perception.

"These Colours Don't Run" and "A Calculated Use of Sound" are their currently released EPs.
It's amazing how far they've progressed.
holy shit! these dudes were like 16-18 when they made this video.. it's insane. like Kezia was released in 05 when they were like 18. and they made Kezia. crazy motherfuckin album. damn.
Yes sir, you are correct. Although, funny story. I am a massive ATDI fan and when they broke up I got so disappointed that I didn't bother following up to what Omar and Cedric went on to do next. And one day I just randomly came across a TMV song, and I couldn't tell if it's Cedric and Omar. Their playing style/sound and Cedric's vocals really transformed. You should really give ATDI a listen, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
Oh damn, I almost Thought they were gonna cover Iron Maiden for a Moment.
Me too lol I was like WHHHAAATTT!! LOL
Wow, reading the comments are really entertaining.
but i still can't believe how much they have change and improve over the years
Man watching this video, it was 2004 and I was 13, now it is 2011 and I am 20. Man I need to keep thinking youthful thoughts.
Man they've evolved...
it's amazing they've got lots of courage
nothing more then love for this.
i love how they're trying to spread a message and not just making music.
protest the hero
in terms of appearance and musical style and appearance they've all changed so much. it's pretty amazing to see.
Are you kidding?!?! They're incredible live! They don't miss a single note! Not to mention how amazing Rody's voice is!
this sounds like either "rage against the hero" or "protest the machine"
I have been following PTH since Kezia. I knew they had a political message before Kezia, but I didn't know it aligned to what I think about the Clintons these days!
Thanks. :)
I didn't even bring up the Norton bombsight or daylight bombing in the Rurh Valley.
that kid's a punk. :)

You've said it best, I just wish more people in the world felt the same way.
I love Arif's comments in the beginning. Man, Rody's voice has improved a lot since then.
The perfect song to satisfy late teen and early twenties rebel feelings!
"... it still needs to be discussed a little further and a little less generaly than a Green Day song" ; as someone who loves PTH and despises Green Day I aprove of this message.
Now I am anything but a leftist or liberal, I'm a libertarian. BUT, I totally agree with this song. This "World Police" stuff has got to end. It is deteriorating our economy, and isn't helping these countries. If you want it to end, vote Ron Paul in 2012. Thumbs up so people can see this.
This is the literal opposite of what they are protesting
very underrated band! their amazing!
wow i remeber when they used to play at the scout house for 15people in cambridge ontario. they made it! they deserve it!
hahahahaha watch at 1:36-1:37 when the guitarist walks on his tippy toes for the snare part then throws down a head bang thats sooo funny these guys are amazing love em all
Young Arif, Tim rocking a Schecter. Brilliant.
Hehehe. Watch out Mexico!

This is where it all started, they wouldnt sound like anything they do today if it was for this sick music!
listen to A Calculated Us Of Sound budddayyy
I like it when people sing, not shout. You can't be aggressively, passive aggressive.
Its not that they don't understand that USA isn't uniformed. Its that what your country is doing with its power is not right. One bad deed doesn't deserve another. Just because of 9/11 doesn't mean senseless murder is necesary. Think of all the innocent that have died from all of this, They hit the nail right on the head with this song.
They have improved so much. Much respect.
wow.... they have gotten so much better since this video.
wow thy are freaking young here. *sigh* I will love them forever
Now that my rant is done, Protest the Hero fuckin rocks, imho they are one of the best bands going today.
he has come a long way as a singer since this
oh my... this has changed my entire view of protest the hero
they are so much more awesome than i thought they were... im an american so yeah of course our foreign policy is fucked up!
COME PLAY AT PEARL STREET IN BOULDER, CO PROTEST THE HERO! YOULL DRAW A CROWD OF 5,000 I GUARANTEE- everyones a hippie!
His voice(Rody Walker) has now been further developed. It's been nicely seasoned now you could say. It merges perfectly with the music now.
@TheConnordt
because theres more than a few differences between the way things work now, and they way they did more than a hundred years ago
Dude the whole reason why this song is so kickass, is because they were able to converge political references into their lyrics--which are already in itself amazing--and maintain their beliefs as well as influence others. They reveal a lot of the governments flaws that people take lightly or slip under their noses...which by the way...is very important! :)
Every type of music is good, its just about finding what you like, and if you'll reread damoksters comment, he never said it was bad, just suggesting you listen instead of metal
It's pretty cool what they did there, but I gotta say... thank god Rody worked on his singing since then.
these guys are awesome
only PTH the hero can have such a meaning behind such a badass song.
1:24 - 1:40 = sickest stage moves ever
loving that van man thats how bands always gotta travel haha
love protest amazing live nuts stage presence and all that
i agree with rody. PTH is just music. ill words ill words. they are sick no matter wat the genre
Right i've got Kezia and Fortress whats the other one im missing? i only heard Protest last month and i can honestly say that i have not stopped listening to them :D
Im surprised so many people havent heard this album -_-
I like it! Protest the hero have always been great...shame on you if you've only listened to their new stuff
Mann they remind me of At the Drive-In so much..Especially in this video. Arif looks like Cedric and Omar did back in the ATDI days..
wow his voice has improved tremendously, amazing video
I love that spoken word part and how he screams STATE
This is way better than their new stuff.
u wot
Sam
???
Poeticriffraff er h,how is it better than any of the new albums?!
Sam You wan't me to formulate a mathematical equation? I don't like protest the hero. But this song was nice.
+Poeticriffraff er There's no better music than other bla bla bla, sure you've heard of it.
I get where they are coming from, this video is old, but, it still holds a valid point. And as a citizen of the United States of America I respect opinions. If it were up to me we'd all rock out. I'm not a fucking headless duck sitting over here, the only reason why we are at war is for money. As much as we say we are a "democractic" nation, ha, what am I saying everyone knows America lies.....
they accually know alot, they just don't really show how much they know here. we know way more about you than you know about us.
you guys rocked at Warped Tour - KANSAS!
They have come a long way.
protest the hero= canada
greenday=america
protest the hereo > greenday
i live in new york nuff said
Free fucking concert by PROTEST THE MUTHER FUCKING HERO!..... Had I known of them then, I would have followed them around headbanging...
Still my favorite Protest the Hero music video. Heretics and Killers too.
This is what music is all about. Getting a message out.
DAMN i wished i had knew about this back then...would of been nice to seen them there
@Kenster1025 The title on the CD cover says "These Colours Don't Run."
Never noticed how simple his drum kit is...
i heart you, ARIF!!!
@Andyiron777 There's a difference between self-preservation, defending yourself and other people, and retaliation and revenge. We didn't go to war with Hitler to defend the Jews being oppressed and killed, we went to war because we were attacked, and we wanted revenge. We haven't gone to war for a legitimate reason since the Revolution.
Bleh, Rody singing through his nose...
Those are their only full-length albums. They've got two EPs.
I always laugh at the business man running when i watch this video.
PWNED!!!!!! BlankTV FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They just dip out all casually, dudes are fucking gods.
I think you might want to turn on the volume because you clearly didn't hear the lyrics
fuck what a change 4 years makes. Tim's beard especially.
Need to change the title. "These Colours Don't Run."
That spelling is very important.
wow..they developed so much as a band since then
man im from US and all i gots to say is that we cant talk shit about Canada cause were in the worst shape ever...our economy is horrible
i wish i could just leave to canada for about a year. Canada ROX! i just say protest The Hero Oct.22 in Atlanta GA
When I said you're an idiot, that was just a guess. But you are proving me right beyond a shadow of a doubt.

I take it you no longer care to address the US role in WWII?
wow this is amazing
Awesome song. They don't have one bad song. How old are they on this video?
love his kit in this video. haha
i'm glad protest hasn't really changed their style, they've only gotten better from this to Fortress
They are the best
That is the actual song to anyone that doesnt realise doubed over the live show.
Woah, woah, you like their new stuff better?
This song is like my favorite song by them :') They are a bunch of great guys with great ideas.
In my opinion "A Calculated Use of Sound" and "Kezia" are a loooooot better than 'Fortress", but I guess we have our own opinions.
But this song is good! It's fun and serious at the same time without being a boring dragged on song. The chorus itself is very memorable to lots of people, it's catchy. Plus, I love when bands express their ideas in songs.
I haven't heard much at the drive in, but when I first heard the band I thought they sounded like Mars Volta, which, correct me if I'm wrong, came from ATDI.
@paradoarify This is exactly what we need, more people like trying to start an argument, insulting others opinions.
AmeriCo Vespucci, with a C, was Italian, and he came with Cristopher Colombus to LATIN America. They named the WHOLE continent in honor to him, not just the damn country. I bet you failed History.
thanks a lot man where can i get ahold of it wothout a Debit/credit card? (i live in scotland and im the only person to hear of PTH arond here) please tell me i can get a Delivery from "CA" i now love PTH :D:D:D i realised what the Lyrics to the whole "KEZIA" ALBUM MEANT touching stuff s'pecially when your high C:
"a little less generally than a Green Day song"
^^^^^^^
THIS!!!
pth is awesome. i love them all
is there any footage of this without the studio version played over top?
I love Protest The Hero, not thing song in particular though. The video is great though!!
They said they hated American foreign policy.
But a lot of people do hate American, or at least dislike them. And it is Americans that allow Bush to rule and elected him.
I love it.
such a good band, prefer his voice on the newer stuff though
Sick song 👏👌👍🇨🇦
When was this 2003? Damn he was mad young!
US Government: Oh no.. My number one enemy, PTH. What shall I do?
Call the Americans out? Americans are constantly protesting the government. I have an idea, lets be general about punk bands...
