Materials:
3 pieces of 21 gauge square dead-soft copper wire, 10 inches long each
24 gauge half-round wire(no need to measure and pre cut, just keep it on the spool and use as needed)
1 cabochon, mine is an oval Grey Moonstone that is 21mm wide

Wonderful tutorial, thank you for sharing this orientation. I have some stones (like labradorite that the flash shows in certain ways) that I'd like to have shown horizontally vs vertically, so this is perfect. It's also not overly frilly, which I personally prefer - thank you again. I love all your work!

Lol :) I dropped it and my floors are tile so they are pretty solid so the plastic spool broke. At least it wasn't a stone, I've broken many stones this way
Can you tell me exactly how much wire , softness, and gauge that you order from rio grande. Do they have a cheap silver color also? Can you give me that link too? I'm having issues finding exactly what I need from their website ( it keeps recommend high priced silver... I just want " cheap wire in copper, and silver colors, and the hardness and gauge you buy. And the size spool. I don't have alot of money, but want to invest in wire. Half round , and square. Also can you recommend where to get good cabachons ? Reasonably priced, ( mabe a half moon ) and the good very basic tools to order? Thank you. You have the best tutorials .I work at a senior living community, bike week in Daytona beach is coming up, , in March, I want to make things to sell, to buy my senior residents basic needs , sports bras, wash rags, etc. I just transferred from a janitor to nurse assistant I make more money now. I want to help the ones with out family to have the things they need. Thank you for your tutorials . I am very greatful.
I've been working with round Walmart wire and take apart thrift store necklaces, and have cheap Walmart tools, I feel I'm ready to upgrade. Thanks
I order my copper in 1lb spools, the softness I almost always use is dead-soft. The gauge depends on which tutorial you are wanting to follow, different designs require different gauges. I state the exact wires needed in each tutorial. For silver wire, I use sterling silver, but a cheaper alternative would be silver-filled wire, it is not solid silver but had a coating of silver on it. For stones, Etsy is great, I find lots of good stones there.
