Hermansson rebuilt Mesa Single Rectifier

- I've rebuilt both channels of this amp, the distortion channel has the Hermansson 4 gain stages circuit + my tightness control. The clean channel is more open-sounding and extra crispy on the top.
Both channels have a lot more distortion available, lower noise floor, better dynamic response, and a more musical EQ.
Guitar straight into the amp, the 2x12 cab is loaded with V30.

Wow, Henric this is just magic🎉❤. The amp is kinda Jackyl and Hyde. Both Beauty and Beast. Its got incredible dynamic range. As do all your amps🥳🎊

That sounds really good! As much as I like my Tremoverb as it is, I think you could make it better. More controlled and articulate. I just wouldn't want it to lose its character completely.

@@LordFingers1 I am a drummer and wannabe guitarist, but I know a good sound, and I needed nowhere else where to find it. Saved up for months on end and got them. Makes me also practice that much harder. Besides, if you get a marshall modded by Henric, I found out that they work amazingly well with any pedal. They were the best investment.
@@germanomosconi392 yes, absolutely killer amps. I've been trying to find one of his PA amps for years. But, the 5 gain stage Marshall builds are so bad ass also! I'm not even a Mesa fan, but his Mesa mods are crushing. The dude is a master at building amps, new mods, clever tone shaping options, etc.
@@LordFingers1 agreed! I love the Marshall probably even more than the mesa, but the recto has endless shaping possibilities. Both are worth having ❤️

Hey Mate, Yea I just used a can of black Plasti Dip. $10 solution instead of getting a $250 grill from Mesa
@@danielholden01did the plastidip go on fairly even? I am considering doing this to my single before I send it to hermansson.
@@jonathankidd7921 Hey mate, obviously you have to get painters tape and take out the amp first. In regards to the plastidip I would recommend doing small light passes don't just hold the spray down and go nuts. Remember If you don't like the way it came out it come of so easily and you can just start again

Remarkable...no feedback ....I have a MKV 25 head and with that level of gain, volume and sitting so close to rig that amp would be SqUeeLing like a pig!!
