You know I just realized Deathstroke has never fought a blood lusted or angry Batman before.
To be fair he’s beaten Batman twice.

Where there brains just wire up differently and function like machines under intense stress instead of their more conscious drives like emotion understanding they just do
A smaller version of it is when you do various things without realizing ur doing them and you do them without errror or fault blood lusted is like that for combat
Blood lust and anger are very closely tied but not the same thing Bloodlust requires drive .. Anger requires passion
You can be passionate which leads to drive but your drive is more core to the battle than anger..Anger is temporary there is a trigger for it where drive stems of need and the idea that there is no other way leading to hyper focus and performance
In martial arts tournaments when someone kills an opponent sometimes its from overwhelming force but pure efficiency and bloodlust where they forget to hold back on the training and go for the most optimal attacks leading to death

Pre-2000's Deathstroke was the single combatant in the DCU that could take Batman in straight hand-to-hand (an homage to Captain America in that Slade was a super soldier produced by Nam instead of WWII). Then they maxed him out to being able to take on the Justice League by himself. Now it seems to have swung back the other way.

Pre-2000's Deathstroke freely admitted he probably couldn't take Batman in a straight fight. The two have always been fairly evenly matched despite Deathstroke's many upgrades over the years.

Slade has healing ability. I assume they forgot to show the part where batman shot darts or arrows to slade to stop his healing. Wonder if the comic shows it
I couldn't find that part! The fight starts in Batman (2016) #89 and then continues in Secret Files #3, but there's a break in the action where I assume he hit him with the darts, but it isn't show weirdly.
I wonder why it looked like he had arrows in his chest.

If Batman can survive in space with no space suit, survive re-entry with no additional protection from his suit and survive hitting the ground with no broken bones after said Re-entry, then beating Slade is another lazy Sunday afternoon to him.

In the old days, Slade could beat the shit out of Bruce twice in one issue, make sport of 7 JL members simultaneously and even outmaneuver Superman (temporarily). The nerf stick they've hit him with over the years has not been pretty.

Slade has always acknowledged that Batman is a better fighter than him, he just knows he has better physicals. People keep saying this is like Batman fighting Captain America, but it isn't Slade actually does have superhuman physicals Captain America does not 👑
Not really, the first time when Deathstroke couldn't defeat Batman and the battle went to a draw was when Dick Grayson was Batman, before that Bruce had lost every one of their fights. Grayson is inferior to Bruce in physical strength.

@@DArtmanreignz I'm sure this is the battle where Deadshot and Deathstroke fought each other for days, which gave Batman the advantage and the opportunity to win. In Post-Crisis era Batman never won a fight against Slade (unless Deathstroke was nerfed or not focused on fighting him).
Considering that Batman stabbed Deathsroke in the already missing eye and not in his last remaining one...he's a pretty nice guy, even in combat.

I know this is a short fight, but I think people are believing Batman won easily. I’m this short fight both damaged each other quite a lot, it just took one critical strike for either of them to end it.

@@andsonrebello2018 kiddo batman is the EMBODIMENT of a supersoldier lmao he isn’t as strong as deathstroke but there is a reason batman is hands down the most feared hero, batman has literally mastered every single martial arts and has in the past benchpressed 2 tons in the comics so already superhuman, he has more skill than just about anyone in the dc universe and has handed at one point or another every justice leaguer or earth villain a defeat. Batman holds ALOT back and while yeah deathstroke’s regeneration is op, it has limits and batman has a tendency to EASILY exploit said weaknesses, deathstroke is incredible and one or my favorite characters of all time but he loses 7/10 times to a prepared batman

well it was later revealed that slade was holding back the entire time as part of a plan. This run ends with deathstroke stabbing batsy in the leg and leaving.

It's just pure plot armour. Realistically Batman couldn't afford to get caught clean on the jaw even a single time. Any damage Bats even does would be healed in seconds anyway. Batman should be completely outmatched

This fight is honestly too close to call. People keep thinking Batman is "just a normal human" but DC has established time and again that Bruce has trained his body and mind to faar beyond all human limitations. Dude has held up multiple tonns of weight several times, can bench press 3000 lbs for entire sets, can chop down trees with single kicks, bend steel bars with bare hands without any effort, dodge rapid gunfire at point blank AFTER they have already been fired, react and counter within a milisecond as stated by Slade himself. And none of this is new, he has been performing such feats since the 60s. Bruce has always been on super-soldier levels.

@@SPDRM Deathstroke can think faster than an average human. Not someone who has trained and honed his reactions and reflexes to beyond human limitations and is a perfect polymath. And like I said, slightly superior raw strength can very well be overcome by superior skill. It's like if a stronger military soldier went up against Mike Tyson. He can be bigger and stronger than Tyson, but that doesn't gurantee his win as Tyson is still much more trained and skilled.
@@SPDRM Slade only had military training, Bruce had mastered all training from the greatest assassins in the world. And Slade was never a peak human before that. Only after receiving military enhancements could he utilize 90% of his brain. A peak human can utilize 100% of their brain. You telling me his brain got nerfed after the experiment? Slade was a skilled soldier, not a peak human master assassin.

Bruce Wayne should never beat Slade in melee. Period. Slade is faster, stronger, more durable, and has greater endurance. Batman has a edge in skill which might make up for Slade’s strength edge or speed or durability or endurance but not ALL of them by a long shot. Their gear is a wash.

Unpopular opinion: this should almost never happen. In this issue Batman took precautions and shot Slade to stop his healing and slow him down which is how he gets the cheap shot that wins the fight. So I'll let this one go. But on average Slade should mop the floor with Batman. He's several times stronger than Bruce, significantly fasted with better reaction speeds, just as skilled a fighter, and has a faster brain and is trained to use it to think ahead (so basically Captain America.)
Every punch he gives to the chin on Batman is a broken jaw, missing teeth, and a concussion. Batmans tech and gadgets are his only hope. The minute it turns into a fist fight Slade has every advantage and not a small one. People of even remotely similar skill but one is much faster and stronger and just as smart in a fight... its over. But... Batman has the strongest power of all, he's popular.

You set rules and stick to them, it's writing 101. If you have to nerf a character to make your story you've failed as a writer.

One: You can't even provide a single actual feat of Slade being vastly superior.
Two: Batman has CONSISTENTLY shown that he has trained his body and mind to well beyond all human limitations. Dude can bench press 3000 lbs for entire sets. Drag a whole WW2 plane through an entire forest, has held up multiple tonns of weight several times. Can dodge rapid gunfire at point blank AFTER they have already been fired. Can react and counter within a millisecond as confirmed by Slade himself. Punches almost as hard as a superhuman as again confirmed by Slade himself. Has held up portion of an entire roof of a collapsed building. Is physically equal to Captain America as confirmed in their canon crossover.
Third: He is "Peak Human PERFECTION" which is well above every other peak human, the same as Cap.
Fourth: You people simply can't provide a single feat for Slade being "vAsTlY sUpEriOr" and only cling to the baseless talking point of "hE iS eNhAnCeD". Chemical enhancements aren't the only way to reach super-soldier levels in comics. Batman, Richard Dragon, Shang-Chi, Cassandra Cain, are all great examples of that.
Fifth: The difference in raw physicals between Slade and Bruce is minimal. It can very well be filled up through superior skill.

Batman would realistically be less skilled than a super soldier that could practically train unlimited times in a day and have 0 recovery time.
