@@dafuuq9766 A lot of eu4 tutorials are at least 50% useless. There's simply way too much RNG for them to be precise. Just take some notes and adapt them
Will try oirat campaign, since the only countries I have done in the east are ashikaga and ouchi. But now I will try the horde type nations and see how far I can go. Thank out very much for the easy understandable tutorial of the beginning game for many nations so far.
One other thing you could do is hostile trading on one of the Chinese nodes and then a spy master, and then build a network on Ming. This makes them super mad and more likely to attack if you get caught (less waiting if you go over force limit like me) but main benefit is getting the + siege percentage on them which helps a lot against that crucial siege if your racing them
The video is very interresting for me because I almost never play in this area of the world. I never knew that you could capture ming's leader. Great video!!
Every time I try this opening, Ming declares on me when I have low manpower and struggle to get the emperor army. I think the Ming war is a better opener. There is plenty of time for Chaga and Uzbek later when you have a tech advantage. Also delaying the Ming war, means they might have higher tech than you which makes it harder.
@@mr.shepherdspie7958 just ally someone, Korchin is a prime choice as you can use them in the Ming War. With allies you are far less likely to be attacked
Tried this guide and it worked like a charm for the opening moves. I have been bouncing back and forth between Ming, Manchuria, India, and the western nomads, just declaring war as fast as my OE goes down. Razing pays for the expansion. Went Humanist Offensive for the first 2 groups to get the leaders pips, 20% siege, and the -15 years separatism plus the unrest reduction. There are no rebels and my leaders are insane with a constant 70 or better army tradition. It is 1520 and I own Manchuria, Northern China, Tibet, Chagatai, Korea, half of Japan, and expanding into India and Uzbek. While running a positive monthly income. The secret is to raze then trade company everything you can. All of Manchuria, Korea, coastal China, the Yellow River, Burma, India, etc is all TC capable.
14:25 one culture stacks stacks with banners, religious - influence policy. I managed to change primary culture early to be able to form Mughals after collect the amazing bonuses of the oirat mission tree.
@ludi et historia what should the Oirat army composition be? I have never played a Calvary horde before and I am unsure how it should look and once cannon tech is discovered.

How many times have you tried this start? Because your percentages are WAY off. Being rivalled by both Chagatai and Uzbek is more like 75%, and the two allying (whether you rival them or not) is more like 90%. Makes this start MUCH more difficult. Seems like you got very lucky in this start.
I tried the oirats start about 7 times for making teh video, and before that I have 3 world conquests done as the oirats, so based it off of that, but then again, it is an RNG game and you never know what kind of luck you can have...
@@LudietHistoria I just feel that with 1.30, it's become much more difficult to pick on Chagatai early. I've tried about a dozen times, and only twice did they not ally Uzbek. And one of those two, they allied the Timurids haha
Cool, I didn't think to do war with Chagatai first I went right for Ming war in 1444, and Chagatai jumped me bad. I won both wars but was super crippled and didn't save my mission click to recover horde unity later. I'll try for your strategy now.
Is there a guide on how to play Semien, they’re the only jewish nation on the game, I never found one. I know the start should be really hard, but maybe is duable
I would combine the espionage idea with aristocratic idea for boosting the cavalry combat ability even though not strong as poland but its mongol empire
I don’t know if this has been fixed or not but I’ve had huge issues finding their emperor. Whenever I’ve tag switched to them, I’ve found that they don’t even have him assigned to an army, despite him being a general!
Focus on Uzbek and peace em out just send ur 17k stack to carpet siege + take their capital uzbek and use a merc stack and mongolia(on defensive) defend ur territory. Once u can peace out uzbek and take some money chagatai solo shouldnt be hard.
Don't even worry about Uzbek and Chagatai, you don't need those provinces to win the first war(s). You also can just take grassland provinces from jurchen minors later and not dev that expensive desert province. Just build to force limit, build spy network on ming and wait for them to attack you, or just go way over limit and declare on them and prioritize sieging Beijing. Although whenever I attack them I end up with almost no manpower after so its kinda meh. You can also set Mongolia to supportive and objective on Beijing with a merc group and then use your stack to hunt their troops before you win the Siege. Personally I find the Mongolia start easier and less RNG since sometimes Mings general runs around like a goof or yours dies before you can get the siege.
I don't even bother with Chagatai til later on. Beat down Ming at the beginning (decimate their manpower as much as you can), and peace out taking Beijing + other northern provinces, and as much money as you can. Raze and core the provinces, and once that's done, break truce and declare war on Ming again. You'll get a STAB hit but the only nations that'll get an AE hit is Korea and Ming since they're the only Confucian countries. Take more provinces and max money again. Repeat until Wu + Yue forms then stop truce breaking otherwise you'll get a coalition against you. Meanwhile you should've annexed Mongolia and slowly started taking the Jurchen lands. Each peace out will next you thousands of ducats to provide you money for a while. You'll just have to deal with the inflation.
What about the inflation from all the ming money? After my first war in wich i took max money (also had to take some loans in the process) i was at 30% inflation...
I have played this game following your instructions on Ironman over and over and can't seem to make it work. 9 times out of 10 Chagatai allies with Uzbek and I have to reload. Then once I get through the war with Chagatai, Ming attacks but the armies congeal and I can't single out the army with the emperor. Am I doing something wrong?
@@LudietHistoria If I attack Ming first my allies won't come in. In your video, the forces split up to siege your allies and that's how you find the emperor all on his own. Should I get allies, not attack Chatagai at all, and wait for the Ming event to fire?
I'm afraid it's even easier than this; Why bother trying to clamour for allies for the eventual attack from Ming when you can just submit to Ming and become a Tributary? Life as a Ming Tributary is pretty sweet. They ask very little from you, you can gobble up other tributaries at will, Ming will crush your rebels for you, and you don't have to worry about Uzbek, Chagatai, or the Timurids attacking you. You can blob across central Asia with impunity and cancel tributary status when you are big enough to trigger the Unguarded Nomadic Frontier disaster.
I do not know if i could agree with exploration ideas because you can just conquer land that other people colonize so you can focus more on pax mongolica.
I tried this, and while I was able to deal with Chagatai allied to Nogai, what I could not deal with was Ming's Emperor dying in 1448. No Emperor means no event, meaning that the fight against the Ming was completely screwed.
I must have done something wrong? I allied Korchin and joined their defensive war. Once I had 85% warscore against Ming, Korchin peaced them, and I got nothing. War over. :( Really great guide though!
Yeah don't join Korchin's defensive war...start your own war against Ming, you could also just not ally them if you're worried about Ming attacking them. You can 1v1 Ming easily
It's not possible unfortunately :( But even if it was, yarkand vassal wouldn't be so good since you want direct control of the gold mine. Raze the provinces for mana points and less overextension. I know they're your own culture but you can dev up later, and should anyway to get institutions!
The horde playstyle is to never stop warring. You raze everything because it gives you monarch points AND makes coring the provinces cheaper as they have less dev. You'd like higher dev provinces if you plan to build an economy but as a horde you just kill everybody and take their money.
i think you where to lucky or maybe is just that oirat was human controlled but when i have played in that area of asia i think oirat is attacked in 1 year but its was real good that war agains ming their army is wiped easely when the have the nomadic frontier event

Picking Expansion ideas would be better, so you can stop russia and colonize lands. And it will be better to take exploration ideas after. Oirant already has core creation reduction and they can raze for extra points.

for me whenever I declare on Ming and start beating them up, Chagatai declares and I'm basically screwed.

If chagatai allies uzbek just focus on ubek a bit to white peace them. If this is too hard then attack ming first
