First time hearing of this game and you guys know how to do playthrough right. I love it. You made it seem like a blast, I'll be looking to get ahold of a copy; even if it's not deluxified I know I'll enjoy this game. Props to you all gentlemen.
I'm so happy you made this video. Made me remember all that much better why I love Ra, why it's in my top 100 every year, and why I should reward myself with a fresh new blinged out version of this fantastic game for my birthday. Found an available copy coming to one of the copies over here, so yay!
The person who taught me Ra said you could weave Ra into a sentence when calling a bid, so I always called it phrases like "this is gonna be a ROUgh bid" :)

RA demands it, thumb given. Very good stream. I cant wait for my super deluxe version. So many improvements over the previous version.
I have the retail edition, it is very nice. This one maybye even better but the ordinary one sure is nice :) EDIT: Played it with two players that never tried it yesterday, instant hit (one want to play it again next time). Nice player boards was helpful for new players.
There are games for which I've regretted getting the deluxe components (i.e. the animal meeples in the deluxe Habitats are too fiddly for how I play games), but I've never regretted my Pharaoh's edition copy of Ra. It consistently comes with me to game nights and often gets pulled out as something to finish off the night with when we've got an hour to spare.
Not that it is a big deal, given the nature of Ra, but you probably shouldn't be labeling this video as "Teaching" given that you explicitly did not teach the game.
Fair point. Two notes, however: 1) If you watch the gameplay for 5 minutes you will pick up how to play. 2) We previously taught the game here: th-cam.com/users/livef4_hH9n3HOs?feature=share
Martin's love of this game is infectious!
The fact there are no Knizia games on BGG top 100 shows how little we should care about ratings. Great play!
Indeed. If oner lieks auction games htough it is more like his list for sure?

The only thing I could say it is... you guys are amazing playing together, I hope your friendship lasts fo'éva!!!
Great game! Really happy with my copy and my group loved it.
Love this game! Got my deluxe edition last week! Would love to watch another one

Can't wait to get mine played. I need to practice for the World Series of Board Gaming
I have this version. I, too, felt it needed four lines for the flood. Other than that, man this is beautiful! Thanks for the playthrough!
Always wanted to play this - sounds like the Pharoah Edition is worth it.
Ooooh! This is a chunky version! And Edward wanting the civ tile but getting the destruction one... 🤣

Can’t believe none of you dressed up for the Ra Party :(
Thanks for the play through. Enjoyed it! Still waiting for my Pharaoh pledge to come in.
Is it me or did this stream did not include the teach?
You know what this reminds me of? "Deal or no deal".
Why players keep drawing tiles when they have all the disks facedown? Are the rules different in this version?

Ok I watch some videos and love the content but can anyone explain the "glory to rome" bit to me. I just don't get it :P

Ra!
Not exactly heavy cardboard material is it?
Have you tried to lift this edition of Ra yet?
@@NormalTheBand lol you got me
Not much cardboard is there?? 😂 I just received my copy and absolutely love the production.
Maybe don't put teaching in the title if you state you're not bothering to teach it within the first few minutes
