Sir we heard that Assam rifles have been taking help from kuki millitants to remove meitei insurgency from Manipur during early 2000.. Under the soo agreement there is a mutual understanding between Assam rifles and kuki millitants it seems. I am from Assam and I am serving in ministry of defence.There is a dark history of Assam Rifle in Manipur. As far as I know the Assam Rifle isn't well known in Manipur. It's so true that Indian Army now being the most professional and civilized force ,they were before. But the Assam Rifle is still ill-known for their treatment with the indigenous meitei people. The kuki militants bases are not far away from the Assam Rifle base and they move freely. The Assam Rifle attacks local people and kill them to get award or promotion. So The Assam Rifle should make itself civilized and professional.This is my case study from different people from Manipur including Meitei hindus or Meitei Muslim community.

My papa Late Col Tuhin Kumar Paul was also in the Assam Rifles. He was posted in (16th Assam Rifles) in Mokokchung, Nagaland (2002 - 2003) and (35th Assam Rifles) in Tamenglong, Manipur (2003 -2005). He was posted for around 3 years.
As a border guarding force, no illegal immigrants are restricted, no poppy cultivation restricted. As a counter insurgency force they countered kukis while kuki started ethnic cleansing first time at churacnanpur on 3rd may. Being a central force, they helped kuki in killing villagers and vandalising 30 houses by blocking state police 😂
AR does great service to the society overall. No question on that. All need to appreciate for this. The problem starts when they don't act against the kuki millitants, illegal migrants. Is it because they want to be safe by doing nothing against the such perpetrators? My papa Late Col Tuhin Kumar Paul was also in the Assam Rifles. He was posted in (16th Assam Rifles) in Mokokchung, Nagaland (2002 - 2003) and (35th Assam Rifles) in Tamenglong, Manipur (2003 -2005). He was posted for around 3 years.

AR does great service to the society overall. No question on that. All need to appreciate for this. The problem starts when they don't act against the kuki millitants, illegal migrants. Is it because they want to be safe by doing nothing against the such perpetrators? It seems they r happy with SoO b'cause they don't hv to fight with militants which is not easy rather they only want to focus on the good will services to the society? If so there should be separate central forces to focus only on tackling the millitants impartially.
