Everyone tries to redefine role . But the ascendancy of para military over Army needs to be checked. Most Army officers qualify by all India exam but other ranks who are conferred Asst Comdt claim to be equal to substantive captain on the date of appointment by Board. This is improper stakeholdership and unhealthy.
Second is orgs like BSF having monopoly on cross points that control smuggling etc which is a design fault and should be unacceptable. Contraband ka incentive should be given like customs . Let us not measure our forces with a different scale

Why you should not discuss about duel command problem.. Assam Rifles jawan bhut taklif mei hy duel command se, Assam Rifles ka future sochne wala koi nahi hy sab ka sab apna tym nikalne k liye ata hy, junior rank officers se lekar DG tak. Corrupted Army office. Mera ek question hy DG shaab se hy, Agar Assam rifles Border guarding force aur part Of CAPF hy toh Army officer kyun command kar rai, iss hisaab se toh IPS officers hona chayea. Army officers comand kar k army rules, army duty karta hy aur CAPF bolke introduce karata hy, yeh kaha ka insaaf hy.

Assam rifle might be good in other places.. But in Manipur they are corrupt to the core and some were caught peddling drugs.. They need to be rotated or else their respect will be doomed..
