@@mrn.w.a.6344 no, a lot of songs take time to get used to, especially for someone like me. Very rarely do I enjoy a song on first listen. Also, it didn’t take 20 plays as by that point I’d drop the song.

I think the hook was deliberate for the pre-release purpose. I also was not sure on the first listen but it did grow on me after a few more listens. Lets be real, the hook is for tik-tok and youtube shorts & live concerts. But getting past that the song is great. Looking forward to the full album later this year.

Song itself is good. Insanely talented each of them. Still think only one other group in their gen has a rap line that is on par with them - Asa & Ruka & Ahyeon are simply special. BUT I do wish they had let that opening beat, the one in the first 30-40 seconds breathe more. I didn’t really care for the disco-ish turn but I know a lot like that so I’m happy for those that vibe with it. But man, that opening beat…would love to see a remix where it is on display more.
@@Official-OpenAI I do and trust me, IVE and BAEMON are different, especially when it came to the rap sections, I love both groups and Rei but did Rei rap like Asa in I Am? No, no she didn't
The rap line has so much potential but they need better writers.. So many things rhyme with "C'est la vide" and they chose the alphabet.. Seems like it would be a good song live
It's their pre-release for their full album coming in the Fall that's why it felt like it was hinting at something more at the end.
Babymonster is gonna have a very good release and music video presentation that captures every single detail of the choreography and Vocals
Ruka's rap has a really good flow🔥🔥
It gets better with more listens imo

Respect, it took me a few listens to grown on me. It's a grower for sure.
"401" probably related to 04/01/2024, debut date for OT7. I know the debut date is argued but 4/1 is the date that YG is going with.
and 11/27/2023 is the actual debut date 4/01 is ahyeons debut in the group

Guys, we need to have a talk about YG groups not rhyming last line in their raps
But in this song Ahyeon did it in her rap part
But they did
It's a grower for sure.. the slow part was not needed..
I loved it so
I know what they’re going for but the song feels outdated to me. Loved Ada’s rap part though
YG producers were like "we gotta get away from the Blackpink image, SO LETS DO IVE!"
The girls did good though.

Honestly the hook was really bad, ruined the song. Everything else was perfect.

I think the hook is the best one they have done. Batter up and sheesh are mostly instrumental hooks. This one they are singing which I prefer.
