Actually we had Neve in episode 1, so this is the second companion

Neve was just a cameo, her episode will be the last one in 17/10

I truly wish this was an animated show. I feel like it would be so much more compelling to actually see the environments they are in. I’m hoping we get that in the future either by official means or maybe a fan will animate them. (Not to say that this isn’t compelling mind you)

I love this coverage of the EU of DA -- please keep this up, maybe novels or the animated show at some point?

4:24 so far I don't like Nadia character. She rush without planning and do thigs without thinking about consequences.

Assuming that they are in the Hinterlands, could the language be something related to the Avaar/Alamari?

I wondered if they actually meant THE Fereldan Hinterlands, but I doubt they would use the generic meaning of hinterlands like this in Dragon Age, they know everyone would just think of The Hinterlands, it's just that Nadia is covering A LOT of ground around Thedas without eluvians. Nadia's quest would probably be really long (in universe), maybe years, which is very tragic.

But also it's interesting because the first mention of the Hinterlands in Vows and Vengeance came from Olen, a person from Tevinter, while talking to Nadia, another Tevinter in Minrathous, so apparently people in all of Thedas don't really use the generic meaning and everyone even from the biggest city in the world all the way nord know of a farming region in the middle of nowhere in Ferelden. I think the Hinterlands became so (in)famous and a meme that they keep getting name dropped every now and then, like that line about going to make cheese in the Hinterlands in Absolution.

@@user-ue4cp3yh2x Maybe a potential in universe explanation could be that they know of it because of everything that happened at Redcliffe during the 5th Blight? Also the mage quest in Inquisition. So even if it is a nowhere farming place, maybe it’s proximity to Redcliffe is what did it?

@@akatsuki3399 That could justify that, only that for foreigners probably they would be famous as events happening simply in Ferelden, probably, without specifics. But it could be yes

I am swedish! and the words are to me mostly jibberish. But if I do try a translation of the words onscreen. Now is, Lighthouse? gayroom. Grar is gibberish up coming. The last two words mean nothing. The entire sentance is very much jibberish to my ears. But something is coming and there is a lighthouse? or a beacon.

Ah nice, thank you for the input! Yeah, I expected as much 😅 I wonder if this was made specifically for the podcast or if we're looking at a complete new in lore language here. Would be cool if we see more of it in Veilguard, but I kinda doubt it
