A word that’s often bandied about unjustifiably - sublime. Not unjustified now. I was lucky enough to see JR in the humblest of places, Appleton Village Hall when he was living in these parts. He gave a sublime performance that night. Thankyou for your no less sublime performance.
Great touch and feel on guitar ...are this guitars you play hand crafted by luthier..can I have it if you get bored of playing it ? Its near Christmas? Keep the fine style acoming..
Clive I’ll ask you because I’m asking the v v best imho . Will a bone saddle sound better on my Martin x series 00x1ae ? Than the stock one that’s worn grooves in & needs replacing?
A bone saddle is usually a good thing. It’s hard, light, and polishes up to a wonderful sheen. In my experience it’s consistently the best saddle material. A good luthier will fully intonate the saddle for you so that strings play as in tune as they can up and down the neck.
Just three things: 1 It was STELLAR, I'm totally amazed 2 I realise I learned it with completely wrong fingering (drop D, capo 2nd fret) 3 I NEED to re-learn it right (or try to, at least)
Thanks! There are a few versions out there... I used the Rosetti/Renbourn arrangement which was the final version John was hearing... All the best, Clive
I have been listening to this John Renbourn tune for 50+ years. This is the best rendition, ever.
Beautiful. Thank you.
There's nothing more to add. It's touching the heart.

Hello! I agree with @nickpearsonuk too - he's got it spot on. Def worth giving it a go if you can... Clive
