If I were just starting out without a DAW or anything, I would 100% buy this. I read the specs and this thing would be crazy for making Dubstep and DnB as well. With the IK Synth, and an audio interface you could be into EDM with hardware for those tactile guys. This drum machine is nearly a perfect piece from everything I can see.
Looks nice! The rhythm patterns, are they regular midi files? Would I be able to import my own? I have thousands I bought from Groove Monkee. Also and most important, will it receive midi as well as transmit?
Mine arrived yesterday. Great standalone drummachine with a couple of good drumkits. I have a question about the midi connectivity. My goal was to program patterns on the RM-100 and record them as midi tracks in my daw. I can't seem to get it to work. Tried multiple settings in my daw and in the RM-100. What works is 'live' playing the drum on the RM-100 and record that as midi, but playing the patterns won't record it into midi tracks. Also, I would like to sync-start the RM-100 with my daw. That also doesn't seem to work. Do you have any suggestions to get this to work or are these the limitations of the midi connection of the RM-100? Thanks!
You can build up the layers. The editing resembles the Alesis SR-16, if you are familiar. You enter recording mode and it just loops and you can keep adding. You can delete single drums too. The drumkits seem to be fixed, you can’t make a custom kit, but you can layer drums from other kits in your loop. There is no step editing.
@@jamesking33 That’s brill. Thank you. Just asking, have you got one of these? And, if so, are they worth the money for what it does as it’s one of the cheapest I’ve seen….. cheers 😊
I just purchased one online. When recording a 4 bar loop can you overdub and build a beat up with individual hits. For example, does it allow me to enter bass drum, then loop back and record a snare, loop back to add hi hats..etc etc?
Yes, that is exactly how it works. You can delete specific drums too. You cannot make a custom kit, but you can add drums from other kits to your loop.

Does this have a step sequencer for building patterns or do you have to play it live?
Great little drum machine, very affordable !
Is it possible to have a all Kits demo ?
Thanks !
Awesome! Does it have a clock signal?

This is what I have been searching for!
Awesome!
Simple but sounds as a game changer if you ask me
Sync in/out?
Cool unit - perhaps I missed it, but does it have a metronome function?
Wow, great kit at fantastic price. Only con is no foot switch option…
How long can a song be and each self-recorded pattern be?

Hi, did you get the midi to transmit and recieve.....? The manual on the midi side of things only looks like midi out?...
Can you build up the layers, a bit like a looper, or do you have to play the whole beat in one go?

Wow - there were better sounding drum machines for that price 25 years ago.
Great demo and features for the advertised £59.99 😎👍
