    DESCRIPTION ✨
    Have you ever struggled with how to make a DIY onesie or baby bodysuit with your Cricut? I'm going to show you how in this video tutorial. It's super easy! DIY bodysuits make such sweet gifts for new parents at baby showers. Plus they're a super cheap gift idea.
    A lot of beginners struggle getting their heat transfer vinyl (HTV) to stick to their onesie. This happens because the seams are very thick on onesies. So folding a kitchen towel and placing it beneath the onesie is the best hack to make sure your HTV sticks every time! I really like using StarCraft SoftFlex HTV because it has a matte finish, and it's more stretchy than Siser Easyweed HTV.
    Here's what you can expect to learn in this video:
    0:00 - Introduction
    0:18 - Cricut Design Space Tutorial
    1:56 - How to cut StarCraft SoftFlex HTV / Iron on
    2:37 - How to weed StarCraft SoftFlex HTV / Heat Transfer Vinyl
    4:56 - Best Hack for making baby onesies with HTV
    6:15 - How to apply iron on to a baby onesie
    8:23 - Outro

    Great tip! I tried making a onesie with the infusible ink and easy press 2 and had the same problem! Found this towel tip and Voilà! My second attempt was perfect. Thank you!

    This is going to be my very first project with my Cricut maker, and its for my very first grandchild. Im way excited. I believe I only have one question before i get started. How do I know what temperature I need to set my Cricut Easypress at? And how do I know how long to press it?... Ok, I guess I had 2 questions 😊.

      Use the cut settings that are recommended for the HTV brand that you’re using ☺️

    I have those same kitchen towels (well, it was a set but that was one of the designs.
    Also, if I'm using teflon and layering HTV, does that mean I don't have to put the carrier sheet back on to cover the originally pressed HTV? I've only used the Siser Easy Weed so far.

    • @DIYAlex
      @DIYAlex  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I love my pioneer woman kitchen towels! Correct, if you use Teflon you don’t need to add the carrier sheet back in as you’re layering. Great question!

    I’m trying to make a glitter iron on with my joy machine and cricut smart glitter HTV and my machine is not cutting through properly allowing me to weed successfully. I have changed blade ???

    This is awesome, thank you! One of my friends just had a baby and I’m making her some onesies! Any tips for using a regular iron instead? I just got the Cricut and don’t want to/am unable to invest in an easy press just yet. Thank you♥️

    • @DIYAlex
      @DIYAlex  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would still use a pressing pillow or a piece of wood under the onesie when you press with an iron. Turn the iron all the way up with no steam. Wait 24 hours before washing and it should be fine!

    What kind of cricut are you using?

    • @DIYAlex
      @DIYAlex  ปีที่แล้ว

      I probably used my Maker for this video, but any of the Cricut machines can cut HTV for onesies.

    Hey there! I just purchased vinyl from that company but I went with the wrong vinyl! I purchased StarCraft HD Matte Permanent Vinyl instead (I misheard you). Should I cancel this order? Thanks in advance!

    • @DIYAlex
      @DIYAlex  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      HD is my favorite permanent adhesive vinyl. So if you want to use it for hard surface projects, then I say keep it! If you only want to use it for fabric projects like this, then you will probably want to cancel it.

    I was working on a onesie this morning; it cut beautifully but I ironed it on but it would not stick. why?

    • @DIYAlex
      @DIYAlex  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s likely a pressure issue. The video addresses that and how to fix it.

    can i just use a iron instead of getting an easy press?

    • @DIYAlex
      @DIYAlex  ปีที่แล้ว

      An iron will work okay for onesies, but overall the easy press works way better for HTV than an iron.

    Everyone is telling me to get a regular printer & then use the cricut … i’m confused when they say print and then put it through cricket. Can anyone please explain why they keep saying by a printer ? Thanks

    • @DIYAlex
      @DIYAlex  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can do print then cut projects with a printer and your Cricut, but it’s not necessary to have both unless you want to do those types of projects!

    • @kathyparsons8883
      @kathyparsons8883 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you . One more question ? When I use the printer do I send the decision from the computer to the cricut then it cut it out ?

    Hi! What’s the measurements you use for onesies?

    • @DIYAlex
      @DIYAlex  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on the size of the onesie. Usually around 4 inches wide.
