I have been to a few of these over the years back when they were more common in the early 90's....back when evangelists actually evangelized and weren't just guest speakers.
The Holy spirit does these wonders?? What,to act foolish jumping up and down spewing gibberish? Unsaved people are laughing at this mockery and not taking Jesus seriously.
@@jonnyshanon2103 When you get in the spirit of God after you are born again (or saved) you will want to praise God and you will not care about what others are doing or saying. God loves You will be so happy in the Lord. Praying that you will understand. God has a plan for each one of us.
God loves you as you are. Call out to Jesus and ask Him to come into your heart. If you are not attending church anywhere, find one and go. Church services start at 10:30AM or 11:00AM Sunday morning. See you in church on Sunday morning.
I grew up in a Holiness Church. As such, I can say I have never seen anybody stop dancing in the spirit when the music stopped. Every singer could be long gone, and people would still be running, jumping and dancing. If a person stops as soon as the music does, then they are just going through the motions and not actually in the spirit. Us Holiness/Pentecostals preach STRONGLY against pretending to be in the spirit, as that is basically blasphemy of the Holy Ghost.
I've been to a tent meeting in Canada. My church had a group of us go from the US to help out. It was on an Island with a tribe. Don't remember the name. They worship after the sermon and people are ministered to. This one guy was dancing and moving about with his eyes closed. We moved some chairs out of his way. He fell out under the power of the Holy Spirit. No one touched him. This was in the early nineties. I should clarify. The guy wasn't dancing he was caught up in the spirit. Moved around with his eyes closed. Also the same night a guy came in intoxicated. There is a reservation on the island and many are alcoholics. After he accepted Jesus and was prayed for he became completely sober. That's one miracle I haven't heard about before.

Speaking in tongues will always be a spoken language in the world. God is not the author of confusion. Pentecostals get this foolishness from a different spirit. Its definitely not the Holy Spirit.
Yes, it's always a language that has existed, currently exists, or will exist. So what's the problem? There are languages in the world that sound like complete gibberish. Are you going to tell the people that speak that language that they're speaking nonsense? No, because it's their language.

This always saddens me to hear.... yes, there are numerous places if "worship" that have turned into cults BUT there are even more that are truth teaching, Holy Spirit led joy filled congregations. I was raised in it, 4th generation. My kids are 5th and we are blessed to have found real places of apostolic life. They are out there, hope those of you who were hurt and misled can find the REAL truth and peace in a pure, sincere, apostolic, holiness church family. 🙏
Once the Holy spirit actually finds you... you realize THIS is so far from the truth, it's hard to even consider it Christian. Come out of it my brothers and sisters, repent for your blasphemy, and seek the truth... the truth is free, and easy to find... unless your are a blind unbeliever, and then there is no hope. When the spirit falls upon you, you don't dance and run around... you weep openly, fall on your face and worship, and have the burning conviction of what you really are.
@Corrigan WrongWay honestly most believers are deceived.. this holiday along with Christmas serve as prime example. That doesn't mean we are all hellbound, but it does mean if we do make it in the end, we will be lesser. The scariest words in all of the Holy Bible stand clear.. depart from me, I never knew you. That is for one's who cast out demons and prophesied, like Paul, thinking the whole time they are doing the will of The Lord. It's not as much the people, it's the leadership.. and the ones faking this "experience". It's charismatic more than it is anything else.. I say this out of love, and in no way look down or want to disparage these people... but love means truth, and the willingness to share that with others in hope that they may 🙏 and receive the blessing of truth.
I imagine people said the same thing about the New Testament believers. With that said there is a plethora of things in our Holy scripture that people either don't know, or choose to ignore. The birth date of Messiah being one of many. We have a diagram written with Devine inspiration that details out and lays the foundation for our way. Now... as far as anyone who calls themselves "Pentecostal" we have to examine in detail what that person or people believe. When I ask questions I get the same answers, and well... they just don't work. Let us examine the Pentecost firstly. It come from a biblical scripture for sure, without doubt. But... that's where it ends. As with most denominational "churchs" a little bit of the truth gets Romanized or mixed with some other form of worship not intended for believers in YHWH. See... the Pentecost is a very small part of the word, and was never intended to be added to any type of worship, as it was a sign at the time to the peoples. When we go in depth we see how and why it was used. Firstly it was a sign, next there is a way in which it worked. The way was very straightforward. A man who doesn't know or understand a particular language starts speaking that tongue. Now.. another man was there who didn't speak or understand that language interprets and translates that language. The languages of different people were different than their mother tongue, but still was a real known language, and was able to be interpreted. Never one time does it say that everyone did it... nor does it say it was a continued practice. Never one time does anyone jump up and run around the room in joy. Never once does the Holy scripture speak of people sitting around babbling incoherent gibberish. When we get a true visit from the Holy Spirit, we are not joyous, we feel the slight effect of being in the company of the one true God. We fall on our faces and pray... and cry. We feel the evil we have in us, the goodness of YHWH, and how far we are from his glory. However... when you study demon worship, people speak gibberish, get up and run around, and choose willing ignorance over the word as given. Catholics do it all the time. Why is it when questioned your first response is Blasphemy? I guess that all apostolic believers are blasphemous in your eyes. Paul would fall into that category as well. Before you spew the Blasphemy line ask yourself this question... do I celebrate Christmas? Do I celebrate Easter? Do I follow the Lord's commands? Do I follow the commands of YHWH? Do I observe sabbath? Do I observe the given feast? I'm am not better than anyone, as my journey is lifelong and still continues. I'm not looking down on anyone... but... I refuse to let the deception override the word of God. I am saved, but a sinner. I'm a child of God, but still fall short of righteousness. I want us all to fully understand what is in that book... not what someone else has told us, or what it means. Read the book. Study the book. Take every word as truth. Come out of her my brother.
I grew up in pentecost. Church of god. As I grew up and wiser in the word. I think the dancing to the rhythm of music is flesh. Holiness call it dancing in the spirit. Cut the music off and the dancing stops. That's why I feel there's a danger in priming the holy spirit with moving your tongue until the spirit speaks in tongues. Satan has counterfeited alot of holiness drinking strychnine, handling poison snakes and hugging hot stoves as my dad has seen. My Jesus does everything decent and in order. Not author of confusion. If an unbeliever came in needing jesus. And church was dancing to organ music as in a trance. Would the unbeliever leave or start dancing? Look at the congregation watching the spirit dancers. They to are moving to the music. See why it's flesh?

If, therefore, the whole church comes together and all speak in tongues, and outsiders or unbelievers enter, will they not say that you are out of your minds? Oh my God, this reminds me of the sean from the 10 Commandments where when Moses went up to the Mt.sini to talk to God and get the tablet, the people below waiting went crazy! Dancing, drinking having sex with anything, idol worship, running around half naked, ackting like total fools. Wow!
That’s just the way it ended up when we started praying. Typically in our services when we have what we call “an altar call”, the men do pray on one side and the ladies on the other. I can’t speak for every church. I’ve been to some that don’t do it that way. Thanks for asking.

Sorry, I've seen too much of this style of worship to believe it. Emotionalism at best, deception at worst. Just look at a Benny Hinn meeting. The power of suggestion overwhelms people who want to believe it. The real power of God doesn't need to put on a show. Focus on the scriptures. Don't be deceived.
Thank you for your comment. Please allow me to respond. In defense of our worship, we feel that we absolutely are focusing on Scripture. A very surface reading of the Bible will show you, people of all walks of life responded to God's Spirit and truth in a variety of ways. Some fell on their faces as though they were dead, some clapped their hands, some shouted, some rejoiced, some cried, some leaped, some danced, etc. In fact, read the Psalms they are filled with "emotionalism" toward God. So, we don't believe we are putting on a show, we are just responding to God the best way we know how in that moment. In Acts 2, when the promised Spirit had filled the disciples, they began to speak in tongues. When the people saw and heard this, they thought it was an unnecessary display of behavior. Some even thought they were drunk. I understand that many would perhaps think the same about us. My response would be, not only are we not deceived, not only do we have a strong focus on the Scriptures, but we are so thankful for what God has done for us, we want to express it in our praise and worship. @@truthwaychurchatlasalle thank you for your response. My response, the proof is in the pudding. I've seen too many charismatic people, movements that have a false belief life this. Usually 10 years later, most have fallen away, because their faith is not rooted in Christ as much as it is in the emotions and the people, Church, or that Pastor. In Acts 2, the people spoke in tongues for a purpose for that situation. I've seen more fake tongues in todays church, people coaching people to speak in tongues. That's not the same as in Acts 2. Also, did Paul not say in 1 Cor. 14 that he would rather you not speak in tongues unless there is an interpreter? and he would rather you speak w understanding rather than a tongue. This is a rebuke to people who speak in tongues w no interpreter. In your video, there are kids hoping up and down, looking around, looking to see what is acceptable to the crowd. That's not the Holy Spirit. People running around obviously with no order. This is a travesty for any Church that truly wants to follow Christ.
There are people who seriously worship God like this and there are others who do it mockingly or trying to fit in. Just because there are a couple of flukes here and there does not mean its coming from the heart. David danced unto the Lord over 20 miles for retrieving a box (the Ark), why can't they for 30 min to 1hr.

It's not a couple of flukes, it's a systemic way of training people to act crazy, speak in tongues, in other words, be out of order. They learn bad habits from the beginning. For the tongues, where is even 1 to interpret?

Don't be a Michal, don't be a Pharisees, and don't be a mocker who thinks we're just a bunch of undignified drunk people. Rather you should, Psa 150:1 Praise ye the LORD. Psa 150:3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Psa 150:4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. I love evangelical Holy Ghost meetings however the women are dressed as if they are still possibly in a spirit of religion and tradition of dress. The Lord moves freely when the traditions of man and religion is out of the way, no hindering spirits. "Where the spirit of the Lord is there is freedom"!!

If we look at the whole chapter of John 3, Jesus talks about the new birth and how it is from above. John 3:8 [8]The wind blows where it wills; and though you hear its sound, yet you neither know where it comes from nor where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit. The ability to be born again does not come from human desire or ability. It comes from God alone. It is God's good pleasure that a sinner would be regenerated by the word of the Holy Spirit (Ghost) because man by nature is rebellious against God and will never turn to God. Whoever is born of the Spirit is a walking miracle because God has done all the part in transforming the once rebellious sinner. A complete u turn happens and a desire for godly things is borne. John 3:19 [19]The judgment lies in this: the Light has come into the world, and people have loved the darkness rather than and more than the Light, for their works (deeds) were evil. [Isa. 5:20.] Therefore being born from above is purely God's work for His own Glory.

Once the Holy spirit actually finds you... you realize THIS is so far from the truth, it's hard to even consider it Christian. Come out of it my brothers and sisters, repent for your blasphemy, and seek the truth... the truth is free, and easy to find... unless your are a blind unbeliever, and then there is no hope. With that said there is a plethora of things in our Holy scripture that people either don't know, or choose to ignore. The birth date of Messiah being one of many. We have a diagram written with Devine inspiration that details out and lays the foundation for our way. Now... as far as anyone who calls themselves "Pentecostal" we have to examine in detail what that person or people believe. When I ask questions I get the same answers, and well... they just don't work. Let us examine the Pentecost firstly. It come from a biblical scripture for sure, without doubt. But... that's where it ends. As with most denominational "churchs" a little bit of the truth gets Romanized or mixed with some other form of worship not intended for believers in YHWH. See... the Pentecost is a very small part of the word, and was never intended to be added to any type of worship, as it was a sign at the time to the peoples. When we go in depth we see how and why it was used. Firstly it was a sign, next there is a way in which it worked. The way was very straightforward. A man who doesn't know or understand a particular language starts speaking that tongue. Now.. another man was there who didn't speak or understand that language interprets and translates that language. The languages of different people were different than their mother tongue, but still was a real known language, and was able to be interpreted. Never one time does it say that everyone did it... nor does it say it was a continued practice. Never one time does anyone jump up and run around the room in joy. Never once does the Holy scripture speak of people sitting around babbling incoherent gibberish. When we get a true visit from the Holy Spirit, we are not joyous, we feel the slight effect of being in the company of the one true God. We fall on our faces and pray... and cry. We feel the evil we have in us, the goodness of YHWH, and how far we are from his glory. However... when you study demon worship, people speak gibberish, get up and run around, and choose willing ignorance over the word as given. Catholics do it all the time. Why is it when questioned your first response is Blasphemy? I guess that all apostolic believers are blasphemous in your eyes. Paul would fall into that category as well. Before you spew the Blasphemy line ask yourself this question... do I celebrate Christmas? Do I celebrate Easter? Do I follow the Lord's commands? Do I follow the commands of YHWH? Do I observe sabbath? Do I observe the given feast? I'm am not better than anyone, as my journey is lifelong and still continues. I'm not looking down on anyone... but... I refuse to let the deception override the word of God. I am saved, but a sinner. I'm a child of God, but still fall short of righteousness. I want us all to fully understand what is in that book... not what someone else has told us, or what it means. Read the book. Study the book. Take every word as truth. Come out of her my brother.

I grew up in pentecost. Church of god. As I grew up and wiser in the word. I think the dancing to the rhythm of music is flesh. Holiness call it dancing in the spirit. Cut the music off and the dancing stops. That's why I feel there's a danger in priming the holy spirit with moving your tongue until the spirit speaks in tongues. Why are the women and men separated?
That’s just the way it ended up when we started praying. Typically in our services when we have what we call “an altar call”, the men do pray on one side and the ladies on the other. I can’t speak for every church. I’ve been to some that don’t do it that way. Thanks for asking.

Sorry, I've seen too much of this style of worship to believe it. Emotionalism at best, deception at worst. Just look at a Benny Hinn meeting. The power of suggestion overwhelms people who want to believe it. The real power of God doesn't need to put on a show. Focus on the scriptures. Don't be deceived.
Thank you for your comment. Please allow me to respond. In defense of our worship, we feel that we absolutely are focusing on Scripture. A very surface reading of the Bible will show you, people of all walks of life responded to God's Spirit and truth in a variety of ways. Some fell on their faces as though they were dead, some clapped their hands, some shouted, some rejoiced, some cried, some leaped, some danced, etc. In fact, read the Psalms they are filled with "emotionalism" toward God. So, we don't believe we are putting on a show, we are just responding to God the best way we know how in that moment.
In Acts 2, when the promised Spirit had filled the disciples, they began to speak in tongues. When the people saw and heard this, they thought it was an unnecessary display of behavior. Some even thought they were drunk. I understand that many would perhaps think the same about us. My response would be, not only are we not deceived, not only do we have a strong focus on the Scriptures, but we are so thankful for what God has done for us, we want to express it in our praise and worship.

@@truthwaychurchatlasalle thank you for your response. My response, the proof is in the pudding. I've seen too many charismatic people, movements that have a false belief life this. Usually 10 years later, most have fallen away, because their faith is not rooted in Christ as much as it is in the emotions and the people, Church, or that Pastor. In Acts 2, the people spoke in tongues for a purpose for that situation. I've seen more fake tongues in todays church, people coaching people to speak in tongues. That's not the same as in Acts 2. Also, did Paul not say in 1 Cor. 14 that he would rather you not speak in tongues unless there is an interpreter? and he would rather you speak w understanding rather than a tongue. This is a rebuke to people who speak in tongues w no interpreter. In your video, there are kids hoping up and down, looking around, looking to see what is acceptable to the crowd. That's not the Holy Spirit. People running around obviously with no order. This is a travesty for any Church that truly wants to follow Christ.
There are people who seriously worship God like this and there are others who do it mockingly or trying to fit in. Just because there are a couple of flukes here and there does not mean its coming from the heart. David danced unto the Lord over 20 miles for retrieving a box (the Ark), why can't they for 30 min to 1hr.

It's not a couple of flukes, it's a systemic way of training people to act crazy, speak in tongues, in other words, be out of order. They learn bad habits from the beginning.
