Thats when you blast jizz all over the processor because you're like "Ugh, you process so fast gurl." I don't know anything about computers, that's probably obvious.
It just seems like too much of a distraction to watch a live stream while you are watching porn. I guess some people are just better at multi-tasking then me.
Man I really miss old PC game boxes. When I was a kid I was big into racing sims (and still am) and those always came with an actual jewel case in the box, along with a 200+ page manual detailing not only how to install the game, but details of all the cars and tracks, rules, how to drive the car properly, basic car setup, and all sorts of other super in-depth stuff that we just don't get anymore.
Wish I could grow a beard...Literally all I want from my body right now. Was anyone here a late beard grower? I'm 23 and still cant grow a beard, only a few hairs on my neck.
I hope this video never gets a single downvote, because Woolie is absolutely correct about everything he said about Nvidia setting up residence inside its own anus.
I kinda wished games nowadays didn't focus too much on the graphics and more on artificial intelligence. Many multiplayer games need multiplayer bots, instead of scripted AI.
Sadly Pat still pre-ordered the card. Also, I really agree with Woolie about GeForce Experience. I hadn't used an Nvidia card for years, and the first thing that greats me when I reinstall that old card into a temporary rig is that damn log in option. It doesn't even let me install new drivers through that program. So good damn stupid.
You wanna talk about disingenuous, there was an expo a... few months ago now...? where Intel revealed an astounding 28-core CPU running at over 5.0 GHz on every single core to hit the consumer market this winter... except it turned out they were using a fucking AIR CONDITIONER to cool it and get that 5 GHz on all cores. Which was laughable when, just half a day later, AMD came out and revealed their *32-core* CPU that could hit 4+ GHz on all cores on regular ol' air cooling.
Are you talking about raytracing? Raytracing is a real thing that involves simulating rays of light in realtime- usually reserved for animation since it takes so much power to render, few games actually utilize it in a meaningful way at the moment. The new Rtx 20 series isn’t actually that much of a performance bump besides the addition of raytracing. The consensus in the PC community is to skip the new cards currently.
Ray-tracing is MUCH more graphically intensive than usual rendering. I've got a 960GTX on my PC and can play Witcher 3 with Ultra settings no issues with hardly any noticeable FPS drops... But if I try to render a personal architectural project with V-Ray it can take up to 1h40 to have a single image done. Most people don't understand how ray-tracing is different. I see this as a move on NVidias part on how to integrate the traditional live-time rendering of games in the GTX cards with ray-tracing from Quaddro cards. For example, a Quaddro card would suck for gaming, but it is fantastic for ray-tracing uses for architecture, design and perhaps 3D modeling. I love Pat, but he's absolutely wrong on this one. The RTX 2080 has the same capacities for gaming that a 1080 or perhaps Titan would have, but with the added feature that it can do something only Quaddro cards can do properly.
Dude, installing the Yukon Trail (not the Oregon Trail, the Yukon Trail) on like a dozen floppy disks. I was a little kid and my dad installed it for me and I was so hype.
I have a GTX1080 and I am happy with it when it comes to 1440p gaming. but I am a computer scientist and the idea of getting a gtx 2080 or 2080ti with amazing tenser core for AI work that will cost a fraction of a $5000-3000 Quadro card that's a good thing. I really hope AMD get their shit together and stop the rebrand and do a big release of a nice video cards that can compete with current gen Nvidia cards.
I mean the Vega 56/64 cards would have been that competition at least in the 1070/1080 bracket but, like others have said miners bought a shit tonne of those cards and caused the prices to skyrocket.
No that won't be the best solution. Intel business model disgust me and whatever they start with will be focusing more on Pro level rather than consumers. Plus by 2020 I hope I get to finish my quantum computing Master degree and get to work more with such Super computers xb.
DMCV on PC? Pfffft. Everybody knows DMC is at home on the PlayStation. That's why Dino was everybody's favorite character in the smash hit game, PlayStation All-Stars.
As a console player, all this PC terminology jargon is way over my head. It's like in sci-fi movies where a tech person is explaining some tech bullshit and someone goes. "Can you repeat that in English?" Belittle me if you wish, but at I'm perfectly comfortable with the simplicity of a console.
Pat says Nvidia is disingenuous, which they always have been, so it's nothing new. They did the whole press conference and ended it with "It's faster than the old model for this one particular thing" without actually showing any real tangible evidence. It's just using ray tracing, which is a rendering technique, which is cool, but they didn't show any actual data comparing it against their old cards with the ray tracing on or off. Basically people want the frames per second in benchmarks with ray tracing on and off. Woolie says that Nvidias software sucks and they're stuck up their own asshole. And they are. In order to use the software (which is primarily for driver updates and screen capture) they now want you to log in to their bullshit social media platform no one gives a fuck about and wasn't required until sometime last year. Matt says he doesn't understand, but just wants the dumb goofy big tittied babes with guns on the box covers like they used to. Then they all proceed to talk about box art and 90s era installation processes.
Is what Pat talking about even true at all? Given his track record of saying things that ends up being false, I have to always doubt what he said these days.
The new cards wouldn't be profitable. They are being sold at inflated prices and are designed to do more than simple number crunching. They would be inefficient for mining and would never make return on investment in any reasonable period of time. Even with efficient, well priced cards the mining market is crashing and is hard to be profitable in right now unless you are a massive corporation running warehouses full of them purchased at wholesale prices.
Pat is wrong on Crysis. It's way more complicated than "it's not optimized". It's emergent tech that was supposed to follow a single-core performance Moore's Law as the trend was, and a market that went to multi-core focus instead. Crysis team would need to remake the whole thing to go into multi-core usage. There's a nice video summarizing this on the youtubes you can google-fu if you care.
Car guys have been rolled into gaming. Gold-chain gamers are always bragging about their card, their rig. Blackbond wont even touch a game thats below 60fps.
We live in a time where engines are way more powerful than what any game would require. We have yet to create games that are challenging to the biggest cards.
Nvidia: this is our new videocard lineup! Pretty much no one is going to be able to afford these since we jacked up the price even more than 10xx, but hey, those PCMR idiots will buy them at least, hell they will probably preorder founders edition with even more jacked up price!
Nurse Valentine also to answer your question, engines can in some instances make or break the car. the car can be beautiful, but if the engine sucks, then whats the point. or the car can be cool but the engine makes it almost legendary, i.e. mazda rx-7 also in a lot of cases you can swap almost any engine into any car, depending on the purpose of the vehicle or the amount of money you have for the project. Engines blow or become outdated, but a particular car's styling can be timeless, or vice versa with a timeless engine and a p.o.s. car. that's why ls swaps are popular, rotary's are worshiped and 2jz's are considered the GOAT. for fun you can look at some of the crazy stuff people have done to smart cars th-cam.com/video/V0egsSAsiyQ/w-d-xo.html
i have a i7 2700k (4 x 3.8ghz), 16gb of ram and a 970gtx i run MHW on medium and i'm constantly 60fps. (1920x1080, 60hz btw) are the ppl who are complaining having 100+ hertz monitors and 4k? also 130 hours in, no bugs (i am aware of the defeat end boss > save game can get corrupted thing, already prepping myself for that in case it happens by making back ups of my save.)
yeah, like the one of this year, you wouldn't believe his hotel dumped his stuff to the trash and the cleaning staff thought all his money was a "tip" the night before the conference Day9 just smiled and carried on the show during the event
04:20 "RTX Ray-Flops"
pat, I think the term you're looking for is
*B L A S T P R O C E S S I N G *
"Processing, why you gotta be so blast?!"
SUPER BLESSED FRIENDS BLAST CAST
314epsilon at least blast processing was a cool name
Thats when you blast jizz all over the processor because you're like "Ugh, you process so fast gurl."
I don't know anything about computers, that's probably obvious.
Xzibit’s new show based in Silicon Valley, “Blast my Processing”
Why would anyone willingly watch a card press conference over source filmmaker porn?
Mem Aleph They are interested in buying a graphics card to make their SFM porn run better duh
It just seems like too much of a distraction to watch a live stream while you are watching porn. I guess some people are just better at multi-tasking then me.
Blender porn > SFM porn
Short games go up, long games go waaay down.
Man I really miss old PC game boxes. But why would you care about your cars tuning, don't you just want to drive it? /s
Pat your beard is at the perfect point
He looks like louis ck and kratos had a baby
Wish I could grow a beard...Literally all I want from my body right now. Was anyone here a late beard grower? I'm 23 and still cant grow a beard, only a few hairs on my neck.
Pat looks so much like Kyle Kinane that it's not even funny.
NO! MORE BEARD!
*I HAVE A QUESTION ...*
Why is Matt NOT wearing a Punisher cap ?
Who is this imposter ?
The skull is probably on the back, relax
There is a skull inside his head. Therefore he is wearing a Punisher logo.
Are you saying there's a skeleton inside Matt?
@@ruancarlo2098 no, they're saying there's a punisher 'inside' Matt.😉
Well he has to wash his Punisher hats EVENTUALLY.
I hope this video never gets a single downvote, because Woolie is absolutely correct about everything he said about Nvidia setting up residence inside its own anus.
Oldemar 10 dislikes
everyone betrayed me I'm fed up with this world
I can't let Pat be that wrong and not get a single dislike.
And the monkey's pae curled
Thankfully now that cryptocurrency is crashing the video card vultures are no longer circling and causing the prices of video cards to skyrocket.
Crypto isn't crashing, it's just leveling off since all the miners have gotten all the cards they want for now.
I hope all those people who did that nonsense were dumb enough to put all their money into it, because when it crashes I want them to lose it all.
“It feels like it belongs on the PS4.”
Ironically I played DMC on a 360 via the HD collection.
I kinda wished games nowadays didn't focus too much on the graphics and more on artificial intelligence. Many multiplayer games need multiplayer bots, instead of scripted AI.
How many Dreamcasts?
Woolie: I dunno. How many breads have you eaten in your lifetime?
Sadly Pat still pre-ordered the card. Also, I really agree with Woolie about GeForce Experience. I hadn't used an Nvidia card for years, and the first thing that greats me when I reinstall that old card into a temporary rig is that damn log in option. You can download the drivers from Nvidias website. Honestly not a whole lot else to do in Geforce Experience anyways.
You wanna talk about disingenuous, there was an expo a... few months ago now...? where Intel revealed an astounding 28-core CPU running at over 5.0 GHz on every single core to hit the consumer market this winter... except it turned out they were using a fucking AIR CONDITIONER to cool it and get that 5 GHz on all cores.

shattercross But does make computer go fast?
jdog45ify
Nah, just makes shit shiny. CPUs are what make your computer go fast.
shattercross I know I was just quoting Pat quoting Matt

Combining workstation and gaming capabilities I can see as a benefit. The prices for just the base 2080 is still too high though.
AND HE THEN IMMEDIATELY BOUGHT IT (RTX 2080 TI)
Americana red then complains on the next podcast that it literally did nothing to performance, and nobody should ever buy it
I dont know whats going on, all I know is I want much frames go big fast.
So if I have the 1080 FTW I'm probably not missing out on much?
I didn't have my headphones in so I thought they were talking about playing cards
Liking those #THe13000FE reference.
To be fair, I leave Geralt's hair flow-y option on.

GothicTech better put your expextations on Intel. They'll be joining the video card market in 2020
Nah for AI you need that $50,000 DXG worksation.
I mean the Vega 56/64 cards would have been that competition at least in the 1070/1080 bracket but, like others have said miners bought a shit tonne of those cards and caused the prices to skyrocket.

I've always liked the big boxes they had for PC games and I do wish they still produced them like that s an option.
I get *real* hype about new GPUs when I'm installing it into my PC.
One of the best feelings in the world.
Is what Pat talking about even true at all? Given his track record of saying things that ends up being false, I have to always doubt what he said these days.
Sadly this is a world dominated by $erver$ and ad$ ($pyNet)you MUST agree their term$
I wonder what Pat's rig is specwise
For a master race there is a whole lot of problems.
MrIronWar PC peasants masquerading as console royalty.
I want to put hot wheels flames on my GPU
It'll make it go faster!
I'm glad they see DMC and RE as more important WHEN MONSTER HUNTER WORLD IS THE BEST SELLING CAPCOM GAME OF ALL TIME.
Can't wait for all the bitcoin miners to jack up the prices on those graphic cards...
If it makes you feel better, a lot of them are out thousands because of the crash.
Why wait? All of the ones for pre-order right now are $1300.
The new cards wouldn't be profitable. They are being sold at inflated prices and are designed to do more than simple number crunching. They would be inefficient for mining and would never make return on investment in any reasonable period of time. Dont worry even the popular altcoins ether etc. are not profitable with GPUs anymore, they are going to use ASIC just like bitcoin
WerdyA a $5000 card just became a $10000 card. Profiting from fake money 😎

Why is Woolie making game cards?
Big props to Woolie calling out Nvidia for their bullshit "sign in to get driver updates!" methods.
This is basically PhysX, but with lighting.
physx wasnt making screenshots better, this is, so its going to stay
Nothing like a e s t h e t i c
Wow, I watched this live over at Twitch.tv/superbestfriendcast
Fuck yes mechwarrior.
I'm just gonna keep buying whatever console Sony and Nintendo shits out
Pat looks a little too much like a more angry, potato-blooded David Cage now
Wasn’t aware Woolie was in the video card business.
I mean, it's like people who get super excited over the motor instead of the fucking car itself. Like... why?
because it's a better motor. stupid analogy aside
LS SWAP THE PLANET!!!
CLANG CLANG CLANG CLANG surprisingly, you cannot just drop any graphics card into practically any PC tower either.
Lexus LFA

I always wonder.......what kinda boring ass person you gotta be to be hyped about cards.
Pat's just sad that his Monster Hunter only runs at 59 frames per second.
The kind that thinks spending thousands of dollars on a box makes you a superior being.
I don't know, as someone who works in component level electronics I do find the technical and engineering aspects interesting.
Verd254 finding it interesting is fine but finding it exhilarating or hype worthy is strange it's like people getting hyped for golf
Ivore Surkuri Hell yeah there is, but graphic card talk bores the hell out of me
Imagine if Pat shaved
He has! It looks horrible!
Why would you give a balding ginger the biggest square?
These guys working on the MHW port to PC did an amazing job considering.
i have a i7 2700k (4 x 3.8ghz), 16gb of ram and a 970gtx i run MHW on medium and i'm constantly 60fps. (1920x1080, 60hz btw)

also 130 hours in, no bugs
(i am aware of the defeat end boss > save game can get corrupted thing, already prepping myself for that in case it happens by making back ups of my save.)
This is also why the E3 pc conference is the worst. That and day9 has a really punchable face
day9 is one of the nicest and most genuine people in PC gaming and has been for like a decade, wtf man
yeah, like the one of this year, you wouldn't believe his hotel dumped his stuff to the trash and the cleaning staff thought all his money was a "tip" the night before the conference
Day9 just smiled and carried on the show during the event
PC in general is the worst. :)
How dare anyone like things.
Buy amd lol
That's a cpu not a gpu
Matthew Coyle amd bought ati. Amd makes graphics cards lol.
Matthew Coyle AMD has a cpu division and gpu division
Shadowplay is shit anyways lmao
pc gaming is for nerds anyway
