Law & Crime needs to change the title of this video. There was no "violent fight". Dominique Jones assaulted Travis; she's a domestic abuser. If the gender roles were reversed and a man beat up his girlfriend, Law & Crime would never describe that as a "violent fight."

This is CERTAINLY NOT a first degree murder situation. 1st degree murder is planned/premeditated. From day 1 we have KNOWN that this was in NO WAY premeditated or planned out by the defendant. How can a first degree murder charge be pursued by the prosecution when there is 0 evidence showing premeditation. I am not even arguing if he should be acquitted or not, but he 100% should not be facing a first degree murder charge for shooting at the people that jumped him at his own house.
His tail may be done with regardless tho. Fired too many times with they were retreating. The threat was over.
Depends which state you're in as to how "premeditated" works. Here, it doesn't require a long drawn out plan with a body disposal method, deep cogitation and planning, it just needs to be intentional, meaning that death was the intent of the action.

yeah it really depends on pasts cases similar cases that established the premeditation. With this outcome its definitely going to create some waves. Right now I'm thinking "Are the Prosecutors trying to saying he somehow orchestrated her to become so mad so he can shoot up some people? CANNOT be the case. Then I started thinking "Ohhh the prosecutors trying to argue that he gave chase afterwards when there was an apparent break to think clearly". it's an interesting situation.
I will say it's a good thing there was some camera footage to show the initial aggressor was Dom. If anything Dom appears more as the First Degree type based on her actions that followed up.
