In the South-Western area of Germany where I come from it isn't uncommon to find remaining farm buildings in villages, up until after the second world war this was the normal place for farms. Only after the war ended farmers started to transition to farms outside of the villages, mainly because they had more space there and could modernize their farms. There is even a special word for these kinds of farms, they're called "Aussiedlerhöfe", translated to English it should mean something like "emigrant farm".
It can be done I run a Massey 2705 on my 455 claas unwrap snd everyone told me it would never work and this season will be seven years since I bought the baler
Very nice video. It is so interesting seeing the differences between how we farm here in central Kansas and places like what is shown here in Europe. A prime example is at the start of the video when it is obvious that the farmyard is basically in town - very different than most places in the US. Here our nearest neighbors are a half mile away and the farmyards are at least several acres in size. Always neat watching videos like this that show us how things are done elsewhere.
Yeah interesting difference between European countries like Belgium (the one and the video) and other tiny countries like The Netherlands where farmers simply don't have the space farmers in the US do. What I personally admire about farming in Europe though, is that because of the small space we have, we have become very efficient. We make do with what little space we have!
Men i remember when i was a kid the farmers in switzerland used to have those tiny bailers. Now i see mostly professional big machines on the fields that are contractors i believe. Crazy how the machines grow.
We too hire a contractor to make the bales but we still have our old, small Krone baler. We use it from time to time for really small fields as you can pull it with a small 60hp tractor. Modern big balers require at least 150hp at the PTO.
In Denmark at the farm where i buy my milk, the farmer only have a single Case IH Maxxum 115 with a Q6S frontloader, they have the local contractor do all the field work. They said that that is the cheapest way to run a farm, because you have no maintenance, insurance, diesel etc to pay for, and the contractor gets all that cheaper that the farmer can by themself.
I used to bale hay with a 1950's Farmall 560 and a Case small square baler. Used to have to drive so very slow to not overwhelm the baler. Is so amazing to me to see how fast that giant square baler can ingest that straw with no problem!
It still is a beauty, but to my opinion the original Klifa-exhaust pipe still gives the best sound. I always drove with everything closed, except the roof, gave the best soud (and least dust…). But there was nothing better than driving it down the road transporting potato’s (16 ton load), letting go before a dubble overpass, and then step on the gas as I went under and through…. Man, those were the best days!
I'm not a huge CIH fan, but that old girl sounds awesome. The plunger on that baler must be huge to shake the whole rig back and forth at a stand still. Also, being from the states, I couldn't imagine running that combo through those narrow streets. Unbelievable.
This was one of the starting tractors in FS2017. Love the sound of that pipe at full chat. So much better than today's tractors where the computers are so complicated only Bill Gates can work them along with those annoying emission controls lol.
@@boomer1049 Yeah, for later generations they also run Cummins engines in Europe and for some time now, a whole lot of FPT engines. Remember, the 1455 XL has its roots back to the 1455 non-XL from the late 1970's. Both the 1255 and 1455 was only manufactured in Germany with Neuss engines, including XL-models.
He's filling the cab full of dust with that back window open. I'm glad that's not me hahaha. Nice setup anyway. Bales look a little scruffy, I find that Claas 5300 makes the best looking bales.
So crazy to see a farm homestead in what appears to be a neighborhood, love seeing different ways of life around the globe. Badass tractor

Ironically the baler is worth way more than the tractor
I love the ‘Pure Sound’ vids!! Good to see you posting again. Cheers!!
As a Farm Simulator player this is the best video on TH-cam. How awesome it is is to see it done in real life.
Woeste machine! Prachtig geluid!
the sound of turbo engines is magical

Der muss doch weit über 200 ham. So ein Beast! 😍
Das mit den 200 würde ich auch vermuten. So ne Quaderballenpresse macht ja 200 PS problemlos klein
