    You've got to admire the authenticity of the person who wanted to have a sake label drawn by Ten so he had to fly him to experience all of those things.

      Speaking the truth brother, almost makes me want to tear up with the amount of admiration they have for him for just drawing a sake label. They recognize him as one of the greats.

    There was some miscommunication/ language barrier stuff when we discussed this project and it has come to my attention that this only ships inside of Japan, eve though I said in the vid it ships worldwide. Sorry bout that ya’ll. I’ll let u know if the situation changes :(
    Also ya’ll can chill wit the coronavirus comments. I took this trip a while ago. A month before the first reported case in China and 2 months before the first reported case in Japan. I have been home for 3 months and I’m not sick at all. I know most of u are joking around but some of you seem to be legit concerned.

      Ah that's a shame, I really was wondering as I love Sake, I would love to have one bottle with art of you on it.

    • @HenkJanBakker
      @HenkJanBakker 4 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      It is true that the factory only ships in Japan. Most factories do. But I'm pretty sure there will be specialized import/exporters that will be offering these at a significant mark up price. For instance, maybe ask Uwajimaya Seattle?
      Edit......
      Oh woops, just 100 bottles? Forget about it. They are probably sold as soon as they are made public.

      Well that's not the answer I wanted. I tried to buy a bottle but the "only in Japan" message made me pump the brakes.

    The paper you got from the shrine is usually for a specific purpose, in that case the success (good luck) of your collaboration with the Sake factory. After it served its purpose, you should bring it back to the shrine you got it from and pray to thank the gods. You should bring the paper back next time you go to Yamagata. Ask your Japanese friends for confirmation, but basically it is not yours to keep.
    Awesome Art, I am about to buy the Sake bottle ! And if some of your viewers want to buy one, they can use a service such as Buyee or Zen Market.

  • @markyang1924
    @markyang1924 4 ปีที่แล้ว +905

    I love how they adjusted the bottle design to your style, giving it a blue-ish colour, and having the paper kinda fade out. Looks really special.

    • @kinnikunky
      @kinnikunky 4 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      blue-ish? that HOT blue blew my mind! Xp It looked SO GOOD!

    • @markyang1924
      @markyang1924 4 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      @@kinnikunky Yeah, wish they had done so with the other designs too. Maybe they didn't to have their national artists' designs all have a more traditional appeal, while the only non-national (Western) design pop out more in a "exotic" way. 🤔 Anyway, look great as they are already 🤓

    i think it really is only right for you to feel the weight of it, you're participating in a peoples' (probably more than) decades old culture & tradition...
    your reaction to this project is just exactly how good pips should react, imo. and you, ten, are one good dude.
    must be really cool to be an artist, and if you're an anime fan, to be personally invited to japan & participate in some very private exclusive ceremonies...
    it also has me wondering that if you're a fan of anime... did you manage to go to places in japan significant to that? or there just wasn't enough time?
    either way, incredible honor. incredible job ya did, ten. BEAUTIFUL stunning work...
