The song is good, visuals are over the roof, and if this causes a controversy it's only more attention to them. And if they don't like the outcome of this comeback they have a stable concept and sound they can return to. This is actually a very nasty song about narcisism and the emptiness of showbiz. “Beyond your reach”. Everything must be be perfect. Flawless, spotless. Yet at times there are bruises and scars all over them. Bragging about money and cars. “Get the F out of my way”. “Drunk every day”. Every shot is lifted from a typical K-pop video. The video crew is seen all the time but they are just black silhouttes. At the end they are shown surrounded by a circular green screen becoming an artificial stage. Nothing is real in this world. Oh, and of course: OOTD means “outfit of the day”. That’s what everything is reduced to in this world. Holy hell. I only now noticed: when the video stops after the fight one of the personnel is holding a GUN! In the end someone is holding the camera. They take it away. The cameraman falls to the floor. Now he has no power over them.
This song have an industrial rock vibe like "Closer" from Nin Inch Nails or "Army Of Me" from Bjork (and thats really hardcore from the producers), with deeper synthetizers on hard beats from 90's. People who said this doesn't sounds "Rock" just haven't listen rock enough. BTW the video shows how fake is the industrie from the "Villain" perspective.
