Excellent video! Thank you! Is there a way to import MIDI into the SPD-SX and sync it to a backing track? The idea being; drummer starts backing track and that track initiates MIDI changes for the rest of the band (Kemper, amplifier sims, etc.). Thanks for reading!
Not that I know of, we use a set up in Ableton to start and stop tracks plus send all our program changes, each pad can be a cc message and that corresponds to a marker that’s in the set with the correct info, works great ,
Hi thanks for checking out our video on the SPDSX, I do start at different times in the track for Intros and transitions but you have to edit the track into parts, intro, last chorus or beat etc, it’s not on the fly, but have the tracks broken into sections allows you to play around and ext or cut the time between your tracks . Try to Place track sections on different pads keeping them in familiar placing intros pad 1, main part pad 4, outro pad 7, then work 3 tracks across the kit , save kit and do over form more tracks , name with abbreviation to remember what tracks in each kit , hope that makes sense 😊
Hi, thanks for stopping by, I believe you can use it for both, I have now moved to the SPD-30 for performing and changed the setup a bit so i haven't been able to check
Is it possible to play a backing track and play other pads as percussion at the same time? For example, i hit the backing track, it starts playing, and i want to be able to play timbales or conga sounds on the pad on top of the backing track.
I want to use the spd sx for live performances (orchestra, click and backing vocals). If I get this correctly, I save each song as a kit. Is there a way to go to the next (or previous) song with a simple button push? I don’t own an spd x yet and I want to be sure.
Yes you can use the + or - buttons to change kits quickly, one kit could be used per song if you have bells and whistles you want to play in the song, or some kits could be a song per pad. It’s really versatile!
You can grab a copy for windows here, I’ve not used it in Win but for Mac it’s a must! Thanks for checking out our video ! spd-sx-editor.com/download/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI6vrq95T98AIVcwp9Ch3X3wS6EAAYASABEgKMUfD_BwE

is it possible to have the option to start a backing track half way through or at different song sections on a spd sx?

@@DESTINEAKperfect cheers!
This only applies to the SPD-SX Pro, right? I don't believe that the SPD Editor program works with the SPD-SX (non-pro version)
