No Lupin Semolina available right now so I’ll continue to watch this recipe once that’s available to try to make this wonderful recipe.

Super easy! What do you think of adding lard to the flour? Regular tortillas use lard and cornmeal or flour. Would add good fat and maybe help them shape without the need for so much water? I would think it should help with taste and pliability, too.

Thanks so much for your recipes and your efforts to make recipes accurate. Sometimes depending on your environment you are cooking in, a recipe can go wrong. However your description of what the dough should feel and look like is very helpful. Practice makes perfect so no doubt there will be occasions to try again.

Oh and I also forgot to ask if you could include more of the carb count every time you make something honestly I like using cups and spoons for measurements since I don't have a scale yet maybe you could include both on some of your videos or all your videos thank you😊

  • @annabellahayes3227

You know I wish you could mention more on how to store them and how long they're good for because I only cook for myself and I don't need to eat all of them at one time lol I find that would be more helpful if you could include that in your videos thank you😊

Can’t wait to try. If you don’t put in the corn flavoring, does it taste more like a flour tortilla? Also have you ever frozen them? Thanks!

I LOVE that you have the "picture in picture" so we can see your beautiful face while you're talking AND see what you're doing from the top angle. Great video! Super helpful and can't wait to try these out! 🤤 Will these freeze well? If so, how do you store them?

I want to share this with you. A can of baby corn that orientals use is very low in carbs. I use those for my keto corn bread for flavor. So when I make my chili I make my baby corn corn bread. I put the baby corn in my ninja blender to liquify it. Then use it in my corn bread recipe. Think about it. I make my corn bread keto.

Those little cans of baby corn are low in carbs but have that corn flavor. They are probably not clean keto though, so if that's an issue don't use.

I love your channel and your videos are getting better and better. I have a question, I find that lupin flour has a slight bitter taste. I read somewhere that adding some apple cider vinegar helps to eliminate that. What do you think?

I am running into a problem here in the Netherlands. I would really like to try your recipes with Lupine flour because I don't like almond flour. But here in the Netherlands you can't find Lupine semolina flour. Is there anything else I can use instead? with kind regards Yvonne Bakker

Do they have a bitter taste 🤔 I read that you should mix with a different flour to avoid bitterness.

These look interesting. I wonder, I've made keto "corn bread" but I miss the corny rough texture, do you think the lupin semolina would help with that? Thanks!

I would recommend grinding up some baby corn. My fam buys it in the can. That has a lot fewer carbs than reg corn and may help!

I received my tortilla press and made these today, but sadly I must have done something wrong as the just crumbled. I used a food processor and weighed all my ingredients and let the dough rest. I tried adding more water, but that didn’t help. Has anyone made this with the same issue and did you find a solution? The ingredients and press were expensive so really would like to make it work. Thanks everyone!

    • @suziescrapbook3574

Maybe try adding a bit of lard and let the dough rest for 15 min?

After the first cooking, should we put them between parchment while in the warmer to eat and reheat an hour later? Or is it better to just let them sit in the warmer for an hour? Also do they fry up for crispy tacos too? Thanks. Can’t wait to try.

Hi Samyah, I tried to do this recipe but didn't have a food processor. It was an epic fail. Is there a way to do this without the food processor. Also, I'm not sure if I'm the only one but I would appreciate it you could put the standard measurements back and keep the metric measurements for those who may use those? If not, it's okay .... I'll figure it out. I love your channel, your energy and your journey. I also love tacos LOL. Darlene

    • @IDontSugarCoat
      @IDontSugarCoat  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Hi Darlene! I have made them by hand only once. The dough takes quite a bit of hand kneading before it gets to the right texture. So yes it can be done but a food processor makes this recipe much easier.
