I am in love with this guy!! How romantic!! However, the princess is a little too icy for me. Would be nice if she displayed a little bit more emotion.
Well this is her comfort after so much tragedy. Her mother committed suicide in front of her and she miscarriage the child she already love so much, her Emperor uncle death, her brother's humiliation, her father's crime and punishment. Hence, I can understand why she portrayed her character with iciness in this..,but it was also clearly seen his love was her comfort. It would be so unrealistic if she played this scene with such delights considering the tragedy she suffered.😢😭

Just to add on to what you said, the conversation they had when they were in the bridal chamber - how she admitted to him that she’s still hanging on to the last shred of her dignity because of her Yuzhang Wang Fei title. That, to me, was a very humbling admission, given her noble upbringing. In her own way, she does love him back. Just see how they look at each other without having to say anything and her naughty/mischievous smile is only reserved for him.

The Bible defined it best in "1 Corinthians 13:4-8". This drama portrayed that kind of love❤ so rare and hard to find in real life.😀

I wished I was as arrogant as her who helped saving innocent lives in a besieged city while stopping coups several times and going through her family members betraying her left right center after being pimped by her dad. After watching ep 44 and 45 I challenge you to find me a FL as mature and understable as Awu. She is not flawless but girl really teaching what is a really dignified mature Female lead.
