Many people are saying that Xiao Qi should have been Emperor as per the novel or as per his capabilities, but I think this was the best ending to this drama. Xiao Qi served enough for his nation, he survived again and again along with his wife, also he was never comfortable and happy in capital. His purpose was that the throne should be safe, which he fulfilled. He deserved the life he wanted in country with the woman he loves, having his own baby and all these kids around as his family. He's smart but not cunning, capable but not dominant, he deserves his own life..... I loved this ending. ❤😚

Zhou Yi Wei gave a remarkable interpretation of the Ningshou General Xiao Qi. He is a multi talent performer. His powerful eyes and smooth voice cut through the viewers attention. I watched his other drama/films especially with english sub. Also interviews, clips etc without english sub. Hoping we can see more with subtitles. Thank you.
ZYW looks so goooooooood as Lord YuZhang. Compared to the Great Shaolin, he s more on the slight chubby side. Both ZYW and ZZY a perfect loving couple.
The original story .., Lord Yuzhang became the emperor . Zitan never regretted ( too arrogant) but was just too ashamed to hold on to power. So he abdicated ( take note Princess Yuzhang helps him unto the end that I even think it’s not brotherly love but she’s still in love with him after all he’s her first love . First love never dies ). . He was very lucky he was not killed all because of the princess. Btw there is no other child actress, they still use the little girl who was little Awu before. I agree with others opinion .., the ending is rushed not so much interaction (dialogue) between ML and FL.
