- With the Pacers trailing entering the fourth quarter of Game 5 of the 1994 Eastern Conference Finals, Reggie Miller took over, scoring 25 points in the final frame en route to a game-high 39 as Indiana roared back for the win 93-86 at Madison Square Garden on June 1, 1994. He also had a few choice words for Spike Lee, who was taunting from the sidelines.

The Spike Lee aspect of this made it 10 times better.
I miss 90’s basketball so much
💯🎯 amen
Dude outside of games like this (which isn't many) no one miss 80 to 90 Point Games within a Jordan Rigged League by David Stern.
@@fantasymangacomicvisionary5688 No one? u don't know shit
"Spike who?" That line is as classic as his 4th quarter.
Found @ 6:22-6:24
Reggie was a killer on the court and was always a class act off of it. Millertime definitely put his handprint on 90s basketball
For real haha, that was sick. Also side note, man I love and miss seeing reporters being reporters (but still having fun with it) rather than trying to act like they're the player's best friend in interviews.
Reggie is on my all time trash talking team with Jordan, Bird, KG and Mutambo the coach is off course Red Aurebach
Spike Lee calling for a tech 🤣😂
whos here because pacers vs knicks are back 30 years later today
I’m here after Pacers beat Knicks in 7. Literally the past repeating itself
@@rishabiyer958 How if the Knicks won the series in 94? Its different now lol.
Nah. Who cares about the modern Narcissists Basketball Association? It's just a bunch of prima donnas jacking undefended 3s all day. I'd rather watch a local pickup game.
For my money this is the best era of NBA basketball. The mid 80s to the early 00‘s. It was the perfect blend of athleticism, skill, toughness, coaching, discipline, individualism blended with team play, guys played every night unless they were hurt. I miss it. A lot.
Reggie Miller is one of the most underrated players in history. Look at his consistency, year-over-year. He just was excellent from beginning to end, with almost no bad years, no dropoff. And he did it for damn near 20 years.
And all for the same team. That's very rare.
Spike Lee needed to Do the right thing and leave that Man alone.
Nah. You gotta fight the power
@@jakerojas4756😂 spike sat down cuz of that power
I was a teen when that movie came out. I laughed out loud on this one. Well done 👏🏾
Nah he got game
@@creydadj Elvis was a hero to most...
My favorite player EVER. I loved his tenacity, effort, EVERYTHING.
Miller Time! Not the beer.
I saw this when I was a kid... I remember that choke like it was yesterday 😆
As a bulls fan it would have been easier to root for Reggie Miller than those knicks teams. The bulls/knick, bulls/pacers were always great games to watch then. I wanted Reggie to get a ring with the pacers but the Lakers were to much.
Sickens me the kids dont know about Reggie Miller nowadays a damn legend and this is coming from a die hard bulls fan
😂 Like the man said, living in Knick’s fans heads rent free, just like tomorrow when we’re going to run your 6 men rotation tired asses out of the gym.
Doug Barker is as overrated as his pathetic New York Flopperbockers😂
What are you talking about. Everyone under 25 knows miller. Hes one of the best broadcaster bar none so that alone gets kids to look him up. You literally are making stuff you jaqass
Miller was the truth...and so was his sister!! I watched both of them play!!
Yeah, I'm from the crib. Came of Age in the 90s. So definitely an MJ/Bulls dude...but Reggie Miller was one of my faves back then
This when I became a Reggie Miller fan
I became a Reggie Miller fan when I could dominate with the Pacers on one of the early EA Sports basketball games. I could hit baseline 3s with Miller all day. I think it was Lakers vs Bulls game
the original step back 3 master
Step back with a kick you mean ?
@nikkosanchez209 they didn't protect shooters. You had to claw to survive on that court as a shooter
without having a gather step.
One of the best 3 point bombers to ever play the game.
Reggie Miller was my hero 💪
He’s still my hero.
Man whenever I bring up Miller, they always say I hate Reggie Miller lol. I think the dude was awesome personally.
Good choice. My hero was Patrick Ewing 😁
I liked Reggie and his sister Cheryl. He was doing Steph Curry before Steph Curry.
@@Leo-qe3glLiked Ewing too.
"You guys just set screens. I'm gonna make everything"
~ Reggie Miller
Reggie was in the zone
i always loved Reggie for this lol👍🏼
What a classic, lights out performance by Reggie. He was in another zone and Spike knew it.
Reggie was cold 🥶
If you think Pacers, you think Reggie Miller. Amazing.
Everyone talking about Reggie, no one’s talking about Ewing making a 3 at the end…
Reggie is such a legend! LOL at the feud with Spike LEE!
Spike who?
Miller Time
How many NBA Titles did Reggie Miller win?
Reggie Miller was such a BadAss of a player of hitting 3 point shots vs Spike Lee and the New York Kincks what a real legendary classic game from 1994 NBA playoffs
Before there was a S.Curry there was a Reggie Miller
As a lifelong warrior fan if we needed a game winner im giving the ball to Reggie over steph.
@@l.r9655 facts all day
You guys always making seem like he was the only one shooting threes back then. What about other guys like glen rice and mitch richmond. People only talk about regie, give some credit also to other players of that era!
@@albertovillalobosvazquez6676Make a video about it!
@albertovillalobosvazquez6676 but MillerTime was sooo damn clutch. I don't remember Glen Rice or Mitch Richmond hitting buzzer beaters in the playoffs every year
I grew up a pistons fan and Reggie was always fun to watch. I still love Prince’s block on him in 2004 but I enjoyed watching Miller play.
I was an 11 year old New Yorker with a Starks jersey. Reggie sent me to bed in tears that night.
😂😂😂😂😂 blame it on Spike
Madison Square Garden was a mad house during the 90s. Listen to Reggie Miller just deflated that crwd by the end of the game.
I remember watching this on TV live. What a game. This game broke Miller out as a superstar.
When Reggie or Michael came to town back then you knew it was gonna be awesome. The NBA on NBC was absolutely the best tv of the 90's. Marv and Matt together were awesome. It's always killed me that Marv had that sex scandal because it would've been great for him to call Jordan's last game instead of Bob Costas. Costas is a baseball dude all the way. Marv was the basketball calling daddy.
I remembered that game like it was yesterday. I went to the washroom and came back to find Indiana winning. lol
Reggie and Drazan shot in an era where everything was contested.
The Dragon!
Reggie!
Pat Riley was telling Spike Lee to STHU!
The Pacers today in game 4
Reggie Miller and Trae Young live rent free in the minds of Knick's fans
Don’t ever put Trae in same breathe as Reggie. Sorry
Reggie more than Trae, Trae has to do it more to even be mentioned as Reggie
And MJ 😂
@@CS-vk8bw especially in the postseason.
Add haliburton to the list
BASKETBALL! 1990s
Thank you Spike Lee for making one of the best nba po moment in history

LMAO
Imagine not knowing the Knicks won this series in 1994 and made the finals.🤣 Who bent who dummy?

Rumor has it Reggie hit a 3 in the 2024 playoff game between the Pacers and the Knicks.
I Love Reggie’s shooting form… What Reggie was so good at is coming off screens…
If you watch his feet, he has the ability to get his feet and his body in position to shoot and also he knows exactly where the 3 point line is and out of bounds line
Coming off screens your body is facing the screen and not the basket and to be able to stop turn get your body and your feet set while gearing up to shoot is alot harder that some people realize
This the game that still hurt the Knicks fans to this day
The game that followed still hurts Pacers fans to this day.
dude ppl laugh at this moment now because of what it led too... you ppl really need to get out of that fairy tail world you all live in
Who’s here because Halliburton clapped the Knicks and wore the choke Reggie Miller hoodie, and now you’re watching old clips
Just passed the 30th Anniversary of this game. Wow, time flies.
Reggie Miller didn't need a superteam like others.
I remember this game fondly! Televised on NBA on NBC too. Good memories. I’m a Knicks fan, but I was also a Reggie miller fan too. Go figure 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
I’m fortunate enough to have watched this game live.
The key to Reggie’s shooting ability is his feet.. without looking he knows exactly where the 3 point line is and the out of bounds line and somehow always gets his body squared to shoot… that’s not easy to do.. Reggie is the master of that
Reggie and Chuck are my all-time favorite players.
way i'm obsessed with this song. it's INSANE
The most entertaining quarter of basketball I have ever watched. Thank you Reggie Miller and Spike Lee for creating something special.
This was so FUNNY i laughed i watch it unfold
As a Rocket fan I was praying for them to play the knicks in the finals. Reggie Miller and the pacers were scary as shit!
Reggie Miller turned into Cheryl Miller mode and torched the Knicks. He was on fire
A star is born.....
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Reggie and Spike have been cool with each other for some time now?
Could you imagine how points Reggie would average today in a much less physical NBA?
30 years later ain't a thing changed
Yes it did, 30 years ago the Knicks won the series.
@@rickster1217 not what i meant at all
And Reggie did go heckle spike lee the next day on the set of spikes latest movie
Great times. When players took pride in defense and felt freedom to express emotions.
My cat Smokey hangs her tounge out like Miller lol ❤
I Remember this like it was lastweek.... Loved every bit of it. Watching Spike sit there while giving Miller motivation to bitch slap the knicks... Spike Still hasn't learned his lesson... 30yrs later!
This is went the sport is amazing.. when someone hits the zone
That Spike!!!
This was even better than the 8 points in 8.9 seconds. The Zone don’t play that.
Ahmad must've been somewhere watching the Bulls game " u guys really came out ready to play "
Shit got dark for spike quicc Ong 🤦🏾♂️🤣
It’s crazy how many times The Pacers and Knicks have played in the Playoffs
I love this game. The game makes me feel alive. Cut me open, I bleed basketball 🏀 .
cool story, I'm betting you bleed regular blood
Miller Time!
I didn't know Cheryl Miller's little brother played basketball
Man, they don't do post game interviews like Ahmad Rashad anymore.
Dude, I never noticed that before. Look at the face of the woman sitting next to Spike trying not to laugh lol I wonder if they're actually there together cause that would be great.
And then the Pacers go on the choke game 6 at home... never quite enough to win a title.
Same for the Knicks
Must be knick fan.
Knicks were never good enough either…. and Reggie didn’t have any good enough players with him until 1998, when they had to play against Jordan…and they still almost beat Jordan.
Great game!! Who won the series ?
Jaz the rapper brought me back here lol
Yet people say Klay Thompson is better??? yeah right
klay would have never been able to do this by himself... he would have needed Steph to distract the defense
Patrick Ewing pulled a Joker with that three.
I can read lips and I think Reggie asked Spike Lee if he wanted to get ice cream after the game.
the GOAT
Reggie was playing against Spike lol, not the Knicks. 😂
2:34 Spike - well, I poked the bear
30 years later, y’all chocked 😂
They talked about it in a Seinfeld episode, but Kramer was involved.
History has repeat itself under different circumstances.
Who's here watching this amazing history game with the currently playoffs btwn these two great teams, I wonder who is going to come out winner, I see game 7 loading so far ☺️💬💬💬💬💬
This put the Pacers in a position to upset the Knicks and win the series. It forced New York to have to win at Market Square Arena to win the series and close it out at Madison Square Garden in a Game 7. This was the same game previous year that New York lost to the Bulls, due to MJ, Pippen and Grant's defensive plays on Charles Smith.
Reggie Miller was the face of the Pacers then. Those 1990's Pacers teams were pretty good.
One of my favorite moments as a teenager watching basketball, was reggies "push off" of jordan in the playoffs
Reggie always looked like the last months of Freddy Mercury but he could shoot
I was #31 in every sport as a kid because of Reggie Miller
As a Knicks fan I hated reggie miller so much back then. Today I know he was great.
Just watching how the game in general was played is so different than today. Now that all 5 can shoot the three the floor is so spread open. Watch when shots go up here: at least 4-6 guys throwing elbows for inside position to grab the rebound. You don’t see that anymore. If you ask me the three pointer ruined the game. Change the rules: no more than two guys permitted outside of the 3 point line at the same time on offense or it’s an illegal offense. No more wide open threes for everyone: make your shooters have to fight through the center and forwards to get open, centers and forwards should be positioned inside the three point line and in the paint at all times. Bring back old school post-ups and jockeying for position inside for the boards. Real basketball.
THIS was playoff basketball
Reggie shot great but two of those twos would he have stepped back or slide the foot 2 inches back for 3s. Thats two points, only half way through
Riggie is my favorite player. No one can match the attitude, love it.
This is one of the best performances ever in the Garden, Reggie Miller has Spike Lee looking stupid and the Knicks fans was mad at Spike for messing with Reggie Miller 😂😂😂😂
Reggie has his foot on the line alot.
2:33 What did he say to SL?
He said “shut the fuck up bitch!” Really?! U were unable to read his lips. 😂
I miss those jerseys.
Reggie such a big man picking on spike
