- We spend a long weekend away along the south coast at Arundel and Chichester. The scenery is amazing but we've noticed that things are getting expensive.
We aim to publish a video each week, every Sunday at 4pm (UK time).

Hi Ads and Zoe. Great to see you both out and about again. It is now 23.40hrs and well past my bedtime. We are wild camping too and currently parked up, free of charge on the Esplanade in Porthcawl, South Wales. It's amazing. We are making our way to Tenby. Three days wild is the max for us. We need a site tomorrow to replenish the fresh, release the waste, and to enjoy a proper 'Non cramped, 'Van' shower !! Best Wishes both, Dave and Soph XXX

Hi, good to see the parking in Arundel. I love the idea of the "bring your own food" pub. We may try that soon. You later mentioned a site you were staying at, was that in Chichester? Good to see Herman back on the road.
The campsite we stayed at was the Chichester Camping and Caravanning Club site, Fiona.

@@HermanHitstheRoad that carpark sounded like an extortionate price & especially galling being able to see toilets but not access them. I have a Radar key but even that doesn't grant universal access.

The ferry was more like a ride into Mordor with the dark clouds approaching 🤣
That car park looks like a real find. Might make use of that on my way to the south coast in a few weeks time. Shame it’s entrance shuts so early might be a bit of a rush.
If you get there late, Richard you might be able to find a space along the road that is just outside the entrance.
£27 each is extortion when compared to NT prices; we have to keep the aristos in the comfort !

Looks like you two had a good time. I thought it was funny that there was all that room in the car park where you stayed. But there were 2 motorhomes in the corner parked very close to each other. Oh, and you are right. £27 each to look round a castle is a complete rip off.
Thanks Andrew. Those two motorhomes (there were 3 in the end) were together, they knew each other. Very nice people too

@@Andy.Gledhill.Models. it's fire officer's advice, mainly aimed at campsites & festivals but makes sense anywhere.
Amazing isn’t it, we live in Pulborough only 10 miles up the road from Arundel and have never visited Arundel castle, likewise it’s only 17 miles to Chichester we’ve been there hundreds of times and never visited the cathedral.
As a reasonable local, Bosham is pronounced Bosam.
I can say the same about where I live, Charlie. You never seem to visit your local area do you? 🤷♂️

Hello Ads and Zoe, Chichester is only 1/2 hour away from us, but we’ve never done that bike ride, we must do it, what Campsite did you stay in? Love the car park in Arundel we will be trying that one out when we’re next over that way.😊

I lived in Chichester Harbour (on a boat) for 3 years. Just to let you know that the locals pronounce Bosham as "Bozzam"!

Hymer 564....brings back memories.......I've had a Hymer Camp 55, a 564, then a 574, then another 564, then a MKI 694, then a MKII 694....now a very nice, small Pilot D34.

@@HermanHitstheRoad They say it takes a few motorhomes until you find the layout you like. I'm a slow learner......This one is for keeps though.......small (probably the smallest I've ever had, but really functional). Not a lot of storage though....but they're all compromises.
