A death scene would be missing for Marguerit. Imagine trying to steal her custom PRAWN Suit only to have her appear behind you, punch you to the ground, and finally have her pet pounce on you to finish the job.
How did you get the ice worm animations? I finished the game today, and never seen an ice worm! I did everything for it to find me. I scanned a dead one, explored the arctic spires, made noise, etc. I even used the command that makes all the ice worms exit the ground and go back but nothing happened. Is it just me?
I'm surprised you never encountered one as they tend to chase you pretty well in the Arctic Spires. The death animations only occur at low health though (20-30ish health or less) and they otherwise just attack and hit you for 20-30 health.
I think the best ones are squid shark and snow stalker. They don’t just devour you in one gulp. They take multiple bites, slashes and you can hear the character screaming and struggling as you get chomped
I wish that the team made it to where you could hit a certain button (like x) as fast as you could for a chance to fight off and escape some of the kill animations, like where the leviathan grabs you and holds you for a second, that would be cool.
Thanks! I usually add time stamps to help but usually folks are going to want the cool deaths first, especially since Subnautica is pretty non-linear in what you opt to do.
It's amazing how much effort went into the various death animations of the Worm but the actual physics of it popping out of the ice is god awful. You just get knocked off your snow fox if it emerges within a 100 metre radius
I think the only creatures that managed to kill me were the ice worm and snow stalker, the ice worm did a dive attack before I managed to get into the ion portal and the snow stalker got me in the back despite holding a flare.
Good luck with the game! One thing to keep in mind is that staying at full health generally allows you to take a hit from anything (and the reinforced diving suit halves damage) so you're generally fine if you keep some spare first aid kits with you. Then it's a matter of potentially being spooked by things you didn't notice.

Flowey?
@@remekmix spikey trap i belive
Literally Everytime she dies:
Huh eh ugh aaaaaah!!
And you would react how to being grabbed and chomped by a squidshark?
by yelling “damn thats hot but im not gay dude”
3:50 Those are some HOT jazz hands I tell ya whut.
Whenever I play (I'm on hardcore rn) I imagine AL-AN having a mental breakdown with me together.
Good luck with Hardcore! I'd personally want something more like NES Friday the 13th: "You and your AL-AN are dead. Game over."
@@CrankyTemplar "Congrats You and the Alien who trusted you with their life are dead and you might have caused the extinction of an entire species because of your INEFFICENT and WEAK human body.... Game Over"
Also thx. Almost done anyways. I just have to not forget that I am in Hardcore...
respect to the commitment of letting yourself get eaten a whole lot for science.
Jesus, ice worm is intense. I'm convinced one of the devs is just insane and loves killing off characters in this very specific fashion.
0:15 this is what I like to call “unbirth”
XD
NO
why do their mouths look like that
@@anidiot4992 well i heard someone say its their stomach
DO NOT CALL IT THAT.
It’s so creepy seeing your character try to squirm and fight back. It just shows how defenseless you are against these creatures.
Accualy, none of those creatures kill the player instantly, Robin is surprisingly good at fighting back
Ice Worm Spin Death is basically:
"Oh? You like these rocks? How about you get a closer look!"
I love the rock puncher thinking about it for a second and then just bitch slaps them
The cool thing is, if you look at the leviathans in below zero, then compare them to warpers, you can kind of see where the parts were acquired for the warpers. Out of game though, the leviathans were probably made to resemble some of the odder walks of life in the original game.
2:33 ow he got decked like he was fighting saitama I just realized it's slightly red and yellow too 🤣
Ok but that void one was terrifying. The way it goes silent for a bit after attacking, as if giving you the chance to flee, only to turn around, roaring, and kill you. Chills.
The death animations may be scary, but it’s so easy to dodge and avoid those creature that it’s very rare to have that happen
That's probably why I'm not as scared of this game, feels too easy to escape
I feel like it’s way easier to escape in the first game.
@@kingofhearts9020 honestly im terrified of reapers and the damn squid lmaoo
these creatures dont give off as much of a predatory vibe as the reaper did, and i think its because the reaper was designed in such a feral way. loud ass roar, can't see him well due to the fogginess, jumps out at you from the dunes.. a lot of the creatures in this game don't protect areas the way the others did. The shadow leviathan is the only real exception. I put my base right by the chels that circle the purple area and never had a single problem. easy to get away from em.
@@spookiuwu768 It's easier to escape enemies in the first game but in below zero most of the enemies don't spot you as easily.
You can tell that the devs cared far more about the ice worm than the rest of leviathans
2:16
"Ayo get off"
"Boys look he got jimmy!"
"Get em!"
She took their baby? Is that way they're attacking her?
The death animations are basically different levels of vore.
I was afraid of playing this game because a friend I know developed a vore fetish over this game.
@@yoboikamil525 That's because he's bad at the game. You'll be fine.
@@thebloxconductor1870 i won't test that
@@yoboikamil525 Once you've beat the original game, you'll be good at it enough to not get eaten constantly, or he already had it, kept feeding himself to leviathans and lied. The game's very easy once you learn the basics.
@@thebloxconductor1870 i don't really want to touch that subject with him again I guess I'll just accept it because he's a fun friend to play games with
Ah, yes
Watching this before bed. Great idea.
I also made a void chelicerate hotel as the perfect place to sleep in comfort with them clipping through the walls.
Me too
1:33 ...Did the Ice Worm just pull a Loony Tunes Gag????
I think I've died twice in Subnautica: Below Zero. Once to hypothermia, and once to asphyxiation, both were because I wasn't paying attention.
It’s funny how when ur dying, you HAVE to get out of your SeaTruck.
👁️⚓
Bro the way the squidshark breaks robins legs is just brutal.
1:10 aww, big puppy! Lemme give you a hug-aaaAAAAAAAA
**pengwings killing you because of you picking up a baby one**
Me: **Super Mario 64 flashbacks**
MAN, just realized how horrifying subnautica is
A death scene would be missing for Marguerit.
@@CrankyTemplar well, I was either insanely lucky or my game was bugged I guess.
How the hell did it not spawn to me every 20 seconds that bastard keeps popping up
"Dying to thermal lily must suck"
Me imagining Robin getting cooked by upside-down grill:
All these death animations for the Ice worm... something where you have to try really hard to even lose hp against.
I think the best ones are squid shark and snow stalker. They don’t just devour you in one gulp. They take multiple bites, slashes and you can hear the character screaming and struggling as you get chomped
I can't believe I just spent over five minutes of my life watching ways a video game character dies for *fun.*
When you get killed by a symbiote, it should give you an achievement just called, “seriously?”
Keep up with the good work lad
I wish that the team made it to where you could hit a certain button (like x) as fast as you could for a chance to fight off and escape some of the kill animations, like where the leviathan grabs you and holds you for a second, that would be cool.
There sure is a disconcerting amount of deaths here that involve swallowing when the creature would probably tear the character apart first...
You sir deserve a medal for getting into a mouth of a leviathan
Rock puncher: saitama
Ice worm: me when i eat pop corn
Squidshark:NOM NOM NOM
Quality content, no bullshit. Approved.
Thanks for your kind words!
Sea dragon leviathan should’ve had a unique death too. Seeing as it instant kills the player, maybe it can swallow you hole, or bite you in half.
It used to eat the seamoth in one bite
Bite you in half! That’s a little violent for the rating of the game
you could make the argument that every single death by animals in this game is elaborately vore
True
Everyone who play SubNautica: aaah!
Me:
What a deadly fastinating creature
0:12 i love how the vent garden is just chilling while watching a human being eaten by a giant sea creature lol
I didnt realize the ice worms had such cool animations. When i found them i said fuck that and didnt go back until i had an upgraded prawn suit
Dude I love the rock punchers, they're acting all nice but then two seconds later.. *BOP*
Can we take a sec to appreciate the fact that he put all the cool deaths at the beginning instead of making us wait
Thanks! I usually add time stamps to help but usually folks are going to want the cool deaths first, especially since Subnautica is pretty non-linear in what you opt to do.
Bro the squidshark death is just wild!
Alot more brutally, which makes sense as your given more of a character to feel for when she dies
And this is why I don't like the ocean
same with me
Fall damage: you sure bout that?
That Ice worm spin death anim is the most confusing one for me. How the hell was she flying?
She thought happy thoughts.
bruh
The shadow leviathan makes me uncomfortable like not the creature like it's death animation
Below Zero death animations are so gruesome…
Then there's the crab
It's amazing how much effort went into the various death animations of the Worm but the actual physics of it popping out of the ice is god awful. You just get knocked off your snow fox if it emerges within a 100 metre radius
Geeez they really went all out with a lot of these death animations compared to the first game. That ICE WORM, JESUS!!
0:40 Aw no, now I know what its like to be the ghost from pacman
I think the only creatures that managed to kill me were the ice worm and snow stalker, the ice worm did a dive attack before I managed to get into the ion portal and the snow stalker got me in the back despite holding a flare.
In my first playthrough I only died to a Snow Stalker in the Ice Worm area as I stupidly got cornered by a pack of them.
I drowned 2 times in a roll 💀
I hate the rebreather location on Below Zero
3:42 the way her arms move around🤣
Rock puncher is most likely based off the mantis shrimp
I haven't played below zero but wow the animations got more violent and frequent. Also why so many for the ice worm
Because ice worms are cool.
The ocean and the unknown terrify me, but I got Subnautica: Below Zero because it looked cool. Getting myself prepared haha
Good luck with the game! One thing to keep in mind is that staying at full health generally allows you to take a hit from anything (and the reinforced diving suit halves damage) so you're generally fine if you keep some spare first aid kits with you. Then it's a matter of potentially being spooked by things you didn't notice.
@@CrankyTemplar Love the game so far. Granted, I’m still only in the shallower parts of the ocean and I’m a bit scared to go out into more open water. Literally had to close my eyes at one point and just go lol
Below zero is pretty tame compared to the first game, the first game is a horror game in disguise.
The fact that they added getting eaten animations freaks me out. In the original you just black out man, good ol days
Imagine being slapped to death by Pengwings... Evil, yet cute little creatures.
And Ice Worm be like „Yeet and Eat”
After watching all the gruesome deaths from the leviathans and other creatures, I laughed hard at the rotten food death because I just imaging Robin falling over limp after taking a bite.
