It's crazy that there's "fans" of metal that are upset that a lead singer went to prison. Like c'mon kids.

I think they should look into it and react accordingly. They just read the headlines and don't look past it. When someone got hurt in his audience he LITERALLY went to help them! Yes he puts on the rockstar shit and yes he's lived a wild life but what person this deep in the music industry let alone rockstar scene wouldnt? He's not crazy and he's not a demon. Maybe he's an asshole but that's self admitted and not in the way normal people are

i really admire how R has evolved and he is open about his past in hopes that it helps fans etc learn from the past.

He can’t even admit the role he played in the kids death. He was 22 fighting in a HS parking lot. Skipped bail, dirty drug tests. He went to prison for that…

He's 100% right about prison. I felt the same way when I got out. You learn to sleep without sleeping. Prison isn't Iraq, it's still combat though. Hand to hand combat. Everything's up close and personal. He's right about taking sides with your race in prison also. You don't have a choice.

I did time with him in Nevada & didn't run with my race, I ran with my gang from Chicago in there, everyone's paths are different, I was the only white in a black gang that was allowed to cell & sit with the whites if I wanted to, because they knew I was a product of my environment, almost all whites in Chicago are in gangs, or were in the 80s/early 2000's

I know exactly what you mean. It is a scary situation and i have ptsd from being in prison asleep. Almost 3 years. I friggin hated it. I don't ever want to go back. I also had COVID with pneumonia in too if it while there. That scared me even more. Thought i was going to die in prison without saying goodbye to my friends and family. So i know what you went thru. Thank you for your music. That's my escape out of my head use listening to you. Love you

I used to think ptsd was only related to the wars, until years later I thought about the habits I have since being down and the way I lived my life everyday that sent to that place. It then hit me that I probably had ptsd, my wife now understands why I behave the way I do in crowded places or why I'm pretty antisocial and prefer to stay home with all the doors and gates locked. Fun right

I hope you're doing well. My sister has CPTSD. Not from her time in jail but due to abuse she suffered courtesy of her mother. To this day she prefers to isolate herself from people and not go anywhere beyond work and school. She's in therapy which has been helpful for her.

I don’t typically care for self help books as they are usually generic platitudes , but one book I read when I was young really connected me to ptsd and physical things I live with. It’s called the body remembers. ✨🫶🏻✨

Try marrying a narcissist and/or psychopath.. actually don’t . If you are with a person like that very long, the recovery from cptsd is very difficult and some people never do recover . .. anything that causes repeated trauma can cause CPTSD . In fact , it most likely will. It’s a cruel world and we ought try to love one another

In a scenario where someone lost their life, and there was premeditation of violence on his party’s behalf by setting up a fight in an isolated area (dessert). He was guilty by association for the violent crime, and having the weapon on him could be argued he was premeditating assault or battery, possible attempted murder as well and brought along a weapon that is illegal to have within your possession to begin with (brass knuckles). Him being a first time offender saved him because any previous charges. and he could have easily faced a 3-6.

I'm a survivor! My husband, EXhusband, actually tried to kill me. Told the responding officers that's what he was trying to do. That was 1997, but I remember it like yesterday and there's nothing in my life it didn't affect. Couple that strangulation to the point of no visible signs of life, with being stabbed by a stranger, then shot at by someone who was supposed to be a friend... Yup. There are plenty of triggers and lots of habits born of PTSD.

Yes me too ! The worst about that is that tv shows or movies portray prisons like cool places.
I'm french and I know in our country prison is less extreme. I have a friend who works there, and racial fights seems not to exist in our prisons. I mean, it's not common

I don't know if you will see this, Ronnie, but if you do it would be so cool for you to react to "Grateful" by Flawdzilla. You reacted to his, and Meaux's(his GF), reaction to Voices in my Head. I think he'd be so stoked to see you react to his song.

His one crime was possession of brass knuckles at the time of the fight. He was there to protect his friend. The man did nothing morally wrong to get to prison, and that was the only crime he ever committed
