I was stationed at Fort Carson for 3 and a half years. We fell in love with Colorado Springs and Colorado. We're originally from extreme northern California. When close to my ets date we wanted to stay but with my father in law's health deteriorating we decided to move back to California. I found a job with a school district as a mechanic and now have a Calpers retirement. When I retire at 62 we want to move back.
I’ve been on the fence with moving to Colorado for awhile now, everyone I’ve talked to has said that California is a failing state and to get out while you can
I’m currently in Orlando. While a lot of folks would love to live here, it is really unbearable in the summers (mid-90s temps and humidity) and it rains every day in the afternoon - which turns the area into a steam bath. The winters are my favorite here (but I’d rather be skiing) - basically like everyone else’s fall - cool nights and warm days (most of the time). Moving this month to Colorado Springs into an apartment until our house in Wolf Ranch is built.
This is California now, expensive, high taxes, unemployment, bad traffic, business closing. It's very sad to see the changes. Coloradans are quiet, humble, easy going, but many have moved away because they cannot afford the state anymore. All these realtors encourage people to move here because they are struggling financially and they are only thinking about making money. In 2022 alone, 45K californians moved here. The reason why we don't want them here is because they are imposing the believes and politics that caused their state to collapse. People used to drive fast in the highway only, in the streets people were so polite, now there is so many accidents and speeding, the fatality rate has gone up so high, we don't recognize the place. Don't trust realtors, they only boost the best and they don't tell you the truth, like insurance cost and nuclear power dangers in the north part of Denver. He is very bias as he states it.
Soooo biased. Calling Colorado more beautiful when northern Cali has snow and cold and more options of scenery, more biodiversity and a tie for stuff to do is laughable. This video is hilarious.
Very wealthy people that just want it all. Also, there are actually nice parts of California (outside major cities). With that, Colorado is probably better for most folks as long as you can skip the beach time.
If you're visiting Colorado and you live in California that's fine but do not move from California to Colorado we are overflowing with Californians and Texans

try San Luis Obispo California
CO supplies water to most of the western states, including CA. CO has more drinkable water, oceans don’t count as having water.

Nobody, not a single person, should live in California. Stop the cap
