I love this game. We all know there is a lot of things to work on and to fix but in my opinion the most important thing is DNA of TDU games is here!!! This is solid base to do great game. This game feels to me like best present for my birthday. I dreamed so long about TDU 2 remaster or just option to play tdu 2 on Xbox series. Dream come true. This is beta and they trying their best to do. House for example will be added after game lunch. Some players expect from TDU game tuning cars straight from NFS games or car list from Forza but I love fact they don't even try to get there for every player. They know what they need to bring from previous games and even they trying to do more like manually spoiler control for example. From what we saw like 3 months ago with 30fps and no smoke or 1 traffic car for a 5 minutes of gameplay. And it isn't even newes version. I believe in this game. It's the best sounding game in the car franchise in my opinion. I know maybe one or two cars sound off but still. There isn't copy and paste like in... You know 😂😂😂 Map fells empty without pedestrians but I still love millions of details on street like chairs, flowers etc. And last. Physics. I really like the physics. It looks weird because of camera movement but cars actually feels good and every one is different and You can definitely feel that, and fact you can't go off-road with every car and go through every tree and bus stop is great. Now a really good drivers will be best because a race line not a short cuts. Love video btw. See You in the game brother! ❤

the driving physics of tdu are incredibly unresponsive though. if you start sliding or losing control there is 0 recovery. cars feel very floaty in general
@@romie-777the main issue for that is that the steering angle for all cars seems to be locked at 45 degrees currently which is way to low. That might be correct for cars like the Apollo IE and Paganis and so on, but most cars have a higher max steering angle irl (closer to 60 degrees)
FYI, custom tuning setups will be unlocked at level 20. Demo is capped to level 16 sadly.
Those engine notes and anti-lag are amazing it's about time games started focusing on the sounds instead of the old buzzing hoover sound we used to get..

Graphics look pretty good even though they mean nothing in a racing game. The sounds, user interface, handling, and terrain are the only things that matter. They honestly did a pretty damn good job considering the fact that this is a AA Title game.

Honestly after seeing the demo I can say I’m sold on it already. We have to remember this is a AA studio, but from everything I’ve seen so far they nailed the TDU feel. With post launch support this can easily be the shakeup the genre we all love needs.
They have not nailed the TDU feel yet. Still a lot of features missing or yet to be added. Properties, real estate agencies and house tours, travelling, clubs (did they add it in this game?) etc etc

Just because it says Test Drive on the label doesn't mean it's Test Drive inside. For me, what I've seen and played so far has very little to do with Test Drive.

Considering this demo is an very old version (confirmed by the developers themselves), it's impressive how many things are already better than TC Motorfest and even Forza
One of the cool things about TDU 2 was the weather system. It had a natural progression to it, with the storm clouds slowly rolling in leading to a drizzle and building up to a full-on storm. It would slowly, gradually dissipate leaving puddles behind. The whole process lasted about 40 minutes. It's the most realistic I've seen in any racing game.
i mean it's definitely not bad but there are still many things that are much needed before launch, which means that we'll have to wait 3 months before we actually judge the game.......................
3 months isn't even enough to address all these things... It still needs a good 12 months of work to be nowhere near as The Crew Motorfest standards.
@mpro.98 crew motorfest is an AAA game. TDUSC is an AA game which means the team and budget is way smaller. It's very impressive that the tdusc devs managed to make a map bigger and denser than crew motorfest's map

Honestly graphic is the least important thing in a game imo, you play the game for its gameplay mostly and not for its appearence.
Ofcourse if it looks good you can appreaceate it even more but the game is called so because it's the gameplay what matter the most.
So yeah, it's very impressive that an AA company managed to make a title that close to an AAA company like Ubisoft.
The only problems i see so far is the optimizzation (but that's something that even triple A companies struggle with sometimes), almost unexisting traffic and peds and FPS issues.
Inspite it the game is well made and i got a good feeling about the final version.
@@Kortex_Racing To me there is no such thing as triple A or whatever that is nowadays. It’s not because they are fewer to work on the game than the « others » that means it can’t be as good. Many independent games have proven to be as good as if not better than games developed by super big brands in the industry. For TDUSC to be able to keep up with the most famous franchises we all play they need to be competitive. They got enough time to learn from the « mistakes/flaws » of Forza Horizon or The Crew and their OWN experience of open world to bring something absolutely refreshing and interesting this year. I played the demo and I wasn’t surprised at all. Car sounds are alright and the famous TDU features are part of the game. The rest is just so inconsistent like the animation of the steering wheel for instance (as many trashed Forza because of their 90 degree animation they could at least made it more realistic). The car selection is from 10 years ago, like that stupid first gen Nissan GT-R. Why would they not include the latest model ? It’s just recycled stuff from older titles. I’m not even talking about the graphics because I find it crazy to have optimisation issues when the game looks like it’s from 10 years ago…

I really hope that at launch this game is actually good and it doesn't suck and eventually flops. Forza Horizon really needs a real competitor so the Forza devs can step up their game and make a game that's actually good. I would love to see interior customization and car functions like the lights, hazards, windows and etc in Forza. I don't care if they have to cut two thirds of the car list for that to happen. I just want cars that actually feel like real cars.
Imagine how sick it would be to recreate those old Porsche interior that are all one color and actually being able to choose the amount of color you have in the interior like The Crew Motorfest. Thngs like that would make Forza Horizon 100 times better.
This game will not be a Forza competitor, at least not in terms of sales. It's a niche game from a small studio - it will have a very tiny playerbase compared to Forza.

Played the demo for 7 hours straight yesterday, I had a lot of fun exploring the areas, racing and looking at some cars. It definitely reminds me a lot of the first 2 games, where I spent countless hours on when I was a kid. It does need some work but I really hope the full game will be good. TDU 1 was the very first game that I picked out myself at the store when I was 7 years old, I had an Xbox 360 with a wheel setup. I spent SO many hours on the first game its crazy, I replayed it a lot of times.

I see all the car enthusiast are in this comment section. I’m glad “Fast Lane Gaming” sees the vision that this small developer is trying to achieve. This game has massive potential and this is only a old demo build of the game. In this old demo build you can see the car sounds are second to no modern day racing game. It’s hitting above its rank this is quite literally the most accurate sounding car game to date.
I don’t know how these devs did it but these car sounds are so good. I know what majority of these cars sound like stock they’re accurate. Another thing can we please stop bashing new games especially games trying to bring something new to the genre. There is nothing in this dead car racing genre on console. That can bring a similar experience to this game besides GTA 5 and that’s not even a car game.
Then we make videos years later talking about how underrated a game was for example “Driveclub”. I didn’t even get to play that game I just seen how underrated it was watching viral videos about that game. The older generation before me bashed it so hard Sony canceled it forever. So all I did was binge watch videos on it for years I don’t want the same fate for this game. I’m just so tired of pretty graphics festival racers.
They definitely need to optimise the hell out of this game before launch but idk how they’re going to do that in 3 months.
Forza Horizon 5 and The Crew Motorfest were not optimized at launch and they’re both big budget triple A studio games. They didn’t let people play a free demo 3 months before the games released.
They took people’s money and it took them 6 months after release to fix lag, dsync and people completely disappearing while driving in lobbies. People just don’t hold the same standards to big budget triple A games.
That are full released games but have so much to say about a demo and I do agree it needs to be optimized. It’s just nowhere near the same complaints. When Forza Horizon and The Crew have already taken your money and choose to fix their game 6 months afterwards.

I must say I’m quite impressed with the sounds! Especially the 4 cyl cars, they usually don’t sound that good in games. IMO the graphics look very last gen, fh5 and motorfest graphics are miles better. I hope the actual release version looks better!
The game is using an old engine. Again, its not a AAA title, so keep the limited resources in mind. This game doesn't need to be the best. It just needs to be successful enough in the long term, so that the next one can be developed with more ressources (like a new game engine)

@@KurumaDesigns I also have AC and without mods it definitely doesn't look better than SC. The lighting here is way better. The main issue currently is optimization which in a lot of cases means that you have to turn down the settings. Also the most important graphic setting is to put FSR (I think that's what it is called) into temporal AA. Without it the game looks very grainy and if you turn it or dlss into active it makes the game blurry af, even in quality mode.

@@redhunnid5142no gt7 sounds are better in general, some of the sounds is better in tdu but not overall, and when we talking cockpit sounds gt7 beats pretty much everything on the market, chasecam sounds can at times be lacking in gt7.
@@MagicAyrtonforevergt7 have better shifting, in gt7 every car shifts like they do in real life. Many other racing games the shifting for dct is just to slow, and this suffer from that as well, but the worst is most likely fm 23

This game definitely needs the features from TDU 2 and TDU 1 to be an actual successor to the TDU 2, like car wash, clothing stores around the map, being able to rent cars, flying to a different island and shipping your car there, good cutscenes and details, real estate agents, properties, police cars being able to pull you over, crew houses either garages and special cars inside the garage, that you unlock after leveling up with your own crew etc…. I feel like this game needed another year or 2 in development, I love Test Drive, but I didn’t enjoy the SC like that at least the demo, 20 degrees steering rotation, online only, no clothing stores around the map, mobile game menus and cutscenes, waiting 10 min just for a race to start because game thinks I would want to play all the races online (and no one joins of course) I hope developers are going to add some of these features that makes the Test Drive a lot more unique than the other competitors on the market before the release or at least in the future updates or dlcs, because right now, imo it feels like just a normal open world racing game, not an actual Test Drive game. I would rather to play the Test Drive Platinum mod.

Question. Will it be a standard always online game or will it provide the opportunity to play offline as well? The way things are going, I wouldn't want that same GTA V scenario to happen where the story mode gets forgotten and all the releases are on Online only. I wouldn't want to be paying for my internet and on top of that a subscription just to be able to play the game if everything is online.
Since it's an MMO. Then yeah, It'll be "The Crew" all over again with the always online. Let's just hope Nacon/Kylotonn didn't axe this one out in the next 10 years.

@@joescivic I no longer rely on "possibilities" or half-hearted promises. If the game gets an offline mode at some point, I'll consider buying it.
GTA is totally different it has to be offline because it actually has a story mode. That’s like Spiderman Miles Morales or God Of War being online those are complete story mode games. GTA and GTA online are two totally different games you can buy them separately.
GTA online just uses the story mode map as a foundation to build upon their online world but they’re not related at all. TDU has never had a completely separate story mode no where near as in depth as those games. I wouldn’t even call them story modes at all.
It’s always been primarily a online experience the only reason it had offline back in the day was because of limitations in technology. They’ve always wanted this game to be a online experience MMO where they build upon the foundation. Then add new content over the years like a GTA online since the original games they just needed the funding and tech.
I might buy it my only cancern is the forced pvp in the races. If the devs can allow for racing just ai i will buy it.

Test drive unlimited solar crown sound v8 on mustang and mercedes benz far away from forza horizon 5 😈 I can listen to all day😌 turbo and supercharger and anti lag☠️
Honestly the r35 doesn't upshift like one and it feels weird at high rpms and weirdly slow too to get it to redline. Still assetto corsa has the best r35 engine note and upshifts. Tdu does the downshifts better tho for the r35.
This game makes you enjoy just cruising around the map man, so many youtubers are getting it wrong, not everything has to be another forza copy cat!
optimization is terrible, graphic is mid, but i really enjoyed playing the demo. beautiful map imo, good car sound and the car wheel menu is nice
Well the optimization is terrible because it's using the Playtest version of the game but with a bit of polish just so it was more stable as a demo.

Buy both games bro don’t listen to comments it’s just a bunch Forza Horizon 5 fanboys hating. This video you’re watching is a old demo build of the game. Don’t let these Forza Horizon fanboys sway your opinion the real game comes out September 12. What makes it even more crazy is that they’re comparing this old demo build to full released games that had horrible launches. Forza Horizon 5 took 6 months after release to fix lag, dsync and disappearing players while driving in lobbies that game wasn’t optimized correctly for 6 months straight same with The Crew Motorfest. The car models are incorrect on a bunch Forza Horizon 5 cars too if we were to go through all of the cars. That were probably fixed years later after launch. These TDU Devs literally let people play this game for free 3 months early to stress test servers and fix bugs let that sink in they care about their game no companies do that nowadays none! Forza Horizon 5 and The Crew Motorfest didn’t let people play their game 3 months early for free. They marketed the games up crazy and took peoples money and optimized and fix bugs years later.

That Q7 v12 TDI doesn’t sound like a diesel at all. TDU2 had a better sound for it. And the fact that we dont have unique gauge for every car is a bit disappointing. Also the “manual” shifting on an automatic and vice versa

If a AA developer can do it then playground games can. I hope this puts enough pressure on then to make a good forza game
imo they need to work a little bit more in car sounds and the handling of the cars

TDU has never had vehicle customisation before, it’s about appreciating the car as it is. Customisation is more of a NFS and arcade game kind of game. Hence there are barely any customisation in sim games like TDU or Test Drive. It just doesn’t fit.

That is not a dlc, that's a package version that includes the ford gt dlc in it along with either the silver sharps or silver streets dlcs, depending on which one you looked at. The ford GT doesn't have a standalone price show yet, but I expect it to be in between 10 and 20 euros.

Except for the map and car sounds, nothing else impresses me. Hell, I could say that the 15 degree steering angle and the overall dead city of hong kong kinda drove me off.Going to wait for release, that if they don't delay it.
Plus the fact that they're going to sell the 06 Ford GT as a separate dlc, if they're going to lauch single car dlcs one by one for 10-15 (or more) bucks a piece, that is going to be the biggest no thank you for me. Rather search up the second hand market for a TDU2 pc disc.
Did they reuse FH5 sounds? I swear some of them sound identical, like the Delta,Abarth, Aston, and the GTR.
Mustang GT sounds like it's using Mopar 6.2 HEMI V8 samples from Forza indeed...
Forza can sound overdone - Corvette sounds the best

Camera is really weird. There is no movements it looks like the car drives on rails. The sense of Speed is good yes but feels exaggerated due to heavy use of motion blur and a super wide FOV.
Well and then there is the almost none existent wheel movement.. looks very weird.
The city feels very lifeless.
They still have time to work on it. But this looks still very unfinished.
At least the car sound is already great.
But other than that I also didnt hear any white noise in the Background or wind going at 300 km/h.

@@eaglesluka699 I know, but I still Consider it far too High for a Racing Game!, they should Remove the Casino to Lower the Age Rating to 12. It won't get me to buy (they would have to change the setting to get me to even Gamepass it!) but it would still exponentially increase the sales potential for the Game.
Hate to break it to you guys but it looks nothing like Hong Kong.
it seems to be a good platform to build upon, but currently, the city is dead and the game runs like sh*t on PC. I'm barely getting 40-50 on my RX 6700 (equivalent of a PS5 GPU, between RTX 3060 and 3060 Ti for the AMD deniers) at 1440p with medium settings (and barely 60 with the same settings at 1080p)

all great but I hope they'll change/add some npc cars .. too many TTs and very few models BOOOORING and unrealistic. Cmon..
Online only and not true to the first 2 games is not going to work out for the game
