@@braaapboys6683 Nah, Bro I can sing more COUNTRY than that lol he clearly didn't listen to much 90 country music, Prob just googled random country lyrics just listen to a Justin moore song, then come back.
@@thegreat8982 Gotta love the "He doesn't fit my definition of X, so he sucks" crowd. Dude, live your life and stop worrying about others. I like Hayes' old stuff which was standard cookie-cutter country, but this is way better. Country music barely exists these days. Pop country would be a better description. Just ride the wave. I remember when Garth Brooks was cutting edge and "pushing the boundaries" of country.
I know this song isnt really traditional country but I appreciate it so much bc he is so passionate and cunning with his music. I love that he has referenced older country and this song has been executed beautifully.
He's listing snippets of lyrical lines from 90's country songs. How has no one picked up on this, instead ya'll wanna argue over his singing. I think it's a cute song, not 90's country sounding, but very present day country pop.
Yes! There are a lot of dipshits on here that say it is not 90s Country sounding. Well, it does not have to sound exactly like 90s Country, the lyrics are what matter.
Good to see that there's Alan Jackson's music video Chattahoochee concept here ... there's Alan and there's the lake and of course the wakeboarding .... Awesome video Walker ..on repeat every day now.
I'm with ya. If I was a girl and those references were thrown in to pick me up, I'd probably tell the dude to come up with something original. If I wanna listen to those songs, I will. They sound like actual country music and make me feel something. They are a mix of balads and fun peppy songs you can two-step or tap your toe on. There a lot of these frat boy dude bro country boys that try to list or tell you how country they are over a medium-tempo wrappy snap clap track with whangy guitars and sometimes not even that. You can evolve country music but still remember the roots and where it came from. Meaning put your own flavor with it but we don't totally need to lose the rootsy instrumentation or root out the very elements that make it country music. If you're gonna prove your "country cred" then make country music.
PEOPLE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS NOT SUPPOSED TO SOUND LIKE A 90s COUNTRY SONG! He’s referencing 90s country music titles in the lyrics. And this song is a style of country pop so can y’all stop commenting how this is not even close to country and how he’s “never heard 90s country” because if you actually read the lyrics, you’d realize that they are all popular 90s country songs.
I actually was directed here by another video and here's my two cents worth take it or leave it. I was born in the mid-80's and raised in the 90's on the actual tunes this dude references and then some. As a musician myself my opinion is that if you're gonna reference these songs in some of bubble gum pop song, why not make the music you're singing about. In other words write something heart felt and real people can connect too like Strait, Shenandoah, or Whitley do. Oh and it doesn't matter that these people make more money than you, quality music is quality music. The 90's country made you feel something and had fiddle and steel and made you feel something and wasn't snap and clap tracks over an auto-tuned voice. There were instruments. Listen to Ricky Skaggs music which had actual instruments and mixed country with bluegrass. If you make the genuine stuff, there's no need to mension a laundry list of the 90's songs.
God people are OVERREACTING to a damn TITLE. Creative title that doesn't describe the genre. Keep doing you Walker. You have a supportive base that loves what you're doing. ♥️
LAHaicy not overreacting just generally sad about How country these days isn’t worth a shit. Isn’t pop. Isn’t country. It isn’t anything anyone one will remember. And besides this guy sucks😂
LAHaicy. Yeah people are overreacting. It's the title. He didn't say that this song is a country song! Like, if people are commenting, "THIS ISN'T COUNTRY!!" Im gonna go on a Garth Brooks song and comment, "THIS ISN'T POP!!!!!!!"
Doesn't it make a difference to hear a talented artist having fun making music? Keep it up. Such a refreshing change from these singers belting out a few lines with a nice beat repeating x 20.

@@braaapboys6683 Nah, Bro I can sing more COUNTRY than that lol
he clearly didn't listen to much 90 country music, Prob just googled random country lyrics
just listen to a Justin moore song, then come back.
I love kit kats
@@thegreat8982 Gotta love the "He doesn't fit my definition of X, so he sucks" crowd. Dude, live your life and stop worrying about others. I like Hayes' old stuff which was standard cookie-cutter country, but this is way better. Country music barely exists these days. Pop country would be a better description. Just ride the wave. I remember when Garth Brooks was cutting edge and "pushing the boundaries" of country.
This was always on during my grandmas passing and it was 3 years ago this song always made me sad but today I decided to go back and listen to it 😔
The song is catchy and i love it!!!
this song made my day! so cute
Love Love #WalkerHayes
I love this song so much! I heard it a month ago but I didn't know there would be a music video
Neither did I but here we are Lol
Lets be honest here. He’s RIPPED. I mean the abs are reallll
Hello jacie👋👋👋
I know this song isnt really traditional country but I appreciate it so much bc he is so passionate and cunning with his music. I love that he has referenced older country and this song has been executed beautifully.
he has a unique sound that isn't too far off from Country and into the Pop and other genres, but isn't twangy and sawtoothy. i dig it
This is brutal...
He is so handsome love u. Can u do a tour in Rockford?
Walker Hayes the BEST!!!
love EVERYTHING YOU Do!!❤️❤️❤️
Hello Debi how are you doing hopefully you are doing good??
He's listing snippets of lyrical lines from 90's country songs. How has no one picked up on this, instead ya'll wanna argue over his singing. I think it's a cute song, not 90's country sounding, but very present day country pop.
🙌🙌 there is another smart person commenting! 😂😂😂
The minute i heard it i picked up on that. Love this song. He put all my childhood favorites into 1 song
Yes! There are a lot of dipshits on here that say it is not 90s Country sounding. Well, it does not have to sound exactly like 90s Country, the lyrics are what matter.
I think everyone picked it up it’s just nothing like actual bro-country
Mark Perrine amen
Good to see that there's Alan Jackson's music video Chattahoochee concept here ... there's Alan and there's the lake and of course the wakeboarding .... Awesome video Walker ..on repeat every day now.
Very clever and catchy 😁 good job WALKER HAYES
Agreed
It’s not true country he should have made it sound like an old country song
We are your biggest fans we love your videos and your music Sadie and Barron
I love how Alan Jackson is at the start of this video it's awesome
PEOPLE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS NOT SUPPOSED TO SOUND LIKE A 90s COUNTRY SONG! He’s referencing 90s country music titles in the lyrics. And this song is a style of country pop so can y’all stop commenting how this is not even close to country and how he’s “never heard 90s country” because if you actually read the lyrics, you’d realize that they are all popular 90s country songs.
Just heard you a few weeks ago thanks to Pandora. Big fan now. Love how you get the family involved in the videos. Look forward to more in the future.
same, im a dad of 7 and enjoy his stuff. His social media is very down to earth, fun family stuff
My best friend is literally obsessed with the song, it gets pretty annoying, Walker Hayes ur doing good, keep up the good work!!🔥🔥💝💙
I love this song!!! I listen to it every day.
Anyone else notice Alan Jackson fishing off the back of the boat? LOVE IT!
Heck yeah 👍
That is NOT Alan Jackson. He wouldn’t appear in this trash music.
@@JaxWatchesandEDC it is Alan Jackson and the music isn't trash. Don't be a troll. If you don't like it, listen to what you do like and stop trolling
Ya ma’am
Yes
His voice makes me happy
It's A Beautiful Morning😘
Thank You Beautiful💖💞💕I Love This Song💖💫🎶
I am so obsessed with this 😍😍😍 this should be sitting in that number one spot!!!
Just when I couldn't think he pull off another horrendous country song... He did it solidly.
Wow Walker you are awesome. You are a outstanding performer.
Hello Penny how are you doing hopefully you are doing good??
Wow i love how this song isn’t even country. Gotta love what they’re playing on COUNTRY radio these days😑
Exactly
Kenzie Carr wtf this shit ain’t country it’s pop bs, disliked this disrespectful garbage
@@tylerwilliams6076 Amen, I couldn't of said it better myself, been saying the same thing for years.
Where has this song been all my life?
I love how he put all of my childhood favorites into one song
My 3rd video of catching up with Walker. I'm liking his music so much. I've been looking for something, someone new...
I’m so in love with this song and I’m going to see him in a concert on the 6th and little big town!!!!!! Love you
I absolutely love this guy!
🤍❤️
Hey😊😊
God people are OVERREACTING to a damn TITLE. Creative title that doesn't describe the genre. Keep doing you Walker. You have a supportive base that loves what you're doing. ♥️
LAHaicy not overreacting just generally sad about
How country these days isn’t worth a shit. Isn’t pop. Isn’t country. It isn’t anything anyone one will remember. And besides this guy sucks😂
yes gurl!!!
Nailed it again!!!!! Love me some Walker Hayes!
I love everything about your song forever your awesome 🤠🎸💯❤
Hey ...
