I think they might be hiding the details here until release, In the first part it was not properly shown how Chandru (Younger Kamal was killed). We only see the blood splashing and face reactions.
There might be some way that Sankar would have brought back the younger Kamal Chandru who could have got trained by this father at Taiwan and reliving his dad's path.
