Only long time followers that know perfectly how Marco's voice sounds (and a few other really musically aware) are able to realize first time that it is actually Floor growling. I was like HOLY F%CK first time, i would never imagined she would do that. Been following the band since around 2003-4 and they never cease to amaze me.

You should listen to Tarot - Wings of darkness.. There is two versions original version from the '80s and remake of the song. It would be cool if you would react to both in one video.
You might also want to take a look at a side project from Tuomas Holopainen (Keybord player of Nightwish) called the "The life and times of scrooge" an absolute masterpiece.
Yup, the growling is a little confusing because the record version is with both Marco and Floor singing and the growling in the background. Obviously they can't do the same live, the first time I watched the video I thought it was Marco growling, I had to re-watch it to realize the "softer" voice was actually Marco and the growling was being done by Floor. She's the beauty and the beast at the same time.

Poet and the Pendulum is otherworldly in a totally different way. Either the studio version with Annette on vocals, or the live versions with Floor, both are amazing.
Yep, that's Floor doing the growls. Listen to her old band Revamp to hear it clearer. Wildcard or Here's my Hell from Bloodstock 2014 are good places to hear her growls by themselves.

Marco did also some work with Delain (a Dutch symphonic metal band) on their tours usually (Nothing Left, The Gathering, Sing To Me - these songs are on TH-cam). There is even some footage when Floor was there singing a song (A Day for Ghosts) as a special guest with Marco from 2009 when probably neither of them imagined that they would end up in the same band together later on. I quite liked when Delain´s singer Charlotte Wessels had as a guest Alissa White-Gluz from Arch Enemy, but that is neither here nor there.
Speaking about the Arch Enemy band, I´ve just recently found out about a band from the land of Babymetal, which uses the same type of vocals for their songs - G∀LMET PV / The Metter's Anthem :-)
Then he appeared as a guest on an album by Ayreon as many, many other people.
There was also a band Nothern Kings which did not last for a very long time. I think they got out three or four singles before the band disbanded. Marco was a part of that band.
I´ve already mentioned ReVamp in my other post. Floor uses more agressive vocals in a number of songs, including growling. The song Disdain has been mentioned already. You might check out these, as well: Wild Card, Precibus, The Anatomy of a Nervous Breakdown: On the Sideline and Misery´s is No Crime. There are already reaction videos on a combo she did with the band Evergrey (feat Floor Jansen) - In Orbit. And then, there is the whole Northward project, but that is not metal.
Another Dutch symphonic metal band, of course, is Epica. I mention it, because Mark Jansen, who is the guitarist, the songwriter and a vocalist for Epica, had been in the same band After Forever as Floor (which I´ve also already mentioned) before he left and formed Epica. Epica´s female vocalist Simone Simons and Floor are good friends (Epica feat Floor Jansen - Sancta Terra live at Retrospect). They also both create music and lyrics for songs. I would try it even for just good old Consign to Oblivion tune. :-)

I just remembered that there is also a nice song from Floor´s days in ReVamp called "Neurasthenia" which has as a second vocalist somebody you seem to like a whole lot. I´m not gonna say who it is. I've see that you like from the song that was played after the video when the credits was on screen , it's also a Nightwish Song and the name is Last of The Wilds, it's a very good instrumental song by the guys , a little TH-camrs react to this song, and I personally think that you Will like this song in particular, it's not a heavy song but it's a melodic "folk" song, it's very good!!

I think no female metalsinger can sing so much facettes of metal like Floor. She can opera, she sing metal, she sing rock and at last she can growl.
If you like heavy check out Master Passion Greed by Nightwish, It hits hard beginning to end. It's only Marco singing and you will not find a live video though (I don't think they have ever performed it live)

When I commented on Ghost River about this song I forgot to sub. I have since remedied that. Thanks for the reaction. If you want to see a totally different Floor singing try Floor Jansen (Revamp) : O Mio Babbino Caro, live @ MFVF 8. Not a long one but it shows she can do anything.
You will also love Devil in the Deep Dark Ocean live from Bloodstock 2018. The version uploaded by Nightwish Remasters is the one to do though. much better quality
