Hey guys! Sorry for the sluggish release of this video, Ash and I got our wires crossed. Hope you enjoyed this different style of video and I would love to hear more about your favourite examples of foreshadowing in gaming and media! - R

Another cool one, in Mass Effect 1, when you talk to Kaiden by the Mass Relay Statue, he says does any one else hear that low hum

Fun fact the Reason the elusive man's eyes are the way they are on this is spoiler whoever wants to read the comic books for mass effect do not read this any farther but the reason his eyes glow like that is because he was exposed to a reaper technology which permanently changed his eyes he actually saw a vision about was going to happen and for some reason it did permanently stain his eyes that color

SpectreSaunders that was a fan theory. A lot of people were mad that BW didn't rewrite their game to match that theory

Really great video. Shows just how much Bioware writing has changed from Mass Effect subtlety (for some things), to now where they hit you over the head with foreshadowing and see the story coming 5 miles away in Anthem. Hopefully Dragon Age 4 returns more to form. We still see glimpses of it, like the story with Meralda in Anthem, and Jien Garson in Andromeda. They still have the ability to surprise and delight us, and best of all, make us feel. Just need more of that, and less of the noise.

Totally agree, the older Bioware games have a very subtle touch to them which has waned in recent years :-/

I just love this, I hope you make more for Mass Effect! I din't think about that with the warden on the space jail you get Jack from. I noted he had no facial markings, but thought he had them taken off due to his profession.

Is be last common to make book my favorite foreshadowing moments in games are either the music or the environment story time where you feel the pressure of the story and you feel the weight of your decisions I also like moments that don't play on the main story but through there and they make you realize how much Responsibility your characters carry for example my favorite moment in mass effect 3 is when you're walking through the refugee doc and you can use here all of the conversations and how wars going in every decision you make had an effect on the Galaxy it makes you really feel like there is so much pressure on your character and Decisions are making

One of my favorites in the first Mass Effect is that the overhead map of the citadel tower/council chambers is the same shape as a reaper. Pretty interesting and definitely something that would go over new players heads! photobucket.com/gallery/user/Luan_Vetoreti/media/cGF0aDovcmVhcGVyLmpwZw==/?ref=

@@OuterOdyssey I do too, Hawke is my girl. It can be fun I guess to create your own protagonist for one and three, but I find a structured adn created character is more fun to follow. Like Shepard! and I'm sorry, I couldn't play Dragon Age Origins. The litle map looked way too much like GTO to me and kept taking me out of the mood, as well as your character having no voice. That was an odd choice. Glad they fixed that for three, but I just couldn't get past 2 hours in Origins cause of those two things! A friend of mine had the same issue and never went further than 4 hours.

Personally I think a lot of people are going overboard with their negative thoughts about Bioware The truth is a made a lot of great games and they've only really may 2 games that were a major let down yes they did Yes I'm not gonna lie they were major letdown them not can sugarcoat it they did definite the company and I know anthem isn't the greatest game but it has been tensional to be a good game at is a fun game if you like looter shooters and have friends to play with and if you're playing by yourself it's an OK game but it makes money for a year or so so they can get good games out like dragon age and mass effect look the truth is I still believe they have a chance and I think if they improve if they go back to the route and they go back to what made them a good company though bounce back but if they don't yeah I'm very worried where they're going to go and they could possibly go out of business I really don't want that but realistically unless they bows back in get back to what made them a great gaming company we're not gonna get that

The problem is both games came consecutively and the signs are they have moved away from the core of what worked for them. BioWare need to go back to what made them special and stop trying to become something they are not, anthem always looked like a bad idea following destiny. dragon age looks next up for them and maybe in 10 years time we will see mass effect rebirth on new systems.
