Ivo: "Please stop using me as a yardstick for failure"
Quite possibly one of my favourite lines of any Taskmaster series!!!
"Like me, your body is so much more shocking than your suicide could ever be" is pitch-dark genius!
The calmly gleeful, “Jenny and I…” from Alex is beautiful
I wish they wud have also included later in the show when ivo says to Frankie "welcome to thicko corner" and jennys all "WeElcome"
the cruel irony is that Alex is wrong here, it should be Jenny and me
@@stephenoxf Nobody cares about the truth/being right - otherwise we couldn't vote for lying politicians.
Where do you live that “me am from thicko corner” is proper English!?! Every English speaking country I have been to, it is “I am from thicko corner”.
But he is isn’t saying “I am from thicko corner” - he’s saying “me, over in thicko corner”. Alex was wrong.
Having Frankie on the show was amazing. His insults, jokes, the fact he didn't care at all whether he did well or not, all made his appearance the best anyone has had on the show. Also, hats off to Alex and Greg and other producers for having him on and not restraining him in any way. In fact, he seemed to have had a great rapport with Greg and Alex and it was a joy watching Greg laugh out loud at Frankie's jokes.
He was fantastic. I don't think he is the best, because everytime I settle on a favourite, I start remembering the other greats... Rhod in this particular instance.
@@kida4313 rhod gilbert was born to go on taskmaster
@@marycanary86 Frankly, he was born to torture Alex and put his life in danger. Taskmaster was only a vessel for his true purpose.
"The third law of thermodynamics encompasses all the energy in the universe. That's more than your bowl and your fuckin' spoon."
Frankie was the best of this season
"please stop using me as a yardstick for failure" needs to be on my office mug, and possibly even tattooed onto my forehead.
Tattooed on my forehead- ha ha
Ivo's genuine heartbreak when Alex says "Jenny and I" 👌🏼
Doesn't Susie Dent say if it should be "me, over in thicko corner" then it should also be "me and Jenny, over in thicko corner?" since you wouldn't say "I, over in thicko corner"? At least that's what I recall from the Something Rhymes with Purple podcast, unless I'm mistaken.
no, you're right. alex is wrong@@TassieLorenzo
@@TassieLorenzoyeah you take out the connective and the other subject (so here, “and jennie”) and if what’s left is grammatically correct it’s the right one (me over in thicko corner, not I over in thicko corner). Ivo was right 😭
Sorely missing when Jenny asked Ivo if he could get a refund from Eton.
Ivo was sublime: “You’ve seen my father’s search history.”
Poor Ivo got lit the hell up this season and I was loving every second. The photo of him having a breakdown in the “shed” (caravan) was my phone background for some time.
I’ve never been used as yardstick for failure! No, no, really x
Frankie was on fire this season and I was all for it.
I rated his "idgaf" attitude, contrasted nicely with Mae's diehard approach
It's Frankie, he's always on fire.
it was nice to see some Classic Frankie, like the JFK joke during the interview, and the "most heroic thing" prize task stand out the most for me.
He became immediately my favourite of the season.
15 seasons in and still funny as hell.
Nah, Ive watched Taskmaster from the start and this season is the worst. Really scraping the barrel for 'celebrities'. I only recognise one of them but didnt know their name. I'm applying for next season.
Frankie and Kiells laughs are opposite ends of a spectrum and i love hearing either of them from out of frame
oh I loved all this cast, but then again that's one of the amazing things about TM, you kinda end up loving almost all of them by the end. My therapist says its called 'Trauma bonding'
Frankie really came into his own with the quips and insults
Came olinto his own? Frankie is a heavyweight. And was long before Greg rose to fame. You can bet he was holding back tenfold
Ever since this show first started ive been waiting for frankie boyle to go on it. So glad it finally happened. The man is hilarious.
1:45 In stores now! Ivo Graham's yardstick for failure.
Lovingly hand-crafted by total fuck ups!
For when you need to grip your heid like a chimpanzee whose habitat in under threat.
In another realer sense the british security service and the creative team behind the antiques road show are to blame. 😂
This is probably the best series. I couldn't stop laughing
Absolutely the best series yet
Jenny is so gleeful! A joy to watch
In 40 years Ivo will end up as an old comic with extra dry humor, and it will be hilarious.
Frankie Boyle simply improves every situation.
Taskmaster Best Show On TV Alex Greg Are Brilliant 😅
frankie was the funniest
I've never seem a show where he wasn't.
@@seldom_bucketcorrect
And also, incredible smart. His jokes were so quick and on point
frankie should be in every series. he doesn't even need to do anything. just stand somewhere in the corner and roast the contestants every 5 minutes.
Frankie is awesome
Frankie is magnificent
Clicks this how many will this be Frankie lol
Brick Top was great in this season.
I think Frankie is the best contestant ever
Most seasons it's 5 comedians, but I feel like this one was 4 comedians and Mae Martin, she also NEVER laughs at anything, just a chuckle here and there
So the same as Victoria Coren-Mitchell in her series then
@@koushuu
Victoria was brilliant
and FUNNY
opposite of boring bland Mae
Was this all in the show? I watched the whole series and don't remember some of these parts.
Some might be outtakes. There are 2 videos of outtakes that to should watch too.
😂😂
Sorry Alex, you're incorrect. It should be Jenny and me, as you wouldn't say I, in thicko corner, you would say me, in thicko corner.
You'd have to make it a proper sentence first. The most likely interpretation would be "Jenny and me are over in thicko corner" which would be wrong because you wouldn't say "me am over in thicko corner".
@@senhowler You're right that it's "Jenny and I," but that wasn't his planned sentence. He was interrupted mid-sentence, but it was clear it was going to be something like, "Me and Jenny, over in thicko corner, could not provide an answer as to why there were five eggs," since it was a revision of his previous statement.
Still should be "Jenny and I," though since they're still the subject of the sentence, not an object.
Russell Howard looks different
That's not Russel howard
Notice how none of these comebacks or insults came from Mae Martin. They were one of the most boring contestants in the history of this show.
fr. so glad kiell is filling in for CoC
@@bewitchediaand he was incredibly entertaining on it
Oh thank goodness. I thought I was the only one who felt that way. They dragged the season down for me.
i think their interpretation of the tasks are wonderful but yeah.. not really a lot of quippy moments from mae
Most of these don’t really work without the context.
everyone was really funny and then there was mae martin who was as bland as a white sheet of paper
I thought her try hard attitude nicely contrasted Frankie. If none of them didn't give an f, it would be less funny.
@@ZesPak
She wasn’t funny she just tried to win
She sucked the life out of the whole show, really dull, bland and teacher's pet
When you look at the overall dynamic, it was good to have very different people, Frankie who just didn't give a shit, Ivo who was polite but incompetent, Jenny who was just very happy to be there and have fun, Kiell who was a maverick and Mae who was a tryhard, and them all being different complemented each other well.
Looking at the contestants individually though, I agree that Mae is as bland as a white sheet of paper.
I'm pretty sure "Jenny and I" would be wrong. If you remove the other person's name from the sentence it's easier to tell, and "I, in thicko corner" wouldn't work.
Isn't it standard grammer to list others' names first? It's just we ignore it usually. Regardless, "and I, over in thicko corner.." works, its just not very modern. I think so anyway..
"I, in thicko corner, ..." works just fine, I think.
depends on what the rest of the sentence would have been. I guess we'll never know, thanks to Alex's interruption
@@CrashSable We do know what it would have been though. He was revising his previous statement after Alex corrected him about who figured out why there were five eggs. The final, /correct/ version would have been, "Jenny and I, over in thicko corner, could not guess why there were five eggs."
I is the subject, me is the object. It would be "I am in thicko corner" or "In thicko corner is me" It's just how grammar works. "in thicko corner" is merely a prepositional phrase. The complete sentence would be more like "I, in thicko corner, didn't understand." "I didn't understand" being the actual sentence and "in thicko corner" being nothing more than a descriptive phrase.
I haven't watched every season yet, but this certainly has to be a contender for worst contestants, yes?
Tokenism, thy name is Mae Martin.
May was as entertaining as a snail
Even in the out takes, Mae isn't funny.
I still think the joke of the show is going way over her head... But she tried.
and yet she won her season.
@@cephalogenicand as frankie said "who gives a f"
@@cephalogenicdo you think taskmaster is an actual game show?
@@studentdrake Ed Gamble would fight you over that topic
@@CrashSable I could take him.
I find Ivo Graham unbearable. On the same level as Tom Huddleston and Boris ****ing Johnson. Sorry.
Why? Nobody is more self-aware about his poshness, and few if any use it to greater effect in their comedy. I absolutely love Ivo Graham, I think he's one of the funniest comedians in the UK right now. And that is saying something
Is this supposed to be funny? Frankie is the only comedian there
Ivos helplessness and panic attacks do throw him into the category too since he's able to entertain well using them.
The contestants are far weaker this series. Way less funny, interesting and recognisable who they even are outside of Frankie who's washed up.
Congratulations on confirming you know f*ck all 🤣
There's always one who not only can't keep up, but doesn't realise they're dragging the whole group back.
Congratulations. This season it was you!
Go back to watching Love Island, ya bellend. 😂
wow, that blonde dude is a chick?
Yep.
They’re actually a they, but I believe born a chick. Right out of the egg shell.
What's their name?
Frankie Boyle is fuxking brutal
There are levels to this, Frankie is above the rest
Mae Martin has to be the blandest person alive. I refuse to believe she is a comic. Granola has more personality. Oatmeal is funnier. I bet she blames this failure on men, because NOTHING is her fault.
