No, you don't need prior knowledge of the mobile game or other games to understand Relink. They will have Fate Episodes with each character for you to learn more about them (and maybe how they joined the crew, not sure), or you could check out the anime to learn how the crew got together.
Typical PlatinumGames boss fights didn’t know they actually Co-Developed the project, looks pretty neat tbh. 2024 has a great start so far. Even tho I think release your game almost a week earlier then Persona 3 Remake could hurt the sales.
