@@smolstreem he appeared worse than he is because he was still expected too be a #2 scoring option and play solid defense in GSW. He'll be a 3rd option in DAL at most and won't be expected to put in that kind of defensive intensity. He'll need to be a microwave or a spot up shooter and he can do that.
As a Warriors fan who actually watches games, seeing all the irrational online hate for Klay the past couple years, Warriors are a broken team with a toxic fanbase. He'll thrive in Dallas. His 3 pt % got back to his usual 43% post All Star break and I expect that will continue. He thrived playing with Jackson Davis, the first lob threat we had in a long time, drawing defenders and getting him easy dunks. He'll have much better bigs in Dallas. He thrived when he got to play with CP3. Luka will give him similar passing ability. Similar to Kyrie I think he'll be more relaxed in a healthier organization. No more Draymond toxicity, Poole ruining leads, Wiggins giving up on basketball, smallest team in the league, Kerr's boneheaded lineup decisions...just a much better vibe. Expect to see you in the finals again.

People who think Klay is totally washed will be shocked this year. He had to be a #2 in GS and play solid defense. In DAL he's a 3rd option at best and wont be expected to put in that kinda work on defense. Hes gonna be a catch and shoot/microwave specialist and thats it.
I think apart of be in a old team Chris Paul was the cherry on top. He was obsessed with reach the level of efficiency he has before making him not be focused in the game. You can see in the clip that he rush the shot before he plant his feet well a lot of times and the slumps on defense is for this too. Because phisically he doesn't look bad at all it's more mentally

That Kyrie deal is haunting the Lakers right now. Declined to trade for him which opened the door for the Mavs to get him. Luka,Kyrie, Nico, and JKidd build a title contending team together in 2 seasons. Now a high marquee free agent picks the Mavs over the Lakers as they like the winning culture they are seeing in Dallas.

I love Klay and the splash bros chemistry, but he hasn't been the same in terms of consistency, defense and off the dribble since the injuries. He's still a spectacular spot up shooter - like a high end Sam Hauser or Duncan Robinson, but I miss the days when he was all-NBA.
