Yeah totally, and they reduced the wheel gap a lot. They already look better than the OEM, but overall the car sits a bit taller. I am torn between lowering springs and coilovers, will make a decision soon.
@@sigvision4189 I am glad you mentioned your setup. Actually I just got the lower springs last month and was hoping to use them with the ECS struts. But at the same time, I was thinking if I should save those ECS struts as they are in good condition, and just go with coilovers. I see that rear ECS struts are available at 3SX bu the front ones are not available anywhere.. I would like to keep a backup set, just in case... How long have you had the megan springs and did you face any issues? Someone mentioned on FB groups that after sometime of installing the megan springs, the struts were blown.. What are your thoughts?
I also have a set of ESRs that will go on my 95, that might need spacers as it’s sitting on coilovers with 2.5 inch drop. It has the stock wheels now with 10mm spacers all around…
@reetomh awesome, i have a chance to buy the evo rims for my 1g 3000gt and was trying to figure if it will clear the brake. Your setup looks great even without lowering!
@@alwin5979 Thanks, the black color makes a big difference and makes the wheel well gap disappear. I did order the Megan lowering springs but decided not to install. Just for reference, I bought the wheels for 550, like new..
Hey, I definitely cut corners here... there was no time and had few hours to do all these after work... since these came really cheap, I was like why not? but agree on sanding them first.. I even left a small curb rash there hoping no one will notice it :)
Great job!!
Thanks
Love your GTO. The Evolution wheels look’s great on them. When you have the chance try out the BBS 👍
Thanks. I am right now working on another set of ESR rims to mount on my 95..Will post a video soon. Yes, BBS have great rims too..
Those wheels look alot nicer for sure

@All The Things (ATH) I used Megan racing lowering springs on mine. I still have factory 17s. Looking to put 18s on soon

Did the front rims clear without the 10mm offset? Did you also lower the car?
Yes, no problems at all. Many ppl prefer these EVO rims over aftermarket.
And I didn’t lower it, keeping it stock for the ECS stuff.

Should have lightly sanded before spaying and then adhesion promoter or primer and then the black paint so it does not peal.
