Never Stop. Chasing.
I am in Panama City Beach and I’m praying for anybody that this storm impacts. I know what it’s like to lose everything from a hurricane prayers going up for sure and if you know you’re somewhat in the path, please evacuate better. Be safe than sorry.
I'm in Lynn Haven, we really don't ever need another Michelle
Prayers from Pensacola beach🙏🏼🙏🏼
We have a house on front beach road 😳🙏🙏🙏🙏
Same pcb in a motorhome I'm probably going to drive to fort Walton beach
What are the chances of hitting Tallahassee area?
Thank you Reed for All updates.We. are in Pensacola Florida . Praying for everyone in the path
This thing is really ugly.....I survived Carla and Ike.
Thank you Reed. It is always reassuring to hear what you have to say, even when I don't like what I am hearing. I will be keeping everyone in my thoughts and prayers. My family and I have lost almost everything from one of these storms. Holding Space for the entire region and everyone that loves someone in the path of Helena.
I want you to chase this storm if only for the reason that you're the only person crazy enough to be out there in case someone needs help.
Tampa Bay area here... we are watching this close. Praying for everyone's safety. Its going to be a dousy!
Gerogia resident here. No idea how this hurricane will effect me, but hopes and thoughts to those being impacted in Florida.

Prayers for people in the path of this horrible hurricane, Reed please be careful with this one I have a bad feeling...
Thank You Reed
I hope everyone stays safe but I also hope it brings rain to my area we are in a severe drought so a curse and a blessing
Ohio here, we desperately need rain. We got a little yesterday but need more.
@cherylragland7122 South east Tennessee here and we got some sprinkles of rain here yesterday, but nothing measurable.
Hurricane Hell coming
Gulfcoast of Alabama here..definitely not letting my guard down, cause anything can still happen. 😬 Sending prayers for anyone in the path..
I'm in Dothan Alabama located in the S.E. corner of the state and 1hr from Panama City Florida. watching this closely thanks for keeping us updated
As a St Pete resident my eyes are wide open on this one
St pete resident, maybe you can go check on my condo, I'm out of town
Praying for you. I was in st Pete in May. Pretty town.
@@cmorris9494 Def has changed alot in 15yrs, they are now finishing up a 45 story condo building dtown never thought it see that here 15 yrs ago
I work in Bradenton I am paying close attention to this one as well. Praying for yall.
@@austingirts949 im in flood zone A its never fun to be the first ones evacuated and has happened quite alot the last 5 years
I was so scared during hurricane Ian. I honestly thought my mobile home was going to fall apart and trap me. Right now I am in a rehab. I think I will ask my doctor today if I can stay at least until the storm passes. I think I am safer here than in a mobile home.
I missed the live. I was listening to my local Forcast. Is what everyone needs to do. You will get more info for your pacific area. JS. THANKS Reed!
Flooding in many nations. Mostly their farmers are affected
This thing has the potential to be a beast
I'm here in far North Tallahassee. 20 min from the Georgia border. Sand bag locations have been announced but not shelters yet. FYI Chiles HS is usually a deignated pet friendly shelter with current shot papers and kennel cages.
I hope people will be ok
I missed the live but thank you for the update Reed!
Super can’t wait!
Good stuff Reed. But I think it's pronounced "Hell-EEn"
Let’s gooo storm chase activated… this looks like it’s actually gonna be a legit major hurricane and it’s got the name to
I hope and pray this is wrong and doesn't play out this way. Im in Augusta and this would put in the worst place possible.
scary, scary stuff!
Thanks Reed you rock
Reed I live in the pennsacola area it wàs projecting to hit this area but the local weatherman are saying the exact thing your saying it's going more east I was starting to get ready to evacuate but; m watching your forecast now thanks
Big bend, not nature coast, nature coast only goes through citrus county
Once it goes over the loop current it will explode with all that deep hot water. Feel bad for Mike from Mike's weather page if it heads towards Tampa I'm in fruitkand park leesburg area praying I dint get hit by tornados
Fml from central fl
Stay safe! Thanks for all of the info.
Reed, you're one of the best for years in field meteorology and respect what you've done throughout the years. I promise that will be a MAJOR CAT 4 veered along the Florida Gulf Coast from a westerly front once it enters the Gulf in general.
Damn it, Ft. Myers here, better not turn more east, folks are still recovering from IAN
🙋♀️Fort Myers too :/
Citrus County would get bulldozed by storm surge in that scenario
Good info brother
It's nice to see your professional update here. First time I have seen you do this Reed. You should do more of these. We need to hear your expertise more. You give feedback that other meteorologists ignore. I appreciate your input. Usually you are on the ground and in the midst of things. This is a nice change of pace for you.
Now that we are Entering in Libra season, hurricane season is becoming super charged.
October 2024 is going to be one hell of a month for the cosmos.
Mark my words.
3 epic events are about to occur.
They are going to affect our weather and planets in our solar system.
I'm inland from Cedar Keys but if this system plays out as projected - This could be devastating for Cedar Keys and those cities and towns inland on the 'dirty side' of the 'cane.
Prep now - Doesn't help to be pro-active --- Right?
Stay safe ya'll!!
"have you ever heard of the Hurricane.....yeeeeaaah, yeah, yeah, yeah"
😅
Finally some action, this season overall has been a snooze fest for places like CSU forecasting it to BE THE MOST NAMED STORMS EVER!!!
RIP northwestern FL
Hurricane HELLene😅😂
a low after a low
Might get to see the eye, I live almost directly in the forecast track center (Havana FL).
Watching from Tampa
The different models are all over the map in terms of intensity. I was watching other channels who predicted everything from a tropical storm to a Cat. 1, 2 or possibly a 3. Because it hasn't even formed yet, they can only go by the models that have it all over the place. They are saying that they have to wait until it is in the Gulf before they can make more accurate predictions.
In Santa Rosa Beach, we are watching
Is Sarasota in this path? Which is where I live.
Prayers for Florida
🙏🙏🙏
We’re in West Bradenton and this is so scary!!
I hope not my brother lives in Bradenton and works in Sarasota.
I think you meant to say big bend rather than nature coast
Idalia last year and now Helene this year in potentially the exact same spot. The Gulf Coast just can't catch a break
I'm in georgia
Give me those spaghetti plots fam
Also reed I have plenty of room here if you need a place to stay I live right off the interstate 10 in Milton Florida next to pennsacola
Glad you went on emergency update getting nasty situation base on new models Georgia might get tough to a lot of water coming….,
It's a hurricane now
CAT 4 is very likely at landfall. All residents within the cone should move WEST immediately!
Long time no see Reed! I live 90mi North of Panama City Beach now. Maybe I'll see ya???
Just casually picking up a new drone.😂
Reed what do the WIND SPEEDS look like ?
Got a ex in Florida. Hope everyone else stays safe!
@@maverick3716 I’m so sorry, if you heard me laughing, it’s not funny, really🤷🏼♀️
This would be a good one to not stay at home for...
It's pronounced Steenhatchee.
Beast
HALLO ❤
STORM CHASERS LISTENIN' TO "L'Amour Toujours (Sped Up Hardstyle)" RN
So it looks like the Models I saw of it hitting Mississippi were wrong 😅that's good
Damn definitely flying into Tampa on Thursday
@@joshtuggle224 you're flight could get cancelled ! Keep checking the flight updates
Looking like a repeat of Idalia
Tallahassee resident here. I am very concerned , and our local weather and authorities are not talking about it much ! Sandbag locations announced, but they are not Talking about this too much yet locally , which i think is a mistake. It takes TIME for people and pets to evacuate, especially for folks that NEED to.....
In Havana myself, only talk I've heard on this one has been on the SARnet amateur radio system
Geez you just had those tornados in May :/ 🙏🏻
Will you be chasing this one? In South Georgia and would like to see the Dominator. Safely of course!
“HELL-LENA”…..
Hell- ene
Prayers from nc
Dang! 😮
Hey Reed, will this bring a Nader threat to North Carolina like Debby did?
DONT RUN OVER ANOTHER DEER SUPER GEEK!
Should I cancel my Orlando trip from 9/25- 9/29??
I would
@@normapenetta5940 yeah I would
Ian the airport was closed here in Fort Myers
Thank you Reed, scary possibility!
It's going to track.oretp the east and is going to be major. I don't care what the models say.
Me and my wife just got back from Panama City this Saturday and the weather while we were there was some of the best we have seen in years. The water was still really warm for September. We have many friends down there, so I hope they are spared from this storm. Do you think there is a chance Panama City may get hit?
My family is staying on 30A and it’s so hot that I can barely breathe. We are checking out Friday…but will certainly be paying attention to the forecast. I heard the weather was in the 70’s last week.
@@TheMimiof7 the weather was pleasant but toward the end of the week it got pretty hot during the day, hot enough that I wore shoes on the sand and deck but in the evenings, it cooled off to where it was really comfortable eating and listening to music outside at one of our favorite places called Alibi's.
Please lighten your Opacity on the map. We cant really see the land borders. It makes it hard to follow you.
extreme South Georgia here, not looking good.....
This Floridian says tx
you need a better web cam
Watching from just south of St. Augustine, Fl!
Send it to OHIO! We need rain lol
Just the remnants please!
Im just below atlanta. What can we expect???
Rain
Heavy snow and fog
Light wind and sunshine
@@petermarshall7352 😂😂😂😂 believe the fog part but idk about the snow. We hardly get that 😂😂😂😂😂
Houston here, to all my Florida friends on the west side....prep now....and get ready to leave. I've been though Carla, Alicia, and Ike. It gets to you faster than you think....most of you know that but for the new residents, these suckers are no joke....especially this monster. If it's a cat 4, and I think it's gonna be cat 5...you don't wanna ride this one out. Take care and take a vacation north or west now, pack up the car and the kids and the dog and leave your stuff behind. You may not find it when you get back. 175 mph sustained winds and 20 inches of water going sideways for 5 hours twice, don't worry about your carpet.
Helene....is pronounced Hel-eene....no Helen-a.....wouldn't want you to say the wrong name all week! Blessings Reed & crew!
I’m sad it’s gonna miss ft Walton /destin beach area we need more rain. This thing gonna bend and bend. More towards Tallahassee.
It still very easily could shift west!
@@CB-on8bd don’t be an idiot.
@@ReedTimmerWx not with the high pressure system in the Atlantic the L pressure system mid west to weak to bring it to the west at this point.
blah blah blah
They are wrong on PTC9 right now. the center is directly below Georgetown, those tracks need to shift 100 - 150 miles east. even the 11am update is not initializing in the correct place. Button Hook on 2. Down. Set. Hike.
